Gen. Gungho walked up to the 3 beasts in the middle of the arena and the raucous crowd grew silent. The first monster rushed toward him as Dr. Zero watched on. Gen. Gungho sidestepped it at the last moment, driving his sword deep into it's neck before leaping onto the back of it's head. It howled and so did the audience. The thing began to scratch at it's head with massive claws, attempting to knock Gen. Gungho off, but it couldn't reach him.

The other two monsters approached and Gen. Gungho crawled to the thing's face. He drove his left arm into the monster's left eye, all the way to his elbow. It shrieked and stumbled. Another monster whipped it long, jagged tail at Gen. Gungho, but missed, striking it's brother. The beast Gen. Gungho was on fell over, but the general held onto it's eye socket.

As it regained it's footing, Gen. Gungho repeated, digging his right arm into it's right eye. The thing was blinded and enraged.

Dr. Zero noticed that where the monster's had come from, there were a set of chains that had restrained them. They also happened to be almost directly under the kingly-looking Malkroan with the gem that could open doors to all realities. He began to inch closer to the other side, in an attempt to get the chains. His eyes, shifting from the gem, to the monsters, to the chains.

The monster that Gen. Gungho was on began to flail wildly, and it slashed one of the others across the face. The other backed up, and Gen. Gungho's beast charged it, toppling it over. Gen. Gungho laughed, and the crowd roared.

The beast that had been clawed had retreated, and noticed Dr. Zero approaching the chains. It began to slowly approach him. Dr. Zero squatted down and grabbed a chain, keeping his eyes on the monster. He started striking a weak-looking link with his pathetic sword, and the monster got nearer.

*CHINK*

The chain snapped! Dr. Zero quickly hurled the chain above his head and just missed his target! He had hoped he could wrap the chain around the Malkroan king's head and yank him to the arena floor. Instead, it was caught by the royal guards.

Dr. Zero desperately tried to pull the chain out of their grasp and now the monster was right at him. It howled, and Dr. Zero turned back around to face it's grisly teeth.

*THOOM THOOM THOOM THOOM THOOMTHOOMTHOOMTHOOM*

The blinded beast Gen. Gungho was on was charging directly for them. Dr. Zero dove to the left as the monster collided with it's brother, both of them barreling into the wall.

The stadium seats crumbled, sending a good third of the audience crashing to the arena floor. Gen. Gungo leapt from his monster and ran through the injured crowd to Dr. Zero, grabbing him by the shoulders.

"HAHA! We got 'em right where we want 'em now, boy!" he gleefully shouted.

Dr. Zero looked to where the Malkroan king had been before, and saw him dangling with members of his guard hoisting him up and away from harm. Dr. Zero picked up a softball-sized piece of rubble and hurled it at the king, striking him in his back.

"Curses," he cursed. He was aiming to knock the crown from his head. The crowd was being ripped to shreds by the angry monsters who seemed to have forgotten all about Dr. Zero and the cockatiel-headed Gen. Gungho.

The Malkroan king had been lifted to temporary safety, when Dr. Zero saw a huge stone slab that had fallen, now propped against the broken seats. He looked at Gen. Gungho.

"Can you lift me onto that?" asked Dr. Zero. "Once I get there, I can catch him and we can retrieve the gem. We can save your people. It's the only way. I am not strong enough to lift you."

WIth no sign of hesitation, Gen. Gungho did as he was asked and helped Dr. Zero climb the slab with his sword in his beak.

Immediately upon reaching the stadium seats, Dr. Zero was set upon by two guards. The first raised a sword high above his head, and was stabbed in the stomach. Dr. Zero shoved the body into the other and sent them both tumbling into the bloody, terrified crowd below.

He spotted the Malkroan king trying to escape through the riotous crowd and began his pursuit. Dr. Zero picked up one of the fallen guards swords, noticeably heavier and sharper, and began slicing through Malkroans who stood in his way. He realized he was moving to slow and began to crawl over them, almost using their heads and shoulders as steppingstones.

He saw the king ushered into, what appeared to be, an exit and he went straight for it.

The hallway he found was littered with guards, and the king stood at the very end, laughing. The king removed his crown and aimed the gem at Dr. Zero. It began to glow very brightly and a green blast shot out at him.

Dr. Zero dodged it, and it burned a hole through the wall to his right. The guards stood back. Another, this one just missing Dr. Zero but striking his sword. The blast bounced off and burned another hole, this time in the floor.

If beaks could smirk.

Dr. Zero leapt and slashed his sword at one of the guard's heads, connecting and beheading him. He kicked the head toward the king.

"COME AT ME!" he shouted.

The guards, without waiting to hear from their king, attacked. The king was still attempting to blast Dr. Zero, but his men were getting in his way. One by one, his guard was either sliced down by the apparent-expert swordsman, Dr. Zero, or blasted to bits by the gem of Malkroa wielded by their king.

Dr. Zero really wasn't a good swordsman. His anatomical knowledge is what guided him, the same way it did in the XWF ring and the same way it would on Warfare this week. He could see every ripple in the muscle hidden by the flesh, he saw every motion of the hips and the shoulders, every twitch of the wrist and eyes. It was like child's play.

Before long, every guard had fallen, and it was only the Malkroan king and Dr. Zero. The king's ambush had failed. He held the crown high, and it glowed even brighter this time. A huge, deadly ray blasted out toward Dr. Zero who held his sword out, blocking the blast. It ricocheted off in several directions, burning large holes all around…

Including one in the king's chest. The king dropped the crown and fell over. Dr. Zero approached him hesitantly. He could see that the king was still gasping for air, and to make sure he didn't find it, Dr. Zero cut off his head.

He then knelt and picked up the crown, and began to pry the gem it's resting place. The texts he had read said that the use of the gem of Malkroa could use it with only their mind. Dr. Zero imagined a portal to take him home to his laboratory in Parts Unknown.

Just as it materialized, a literal wooden door with a loose handle, standing alone, Gen. Gungho's gasping voice could be heard behind him.

"Ya' got it! HOT DAMN! Let's go take care of my folks!"

Dr. Zero laughed. "Your people are of no relevance! I surely hope they do not suspect that you killed their king!" That dastardly bastard. Gen. Gungho ran after him, but it was too late. Dr. Zero had stepped through the door, right into his own lab.

Alph greeted him, "That it, boss?"

"Indeed, it is."

Dr. Zero was dripping with Malkroan blood as he removed his gear.

"Looks like you've been through hell. You sure you're ready for tonight? You know Duke has Unknown Soldier in his corner now, right? Guy is a freaking nutbag."

"I am the world breaker, Alph!" Dr. Zero shouted. "I have conquered civilizations! Nations bow before me. Galaxies tremble at my name. There is no fear here, Alph. Tonight, we fight flesh and blood. I have the greatest weapon in existence standing in my corner. We are facing down one man, in Mystica, who has never been anything other than a slave to those he finds greater than himself. Whether that be the Myst or Eli James IV. He is a follower. He is a nothing. While I am facing down the entirety of existence, he has only been handed championships. A championship that he lost to a large, mentally child-like man. And they both crumble tonight. The Unknown Soldier will not factor into this at all. Nor will the rotund Eli James. Egyptian Snow Pharaoh is more than capable of dispatching them both, just as Sebastian Duke and Mystica will be nothing more than child's play to me.

The match, Alph, is not what is important this evening. There are grander plans at work. The galaxy rests at my fingertips. Tonight, I will show that to the world."
