Roughly a week ago a chance meeting between Theo Pryce and Tony Stecchino, the Don of one of New York’s Five Families of the Italian American Mafia set in motion a series of events which now brings us to today. Thanks to the efforts of Tony, and Michael McBride’s Ex-Wife, Nice Russo, a Lady Don of one of New York’s other Five Families; a meeting has been set up where Michael and Theo will outline their plan for providing guns and drugs to at minimum the mob in New York.

Plaza Hotel
New York City

A black SUV pulls up to the curb of the Plaza Hotel, out of the front passenger side steps Michael McBride, coming out of right side door of the SUV is Theo Pryce and greeting them at the entrance of the hotel is Tony Stecchino.

“Theo, welcome back to New York City, I hope this place suits your needs.”

“Absolutely. Tony, allow me to introduce Michael McBride, he’s the guy I was talking to you about previously, the guy who will be running this joint venture of ours. He also happens to be Nice’s ex-husband.”

“No shit? I knew the Lady Don married an Irishmen, didn’t picture him looking like this fellow. Good to meet you Michael. Come, we have much to discuss and the others are waiting upstairs.”

The triumvirate of Theo, Michael and Tony make their way through the hotel and to the pre arranged destination, which is a large conference room on the 34th floor that overlooks Central Park. Once inside the room we see a large wooden conference room table situated in the middle of the room. Seated at the table are 3 men, and 1 woman, presumably the woman is Nice Russo. Behind each person at the table is at least two other men, most likely they are the bodyguards or counselors of those seated at the table. There are also three empty seats at the table, one located at the head of the table and one seat each on the immediate left and right of the head seat. Upon Theo, Michael and Tony entering the room the various side conversations immediately cease and all eyes focus on the two new faces in the room. After a few seconds of awkward silence Tony sees the writing on the wall and takes it upon himself to begin the introductions.

“Gentlemen, and Lady, allow me to introduce to you Theo Pryce, CEO of Pryce Industries and Michal McBride, a…”

“A private contractor of mine and from what I understand someone not completely new to all of you.”

Michael and Nice quickly share a glance and a smile before Tony gets back to the introductions.

“Thank you Theo, I probably should have asked Michael’s exact title before coming in here but now that that is passed I will carry on with the introductions. Seated at the table are the heads of the other 4 families in New York. On the right we have Nice Russo, immediately next to her is Vin Burgo. Across from Vin is Nicky Abruzzo and next to him is Carmine Mancuso. We welcome you to New York and looking forward to what you have to say.”

“Thank you Tony.”

Tony takes his seat at the table followed by McBride. Theo walks over to his seat but rather than sitting down he remains standing to address the various faces in the room.

“Hello everyone. As Tony just said, I am Theo Pryce, I would imagine that he filled you in briefly on what it is my company does and what our general proposal is here to you all. Allow me to reiterate some of the details so as to make sure we are all on the same page and then from there I will allow Michael here to outline the finer details. But firstly, does anyone have any questions?”

Theo surveys the room, giving everyone a few seconds to speak up, after no one does Theo decides to continue speaking.

“So here is the overall outline of what we are proposing. As I understand it now, all of you obtain your guns via illegal channels, gang bangers, overseas and other connected individuals. You all have your own sources and I have no desire to research them all out but we both know that the more people involved in the process the more potential there are for fuck ups and things that could lead the police and the FBI to your door step. Same thing goes for the drug trade. I know no one likes to speak about drugs but they are other there. To be honest with you, if I were you all I would keep my nose out of drugs, seems to be that is what has lead to “your thing” taking the hit it has over the last 20 years or so. No one wants to go to jail for the mandatory 20-30 years for pushing drugs.”

“Yeah but you ain’t us.”

“Very true, just giving a personal observation.”

“Fuck your observations.”

“Come on Carmine, he didn’t mean anything by it.”

“Fuck him, he doesn’t know a thing about us.”

“Not for nothing Carmine but unlike you guys, my dealings aren’t in the newspaper seemingly every day, so yeah, I know a lot about you. And that’s why I am here, to help you all keep what you do out of the media, so how about you take a sit of whatever you have in front of you and calm down.”

“Yes, let’s all take a drink and let Theo get back to his presentation.”

Tony is the first to raise his glass, the others at the table with the exception of Michael join in “A salute” and each member of the group takes a sip from their glass.

“As I was saying, Pryce Industires, among other things not only sells guns but builds them. That means, that we can control the production and distribution of any weapon you want, and it will be done completely off the books. We can set up deliveries weekly, monthly, or really however often or infrequently you want them to be. When it comes time for you to take ownership of your order we can have the meeting take place at any number of places that I already own and or can purchase. The point being, we don’t do this at any one spot, thus making it harder for anyone who may catch wind of what we are doing to get eyes on our operation. In terms of payment, all money will go through Tony, he will get 10% of each transaction as payment for his part in setting all of this up. The rest will come to me, cash only, untraceable bills. I would imagine you already have operations set up to clean your money so by all means use them, if you would rather use someone I have that can be arranged as well.”

This time it’s Nicky Abruzzo who decides to chime in. “Why you?”

“Pardon?”

“Why should we do business with you? We each have our own things going right now and as far as I understand it, things seem to be going good, no real issues to speak of that we can’t take care of on the street. So again I say, why you?”

“For a few reasons, first and foremost I run a legitimate business, in fact, I deal with the government on a daily basis. Now I am sure your first thought is, “why in the hell would we want to do business with a guy who already has the government on speed dial?” And it’s simple really. You guys think what you do flies under the radar? You have no idea. The last thing the government wants getting out is that their biggest supplier of weapons also deals with the American Mob. Trust me when I tell you, my company is practically untouchable.”

Nicky looks around the room to see if any of his other cohorts wish to speak up, no one does and so he decides to be the one “And Michael here, how does he fit into all of this?”

“After today, and assuming you agree to this joint venture, Michael will be your single point of contact going forward. Additionally, he has been handling business like this on his own for years as Ms. Russo can attest to, and he’s done rather well for himself. That’s why I hired him, that and his loyalty. I don’t ever have to worry about Michael turning rat. Believe me when I tell you it makes my life a whole hell of a lot easier. Now, if you would like Michael can explain for you the process by which you place and receive an order as well as how to work out payment. Does anyone have any objections to that?”

“Oi, thank you lad. Here’s how we do things. Each one of you will be given a burner phone monthly. I will hand deliver them to you. Using that phone you will place you will contact Tony, or his representative to place your order. Once the order has been placed you will receive a text message from an unavailable number, that number which will give you a date, time and location of where you can pay for your order. Once that happens you are to remove the battery from the phone and dispose of it, and the phone in two different locations. It doesn’t matter where so long as they are two separate locations. When you arrive at your destination to pay you will then be given the address for where you can go to take ownership of your order. The reason we do it this way is so that if anyone is watching, they will never see money and merchandise exchanging hands at the same time in the same place. Without that the local or federal government has no chance at making a case. Once you have picked up your order we will part ways and then we will repeat the process every month. If for any reason you need to place a rush order talk to Tony, he will contact me and he and I will work out the details. The buildings that these meetings will take place, either the money or order exchange will be facilities owned strictly by Pryce Industries. Currently we have roughly 30 different buildings within the 5 boroughs and we can easily purchase more. Any questions?”

Again, the room remains silent, clearly these folks like to play things close to the vest. Theo takes a que from Tony and breaks the silence. “Well there you have it. Michael and I will leave you all to discuss this amongst each other, Tony knows how to get in touch to let me know the outcome of your discussions. It was a pleasure meeting with all of you, even you Carmine. And I hope to do business with all of you in the near future” With a nod of his head Theo lets Carmine know that there are no hard feelings for what transpired earlier.

Michael gets up from his seat, as do the other members at the table, Michael and Theo each make their way around the table shaking hands with the heads of the 5 families, shaking Tony’s last as he is also the one who sees Michael and Theo out of the room before turning back to help lead the discussions with his Mob brethren as the doors close behind him.
