Alexandra had driven all night, pulling up in front of her aunt’s home. Slipping off her motorcycle, Ally took a deep breath knowing that what she might find behind that door would be a scene she hoped wouldn’t come for a long time. Slowly she walked the stone pathway, she remembered hopping between them as a child, pretending she was on a moon walk. She looked above the house where the moon was bright above her. She thought of him. Wishing he was standing next to her, but at this moment, he had bigger things to worry about, something shot across the sky, a shooting star maybe. In the time that her eyes were on the sky, her aunt came out the door.

“Hello Moonchild, your eyes forever on the sky. Why do I sense you’ve cried?”

Her aunt spoke softly, looking at her.

“In all of the world, I’ve never found anyone like him.”

“Found who my sweet child?”

“Aunt, I’ve found someone who cares for me. Someone who, is like me…but not like me. Someone from above.”

“And does this person know of your feelings?”

“I think he does. He’s told me he’s falling for me. And I can’t hide the expression of how I feel when I am around him. I’m falling for him too.” Alexandra chuckled lightly. “The man from the stars and the girl who thrives in moonlight.”

“From the stars?” Her aunt had a look on her face like she knew something, as she looked to the stars above.

“My little Princess…”

Her uncle stood in the doorway. Alexandra brought her head up, looking at the man who helped to raise her. She fought back the tears that stung at her eyes, she had promised him not to cry in front of him. Not to weep for the fate he had been given to him. He was one of the strongest men Alexandra had ever met, and she would show she was strong, his little “Rebel”.

“Uncle Bill.”

Alexandra ran over and wrapped her arms around him gently and placed his arms around her, one on her head, the other on her back, holding her close. The only person she had hugged since she hugged Satty. She choked back a sob. The man that had protected her all those years, was dying right in front of her eyes. It made her want to fight harder.

“How are you feeling moonchild? I hear you have a big tag team match coming up.”

“Yes, for a shot at the tag team champions.”

“If my little Rebel is strong, and keeps her head about her. She can do anything. I believe in you more than anyone. I know what you are capable of, I’ve seen the great things you have done in your life, and I’ve been there to witness them.”

“And you will continue to witness them Uncle. Death Merchant and Matt Ward are going to suffer. They are going to bleed, and it will all be for you. I’m going to fight, and show everyone that I am worth of being a champion.”

“I know you will. You have a fighters spirit, you always have. The Prophet is old my child, and soon his body will fade. I will go to join the stars, as all our souls do when we leave this plane.”

“As I told Aunt Kat earlier today, I am paying for your treatment, and I will not take no for an answer.”

“No promises Princess. I can only fight. As I know you will do.”

Alexandra nods her head as they sit down at the table outside. The moon shining down on them, cast them all in an eerie glow. A glow that was all too comfortable to Alexandra. It gave her the same feeling as when she standing next to Satty. She was pulled to him like he was the moon, he gave her a renewed strength, and she felt like the moon had fallen down on her, when she found out his darkest secret.

“Aunt Kat.”

“Yes my child.”

“Remember the man I spoke of earlier.”

“Yes my dear.”

“Do you think I’m crazy for wanting to wait for him to solve the issues in his path that he has to face before he can be with me?”

“If fate put you in each other’s path, you must follow it where it takes you. If this path is to lead you to him, then it is worth risking everything.”

“My heart tells me it has.”

Alexandra looks up at the sky she wondered where he was this moment. Probably safe, well it was Satty, he was always safe. He knew how to take care of himself. She slipped from the table, hugging them both.

“I need to take a walk.”

Her hug with her uncle lingered longer. Like she wished she could pour her life force into him and save him. She slipped out of his hug and watched them walk inside. She noticed how strong her uncle was, he hadn’t given up and neither would she. She pulled out her cellphone and called Christine, leaving her a voicemail.

“Hey Christine, its Ally. I will see you at the arena on Wednesday. I have a few things I need to handle up on. I hope you are doing okay. You know where my spare key is.. feel free to use my house for anything. Be safe my friend.”

Alexandra hung up the phone and placed it inside the saddle bag on her motorcycle, locking it up. She placed the keys to her motorcycle on the table next to her aunt and uncles front door. She knew if anything happened. They’d find the keys and take care of her bike. She walked out into the woods behind their house, finding the calmness that the night brought her.

“Can I still find you? Will the portal still work? Or am I totally lost to you for now?”

Alexandra walked up to the white tree in the middle of the woods. Her Uncle used to bring her here. This tree was always special to them. It was important to her uncle. Even in his will, he wants to be buried next to it. She wondered, with the time her Uncle had spent working for N.A.S.A. if something had occurred to him, or if that’s why he built his home here. There was a knot on the tree and Alexandra tilted her head to the side before looking over her shoulder back towards the house. She noticed her aunt and uncle, sitting near the window. Her aunt looks out it at her, like she knows something is up, and motions to her uncle. Alexandra turns around and walks over placing her hand on the knot of the tree. She expected it to open like the one in Japan did. It doesn’t and she starts to get frustrated. She pushes on the tree. She backs up a step, taking a few calming breaths and tries again. It still doesn’t open for her. She looks at the tree angry. She kicks at it and punches it a few times. Her aunt hears a primal scream rip from Alexandra’s chest, as she slips down to knees, crumbling forwards, her forehead resting on the ground as she trembles. She laid there for a few minutes her mind running over everything they had said to one another. Time would see them together again. He might have closed the portal for her safety. But what was there to worry about.. She was just some mortal.. A normal woman, who just happened to have a dark past and secrets of her own. She knew he wasn’t abandoning her, no matter what, he was as much a part of her, as she was him. Alexandra turned over, laying on her back, looking up at the night sky.
