OCC: I hope this came out the way I wanted it too. Note: The pink text is Kristy's inner thoughts. I hope you enjoy. hah
What do I do now? How should I go about it? Was it a dream? If it was; It was clear as day. How should I feel about it? There are so many swirling in my head. Someone tell me what to do! I would like a girl to tell me how they will reaction? Please... tell me……What would you do…..If….a….girl……came….on….to….You!
Scene opens with Kristy throwing her suitcases on the bed, changed into her running gear and made sure her shoes were laced tight before she hit the pavement outside the hotel. At least this way she could still see some of the sites while fulfilling her athletic duty to train until she dropped. Ear buds in and ipod in hand her thumb scrolled through song after song until she found something with the perfect beat to pound the pavement to. By all accounts Kristy was supposed to be one of those 'rocker chicks' right? The ink on her skin and her metal entrance music were evidence some would suppose. Those would be the same people guffawing at her choice in music now as Matchbox 20 "She's So Mean" was playing in her ears.
What should I do? How could I look at her in the face?* Kristy thought to her self.*
I kn-kn-know a girl, she gets what she wants
All the time, 'cause she's fine
But for an angel, she's a hot, hot mess
Make you so blind, but you don't mind
Was it because of the alcohol? Did she feel this way about me before?*Kristy pauses for a moment* She was checking me out in the gym yesterday. *The thoughts bounced around in Kristy’s mind.*
'Cause she's an uptown, get-around, anything-goes girl, girl
She's a hardcore, candy store, give-me-some-more girl, girl
What could she say? It felt like the song described her in some way but she was also aware probably every girl underneath the sun thought that. She was laughing under her heavy breath at the idea while she jogged, her muscles finally starting to warm up a bit. It felt great to be able to be up, out and moving after that cramped plane ride and she dodged and weaved her way through people on the side walk.
She'll make you take her to the club
But then she leaves with her friends
She likes to stay late at the party
'Cause the fun never ends
And all her clothes are on the floor
And all your records are scratched
She's like a one-way ticket
'Cause you can't come back
*Kristy stops for a moment, she trails over her lips with her finger and blushes.* What if I enjoyed it?* Kristy shakes head and slaps her cheeks.* What was I just thinking?.* Kristy begins to start running again.*
Sayin' yeah, and you want her
But she's so mean
(You'll never let her go, why don't you let her go?)
Yeah, and you want her
But she's so mean
(You'll never let her go, why don't you let her go?)
I have a boyfriend!* Kristy’s pace increases* Am I really into girls?....No! That can’t be!*Kristy’s pace increases more* How should I face Liz? What if she says she loves me? I have a boyfriend that I care about!*Kristy’s pace increases a lot more* What should I do?!
A red light interrupted her flow and the young woman was forced to stop at the cross-walk, jogging in place so that her heart rate wouldn't fall. She felt a drop of sweat run down her back between her shoulder blades and looked up at the sky line. From here she could see the 801 Grand Towers which stretched up far above the cities other sky scrapers. So this was how it was going to be from now on huh? Touring not just the country, but probably the world and seeing landmarks she'd only read about in magazines. The light changed and she was able to continue her run, it felt like she could go for hours today. Hell, she realized she was supposed to meet her aunt later. Kristy runs back to the hotel and goes up to her run. She runs around the corner and......
Bump!
*Kristy falls to the ground rubbing her forehead.* Watch where you are going!
You watch where you're going!
Kristy begins to slowly open her eyes and realize it was ......
You can cut the awkwardness in the air with a knife.
Both women stared at one another, trying to find the words to say something.
It feels as if time has stop; that if one of them doesn't say anything they will be trapped in this eternal space.
I can't breathe!
Kristy couldn't breathe it felt as if the pressure was crushing her.
Kristy was going to speak and end the troublesome silence.
But Liz suddenly stood up.
I am sorry!
Liz quickly ran down the hallway to her room leaving Kristy on the ground. Liz makes it to her door and closes it. She is leaning against her door she could feel her heart beating uncontrollably and blushing.
Was that the right thing to do?......I..just.....couldn't.....say it.....I...couldn't.....tell..her...how I really feel.
The scene slowly fades to black.
