Hello Zepp – by Charlie Clouser bellows out of the booming speakers. The crowd go silent for a moment until the psycho sensation Steve Davids emerges at the top of the ramp in front of the X-Tron. He raises his arms in the air and receives a flurry of jeers. He gazes out into the waves of fans and spits down on the ground with a smirk on his face. He slowly jogs down the ramp, but stops half way down. Staring deeply into one fan’s eyes, the demon grins and winks at the guy who is screaming abuse and sprays of spit fall short of Steve’s rugged beard.
He is looking unusually suave yet rough. His beard still as thick as ever but he is wearing a blue ventuno three piece suit. Darkness surrounds him as he grasps hold of the middle rope and pulls himself up onto the ring apron. Climbing over the middle rope and ascending across the ring to receive a microphone from the ring assistant, ‘Your God and Mine’ snatches it briskly before standing boldly in the centre of the ring. A beaming light shines down on Steve Davids, jeers continue but he waits for complete silence before raising the microphone to his lips and beginning to proclaim powerfully.
“You know, I’ve got a lot to say so why don’t all of you shut up and listen in complete silence.”
This receives an onslaught of boos. Steve simply shakes his head before continuing.
“John Austin. The great, John Austin… I applaud you for your excellent decision of picking me to be on your team. You are not the same idiot that you once were: The man who stole my XTreme Championship from me, the man who truly believed he was the real champion after I had just won the god damn match. Now my reign did not last long, but it is only a matter of time before I hold gold on my shoulder once again. Whether it is YOUR United States Championship OR HIS Xtreme Championship, I can tell you now that my not so distant future certainly has golden glory in it. Now it was wise of you to pick me because let’s face it, Andrew Morrison hasn’t won a match of any value since… since… well? Possibly ever? I think he might have beaten JTC or Matt Ward once? That counts… right? Yeah I just don’t know. I find it interesting Andrew that you try to take credit for the things that John Austin has achieved. Just how damn high are you? Cut the bullshit. You haven’t achieved anything yourself so how the fuck could you have helped anyone else achieve anything?”
Steve laughs to himself; the fans do not seem as amused.
“If you really helped him, if you were really of any value to him… then why Andrew, has John Austin chosen to psycho sensation to fight next to him tonight on Thursday Night Warfare and not you? Moving along, you choose to ramble and ramble about Moses. The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Well I have news for you Morrison, the Trinity does not exist so you cannot fight against its message or its beliefs. You choose to undermine the word of God, the Ten Commandments but then, does it really matter what you think about something that never even existed. No one is enslaved by the word of God, but those who believe of a man’s written word must believe all? It is naïve for people to believe in the past but those who need faith are week Andrew. That’s why they cling onto the message of God. Without Faith, what do we have? A life of nothingness is what waits in death. Not rebirth, not heaven, not hell. Though, you do not need to die to see the burning pits of hell anyway. For just like my own Father, you will see that this week.”
Steve begins to get angrier, shouting words to emphasise them.
“I do not believe in the Holy Trinity but one thing you better fucking believe is that there is one true Trinity. The Trinity: shall conquer Andrew Morrison, Smoke Man & AJ Powell. Bow down to Graves, Davids & Austin. For the Main Event shall see you three burning in the hell that is defeat whilst we bask in the heavenly glory of victory.”
Steve calms himself, and leans forward on the top rope now.
“John, I need to make something clear to you. Champion or not, you do not lead this battle. You might have picked me to join your side but that means nothing. I am sick of leadership that fails, and I am sick of weakness… We unite together as equals or not at all… This brings me perfectly to my next subject: Sebastian Duke and Griffin MacAllister. You two can continue the pathetic fighting for as long as you like but I am just about sick to death of it. Sebastian Duke, you’re supposed to be this great leader. What have you led us to other than failure and the abyss? You continue to fight your own brother. How does that work? How can we be a team fighting against The Black Circle when we’re too busy fighting amongst ourselves… I will never accept that The Black Circle will hold control of this company for eternity but it sure as hell does seem like that at the minute doesn’t it? With no one on Warfare stepping up to the plate other than Smoke Man, the man who leads another failing rebellion. Who do we put our hands in? It is simple really; we must all unite as Madness did this week to fight the Circle. One team – no egos and leaders, just a bunch of people who seek freedom. Is that so much to ask? Smoke Man, you stated to Austin that he is a coward? He is a coward for cashing in a briefcase that he earned? That could not make any less sense. He is not an idiot; he cashed it in on a bloodied man because that’s what intelligent men do. Is that too much for you to comprehend?”
Smirking, Steve turns his head to the left and looks up the ramp.
“Would anyone back there have done anything else? I highly doubt it. It is okay though guys, all that weakness on your team is made up for in AJ Powell!! Yeah I didn’t think so either. People of the back you should not put your faith in me, but we should put our faith in each other. The Black Circle must reign supreme… no more.”
The beam of light vanished and the arena fell into complete darkness. A thud was heard as the shot faded.
