Liz Weinberg: Hello all and welcome to this special edition of Savage as we present night two of the Ides of March first round match-ups! It's been a long time coming for us to come back, and I'm joined by Pip Collins here at commentary!

Pip Collins: Yeah, damn right it's been too long, Liz! Unfortunately, it's too bad that for the first match of Savage coming back, we got stuck with the biggest foregone conclusion on the whole card.

Liz Weinberg: You’re referring to our next contest?

Pip Collins: Of course I am! All the odds makers agree the smart money is on Solomon Kline.

Liz Weinberg: While that may be true, he still faces a rough and tumble opponent in head of XWF security Tommy Gunn.

Pip Collins: How did you say that with a straight face? Oh look, Tommy is already in the ring. This bodes well.

Tommy Gunn is indeed already in the ring.

“Forgotten" by The Plot In You plays throughout the arena. The lights go out. Once the beat drops, a spotlight shines on the entryway, where SOLOMON KLINE appears inside the light, clad in a black hoodie over his ring gear and kneeling on his right knee. As the lyrics come in, he stands, removes his hood and surveys the crowd as sparks rain down around him. He grooves his way toward the ring, and high fives fans along the way. He circles the ring and slides under the bottom rope. He continues rocking out to the song and at the 1:50 mark, he goes to the turnbuckle with a primal scream as the lyrics say "I have spent my life chasing things that have only brought me pain. In the end when I'm dead, hope it was for something!"

He returns to the ring and readies himself for the match.

Ides of March Tournament - First Round
Solomon Kline
- vs -
Tommy Gunn

The bell rings and the action gets underway! Tommy immediately goes for a lockup on Solomon, but Solomon hits the standing switch to get behind Tommy, he goes to muscle Tommy up and over into a suplex, but Tommy blocks and nails Kline with a back elbow.

Liz Weinberg: Tommy showing some fight in him yet.

Pip Collins: So what? Solomon Kline, though he hasn’t exactly shown it yet, has the XWF literally running through his bloodline.

Tommy shoots Solomon into the corner and Tommy gears up for a running shoulder charge, but Solomon gets out of the way just in time and Tommy rams his shoulder into the steel ring post! Wasting no time, Kline drags Tommy out and dumps him back into a German suplex bridged into a pin!

1….

2…..NO! Gunn kicks out!

Solomon looks at the ref but accepts the call immediately. Instead, he grabs Gunn by his head and hefts him up, booting him in the stomach before setting him up for a powerbomb. But Gunn back body drops him as a counter!

Pip Collins: If you could call a counter move a basic bitch…

Solomon recovers quickly though, getting to his feet using the ropes. Tommy lunges for Solomon but Solomon surprised him with a punch, followed by a clubbing blow to the back, chained into a knee lift into Gunn’s face! From there, Solomon wraps Gunn up for a chokeslam and drills him into the canvas! He pins!

1….

2….

3…NO! Gunn rolls the shoulder up!

Liz Weinberg: Well at least Gunn isn’t making this a squash, you gotta give him that!

Kline keeps the heat on Gunn again, choking him and pulling him vertical by the throat so he can deliver yet another vicious chokeslam! But this time Solomon doesn’t go for the cover.

Pip Collin: Oh come on, Kline, this is a mistake! Just finish him!

Instead, Kline lifts Gunn up and tosses him into the corner. Kline follows him there and lifts him up onto the top turnbuckle. Kline follows him up and powers him up into a vertical suplex off the top turnbuckle. Both men plummet to the mat. SUPERPLEX! The fans pop for the big man’s risky move! And this time, with Gunn and Kline both on the mat, Kline throws an arm over Gunn to cover him.

1….

2…..

3…..NO! WHAT?!

This time Kline looks shocked, but the ref confirms that Tommy Gunn barely kicked out!

Pip Collin: Tommy must have some kind of freakin’ fetish here! Is a masochist?!

Liz Weinberg: Or he’s just one tough SOB, taking what Kline is dishing.

Pip Collins: Yeah, okay, but Gunn has got to get in some offense here if he wants to win.

Kline gets to his feet, talking with the ref about that last call. Meanwhile Gunn rolls away, clearly in a lot of pain. He pulls himself up in the corner and once he has Solomon’s attention he flashes him the bird! Seeing this, Solomon bristles with anger and lunges for Tommy, but Tommy drop toe holds Solomon and Solomon’s face bounces off the middle turnbuckle! With that, Gunn grabs Kline’s foot and drags him to center ring. Gunn then drops down on top of Kline and seems to be going for an STF, but Kline has it sorted and powers out of the move!

Both Kline and Gunn get vertical. Gunn goes for a hard right to Kline and clocks him, then Solomon follows suit with a fist that shakes Gunn and sends him stumbling back into the ropes. When Gunn bounces off the ropes he finds himself in Kline’s clutches! Kline levels Tommy with a big time Blue Thunder Bomb!

Pip Collins: This has got to be it!

But Kline still doesn’t go for the cover. No, instead he picks Tommy up again and…DUST TO DUST! He hits the Dust to Dust vertebreaker on Tommy Gunn! Kline goes for the cover!

1….

2….

3!!! Tommy stays down!

“Forgotten” hits the loud speakers as Solomon Kline leaps to his feet, running to the turnbuckle to celebrate!

WINNER and Advancing in the Ides of March Tournament: SOLOMON KLINE!

Liz Weinberg: And young Solomon Kline has just punched his ticket to the second round!

Pip Collins: So what?! It’s going to get a lot harder than Tommy Gunn going forward and Kline better be ready for that!

PC: Okay folks, welcome back to SAVAGE! Up next we have one of the most highly anticipated contests in the Ides of March tournament.

LW: Yelena Gorgo and Aurora. It’s always a treat for me to watch two of our industries top competitors, and an even bigger treat when it’s two women.

PC: Make no mistake about it, Gorgo and Aurora are just that. And in a federation absolutely FLUSH with incredibly talented women wrestlers. Gorgo, you’ll remember made a huge splash on the last Warfare, pinning Nickles for the XTreme Championship and going on to defend it in the main event.

LW: And what else can be said about Aurora? A former tag team champion? Who’s put down the likes of the legendary Larry Tact in recent weeks.

What we’re in store for is contest by two of the very best in the game today!

All lights in the arena go dark and James Hetfield's opening vocals of Metallica's "The Memory Remains" blares suddenly over the public announce speakers. A minimal yet vocal minority of the fans in attendance shout the first lyrics aloud along with the singer:

Fortune, Fame, Mirror, Vain
Gone Insane
But the Memory Remains

The lights and the big screen both stay completely black. A single word appears on the screen:

. : A U R O R A : .

The guitar and drums come crashing in, along with the rest of the instrumental section. Soon after a mako green spotlight shines down upon the stage where Aurora herself is now standing. She’s wearing a mask that covers her face in what looks like old, pitted cast iron. Her hands and wrists are taped in all black tape and her silver-colored hair is pulled back into a ponytail. A smoke machine billows from beneath her, partially obscuring the view.

Rochelle Adams: Making her way to the ring at this time, she hails from Arizona Bay. Ladies and Gentlemen, AURORA!

Aurora walks through the smoke and down to and around the ring with purpose, moving all of the way around to the southeast ring post before pulling herself up onto the ring apron. She centers herself on the apron and stands facing the crowd. Another glowing emerald spotlight shines straight down on her as laser-lights mimic the northern lights onto the smoke that has gathered around the ceiling of the arena. She pauses for a few moments staring upward before turning and entering the ring.

B L A C K.

A distorted march and shrill, ear-splitting violins attack the mass of attendants with visceral intent, triggering a contentious wave of hateful screams and wails. The music builds, and builds, until GORGO's voice ECHOES throughout the arena…

…NOW WE BECOME DEATH…
…THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS…
♫ GO BACK TO SLEEP! ♫

CUT TO: THE STAGE.

A Perfect Circle's COUNTING BODIES LIKE SHEEP violently assaults the listeners with its droning march as SMOKE AND RUIN crawls across the platform in strobing white light. A single spotlight shines down to center stage as Maynard begins singing the first verse.

♫ Don't fret precious, I'm here ♫
♫ Step away from the window
♫ And go… BACK TO SLEEP ♫
From below, GORGO slowly rises out of the stage surrounded in dark haze and flashing light. Blonde hair is smeared black with grease and hangs in wet tangles. Face painted black and white and marked with pagan symbology. White eyes outlined in black. Their smile, their awful smile, stretched into a hideous, crazed grin. Muscular shoulders and arms, but with feminine curves in all the right places, covered in black smeared grease paint. Their perfect, terrifying form elevates to the stage level with their shoulders heaving and body twisted into a grotesque, animalistic hunch.

They are YELENA GORGO. The Woman Who Laughs. The Mama-san. The Mad Queen.

♫ COUNT BODIES LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ LIKE SHEEP ♫
♫ COUNTING BODIES LIKE SHEEP TO THE RHYTHM OF WAR DRUMS ♫

They begin walking down the aisle but with a strange gate, more like a prowling animal, all while twisted giggles escape their mouth like a jackal's cry, causing their shoulders to hunch up and down with each hee-haw. Everyone watches their every movement. Shrieks and boos spew out of the mouths of everyone in attendance. All of them have nothing but utter contempt and disgust for Gorgo but every single one of them is standing to get a glimpse of them.

Gorgo crawls on their belly under the bottom rope and then pulls themself across the canvas to the middle of the ring. They sit up on their knees and then bend at the waist awkwardly backward, like a contortionist possessed by the devil. Then, suddenly, they lurch forward and let out a primal, howling, death metal scream with every muscle contracted and veins bulging outward through their skin as the house lights rise.

Ides of March Tournament - First Round
Aurora
- vs -
Yelena Gorgo

The bell rings and we’re underway!

Gorgo and Aurora waste little time closing the ground between them. The former tag champ is striking fast with kicks at Gorgo’s shins. Gorgo eats the kicks with a grimace and lunges forward with a grapple, but Aurora is nimble. She moves to Gorgo’s side and with a stomping downward kick, buckles Gorgo’s knee from the side.

Aurora hits the ropes while Gorgo is partially down!

AND PLANTS HER HEAD FIRST WITH A SPIKE DDT!

Aurora goes to undo her arm from Gorgo’s head and stand- but Gorgo holds onto Aurora?!

AND CLIMBS TO HER FEET LIFTING AURORA WITH HER?

SPINEBUSTER!

PC: Aurora has burst through the gates, she has no intention in letting Gorgo set the pace to this match.

LW: Aurora thrives at a frenetic pace, but Gorgo so far is eating those attacks! That’s the thing about Gorgo, pain isn’t a warning, it’s an invitation!

Gorgo is looking to mount for a ground and pound, but Aurora is already pulling herself up from her back. Gorgo grabs a handful of hair and yanks, Aurora is elusive, but Gorgo still pulls her in for a swinging scoop powerslam!

BUT AURORA!

She maneuvers out, dropping behind Gorgo. She immediately darts for the ropes again. A leaping forearm! But Gorgo dead dropped to the mat! Aurora hops over Gorgo and runs to the next set of ropes. Aurora rebounds and Gorgo is partially up, going for an armdrag but instead catches a baseball slide kick to the chest.

Now Aurora mounts Gorgo, and strikes with a forearm! And another- BUT IT’S GRABBED BY GORGO! She flips Aurora and now has her turn to mount and pummel. Striking Aurora multiple times in her partially blocked face. Still doing damage. Gorgo pulls Aurora up and - SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX OUT OF NOWHERE!

PC: TREMENDOUS MANEUVER BY GORGO! SHE MIGHT BE SEIZING THE MOMENTUM HERE!

LW: Momentum?! She’s about to seize the match!

Gorgo has bridged Aurora into a pin!

1!

LW: It’s ove–!

2!!
LW: –OOOOOHH! A QUICK KICK OUT AT TWO BY AURORA!

Gorgo’s eyes pop, she snaps up to her feet well before Aurora. She grapples for her again, clubbing Aurora and twisting one arm into a wrench. Gorgo leads her in the armlock to the turnbuckle where she climbs up on her rear, standing on the ropes now and AURORA THROWS HERSELF INTO THE ROPES!

Gorgo takes an awful spill on the ropes, and is now suspended there, her eyes closed tight in agony. No time to rest though–

CRITICAL TRIGGER!

Aurora flies in from the ropes with a devastating shotgun dropkick, blasting Gorgo off the ropes and to the floor! Aurora kip ups to her feet

PC: That momentum Gorgo had has clearly shifted!

LW: Aurora is not going to stop fighting! That’s one thing Gorgo can count on in this match.

Aurora hits the ropes again, running back toward the side with the downed Gorgo… SHE VAULTS OVER THE TOP ROPE!

METEORA TO THE CHEST OF THE DOWNED GORGO!

The crowd is going wild!

Aurora gets Gorgo back up and rolls her into the ring after a moment or two of struggling.

SHE COVERS!

1!

2!!

GORGO POWERS OUT BEFORE THREE!!!

JW: Unbelievable resiliency on display already between these two!

PC: These two are not going to bend the knee to each other. Aurora is fighting for pride and respect! She called Gorgo a petulant child, who tries to command with fear and intimidation. Aurora’s here to hunt this monster- but Gorgo is here to leave her mark! Destruction! She’s here to leave scars on who she called a false hero!
JW: These two are diametrically opposed… ideologically, physically, their wrestling styles. And yet it’s their differences in strength that make up for the others weaknesses. These two are very, VERY evenly matched!

Gorgo is already bowed over on all fours, powering up as Aurora stands and throws a stiff knee strike. Gorgo blocks it with her hands, powers to her feet and KICK DEMON - - IS BARELY AVOIDED!

Aurora stumbles backward, just narrowly avoiding the massive judo roundhouse. Gorgo lands on her feet, she flinches at Aurora. Aurora stumbles back into the ropes and puts up her guard. She drops her defense quickly and rushes INTO KICK DEMON!

This time the roundhouse out of nowhere connects beautifully!

The crowd gasps and oooooos!

PC: BUT FOR ALL THAT IT COULD BE OVER NOW! GORGO IS GOING FOR THE PIN ON THE FALLING AURORA AFTER THAT DEVASTATING KICK!

JW: THAT’LL LEAVE A SCAR FOR SURE!

She goes for the pin!

But aurora is falling backwards, and through the ropes onto the apron while Gorgo tries but fails to catch her.

Aurora thuds on the floor and the ref begins to count as Gorgo catches her breath, frustrated.

1!

2!!

Aurora isn’t moving, she’s face first on the floor.

Gorgo stands defiantly, and pushes the ref out of the way on her way to the apron. She leaps down to the floor and wrenches Aurora up by the head, raking the former tag champs eyes. She pulls Aurora into a bear hug and runs her spine first into the apron! Aurora howls, and Gorgo doesn’t let go! She runs her spine first into the turnbuckle post now before discarding her.

The ref has resumed his count and we’re up to a

3!!!

Gorgo deliberately marches to spot on the floor, and tears up the unforgiving “padding” to expose the concrete underneath.

4!!!!

She walks back over to Aurora, lifting her, and leading her to the exposed floor. Aurora is fighting back! Knee shots being fired to Gorgo’s midsection as she tries to put her in position for a suplex on the floor! More knee strikes fly but are– SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX ON THE CONCRETE!

5!!!!!

PC: Aurora has taken so much punishment in this and- DAMNIT! GORGO IS GOING FOR IT AGAIN!

She’s lifted Aurora up into ANOTHER SNAP DRAGON SUPL–EVENT HORIZON!!!!!

THE SPINNING BACK KICK CAME FROM NOWHERE!

Gorgo doubles over holding her midsection gasping for air.

6!!!!!

Aurora falls back trying to recover from the punishment.

7!!!!!!!

LW: A desperation move there for Aurora, but it landed beautifully!

PC: Yes and now both these women are in desperation mode, trying to recover outside as the ref nears a ten count!

8!!!!!!!!

Gorgo falls over toward the ring, still clutching her stomach, sucking wind and reaching an arm out toward the apron.

9!!!!!!!!!

Aurora cranks her neck back, bringing her double vision into focus, pulling herself up from her rear

1—

THEY BOTH DART UNDER THE BOTTOM ROPE AT THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND!

The two rise to their feet gingerly on the mat, but Gorgo immediately flies in with a series of judo strikes. Aurora is fending them off with precision though! And with a slight opening, she parries with a pumpkick! It staggers Gorgo, and immediately Aurora is hitting the ropes! ENTROPY BLADE!

The V-Trigger knee strike lands!

Gorgo falls back into the corner!

ANOTHER RUNNING ENTROPY BALADE IN THE CORNER THIS TIME!

GORGO IS OUT ON HER FEET

Aurora snarls gets a head of steam, running back to the opposite corner… She changes Gorgo again!

ENTROPY BLADE!!!

IS THWARTED BY AN UNCONSCIOUS POPUP CATCH FROM GORGO!

SHE HAS AURORA UP IN THE AIR!

STARBURST SONATA!

Aurora comes down with the Curb stomp!
THE CROWD IS GOING WILD!!!

She covers!

1!
2!!
3!!!
4!!??!!

The ref is waving her off as the crowd continues to count!

Gorgos’ feet are under the ropes! Her legs positioned in a way splitting the turnbuckle. Aurora slaps the mat, and grimaces up to her feet, scowling at the downed Gorgo. She exits the ring, grabbing Gorgo’s leg from the outside pulling her nearer to the turnbuckle. She splits the leg back and then slings it against the turnbuckle post! The pain jolts Gorgo out of her unconscious state.

Aurora wraps the knee into the turnbuckles again! But Gorgo muscles her leg away from Aurora’s compromised grip. The two meet it each other at the ropes now as Aurora climbs back on the apron, Gorgo limping her way forward. A judo punch flies at Aurora’s head, she dodges and throws a knee through the ropes, but it misses! Grogo powers at Aurora and snags her up, lifting her over the top rope and suplexing Aurora back into the ring.

They’re both down, head to head, exhausted!

The ref starts to count…

1!

BUT GORGO KEEPS HER ARMS WRAPPED AROUND AURORA!

SHE ROLLS THE TWO OF THEM ON THEIR BELLIES AND HITS A SECOND CONSECUTIVE SUPLEX!

AND THEN A THIRD!!!

The exhausted Gorgo falls on Aurora for the pin!

1!

2!!

BARELY!!!

Aurora kicks out!

PC: We are nearly twenty minutes into this titanic clash, and still neither will surrender!

JW: They’re worn down! Each delivering devastating onslaughts of offense! And each taking the best one another has to offer!

The roars from the crowd are deafening,

Again, each is slow to their feet, and now each staggering toward a separate set of ropes.

They stagger toward one another

Gorgo rears back–

EVENT HORIZON!!!!!

The spinning back kick from Aurora lands out of nowhere to Gorgo’s midsection! Gorgo’s eyes bulge from her eyes, she sucks wind and HITS A KICK DEMON BEFORE FALLING TO HER KNEES!!!

Aurora is absolutely ROCKED! She’s spun around in a 360 and HITS AN UNCONSCIOUS STARBURST SONATA!!!!

UN-FUCKING-BELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!

Aurora collapses next to Gorgo as the ref checks on them both. They’re out cold!

He begins a count!

1!

2!!

It takes seconds, but each start crawling to their feet again, and the ref looks distressed as he nears a ten count!

8!!!!!!!!

9!!!!!!!!!

They both sway up to their feet and raise their dukes! Gorgo swings a lethargic punch at Aurora’s head, but it misses, and they both fall over again!

The ref assesses the situation, and immediately runs over to the ropes and calls for the bell!

PC: WHAT?!

He runs back over to Aurora and Gorgo who have staggered to their wobbly legs again, both unconscious and swinging at air…

He raises Gorgo’s arm!!!

At the same time he raises Aurora’s arm!!!

WINNERS VIA STOPPAGE - Advancing in the Ides of March Tournament -Yelena Gorgo and Aurora!!!

PC: Well this crowd doesn’t like the call, and I’m not sure I do either, Liz!

LW: These two threw everything they had at each other in what has been an absolute classic of a match up! At the rate they were going, we might’ve been here all night, or until one or both of them died!

PC: You heard it in these two’s promos leading up tonight! They were out for destruction.. They were out for the hunt! And in the first round they’ve both fought to a battered stalemate in this first round.

JW: It’s hard to argue that they don’t BOTH belong in the next round! Somewhere you know Solomon Kline must be watching, wondering, what in the hell he could do to stop either of these two in the next round!

The scene fades as medical personnel come to rings side to assist Gorgo and Aurora.

Game Girl and LaToya are already in the ring after commercial break.

https://youtu.be/eUZa1bDY2JI?si=jUiMFZRv-x6YGNEC

The lights in the arena go deep blue as smoke fills the air. Pink and silver laser lights cut through the smoke and it looks fucking rad.

As Out Of Limits blares throughout the arena, slowly walking out onto the entrance ramp is Bobby Bourbon. He looks out at the crowd in the arena, cold and stoic, surveying his surroundings. He stops and raises his fists at 45 degree angles, and continues his deliberate plod towards the ring. He raises both arms outward, accepting fives, slaps, daps, knucks, and touches as he does. He looks on into the ring, feeling the energy of every fan he makes contact with. He stops, and begins stomping in place, with the utmost joy to be in front of the XWF crowd. He stops a camera.

"I'm a bad, bad man, but like my home, the XWF, I have plenty of bad, bad fans!"

Bobby climbs the steps, then climbs the nearest ring post half way and raises his fists at 45 degree angles. The lights go back to normal and the music stops. The fans in attendance all echo their sentiments for the match.

"fuck 'em up, bobby, fuck 'em up." stomp stomp. "fuck 'em up, Bobby, fuck 'em up." stomp stomp. "Fuck 'Em Up Bobby, Fuck 'Em Up!" STOMP STOMP! "FUCK 'EM UP BOBBY, FUCK 'EM UP!!!" STOMP STOMP!

Bobby acknowledges the crowd. They roar. Bobby looks back at his opponent.

Bobby Bourbon

Game Girl

Latoya Hixx

DING! DING!

Bobby rushes both of his opponents bowling them over with a double clothesline and leaps into the air dropping an elbow on Game Girl and simultaneously dropping a big leg across LaToya’s neck!

Bobby kips up with a roar from the crowd and plucks Hixx up throwing her into the corner and deadlifts GG over his head before bringing her down into an insane backbreaker but he keeps the hold and hoists GG up again into a torture rack and spins her out into a gorgeous Samoan Drop!

PC: FLATIRON!

JW: Game Girl has had a good showing as of late but right now Bobby is taking her to school!(

GG falls into a heap on the mat as Bourbon turns his attention to Hixx who rushes him but Bobby counters with-

LW: DINOSAUR EXTINCTOR!!!

The pop-up Spinebuster drives LaToya into the canvas. Bobby grabs Hixx’s ankles and rolle her over onto her feet and lifts her high into the air for a-

LW: JACKNIFE BOBBYBOMB!!!

Game Girl groggily steps to her feet and inputs the Konami Code and selects Moon Gravity as she rushes Bobby and leaps high into the air to kick his head but Bobby simply grabs her leg and whips her around like a wet towel before sending her high, HIGH into the sky!

Bobby looks down at a twitching LaToya and back into the air where GG is spinning like a Beyblade and he does some mental calculations.

Bobby gets to the corner and climbs the turnbuckles and lies in wait as GG falls back to earth.

The crowd chant and roar in anticipation.

As GG gets close to the ring, Bobby flies and catches her!

PC: BOBBYBOMB FROM THE SKY!!!!

He snatched GG out of mid-air and drops her with a powerbomb onto his knees while LaToya watches from the ground!

white]LW: AND A FLYING CIRCUS TO HIXX!![/white]

The improvised Senton crushes LaToya and Bobby effortlessly pins both women.

WINNER: BOBBY BOURBON

Liz Weinberg: Ides of March action rolls on here on Savage! Very interesting matchup here tonight with a very interesting blend of styles - Dickie Watson taking on Tatiana Jolee! Who’s going to win out tonight between two veterans of their craft?

Pip Collins: Dickie’s already in the ring right now, but I’ll tell you what Liz, he looks like he needs to get his head in the game.

Indeed, Dickie stands in the center of the ring, a blank expression on his face as he awaits his opponent to come out tonight. As hushed whispers of excitement for what’s about to come ring out through the audience, a figure suddenly cuts through the fans, drawing boos and ire alike as they hop over the barricade from behind!

Liz Weinberg: Hey, wait a minute! That’s Sarah Wolf! She shouldn't be here on Savage tonight!

Pip Collins: She's an XWF wrestler, Liz! She can go anywhere she wants to in the back!

Liz Weinberg: True, but she had her match last night on Warfare - very hard-fought win over Larry Tact! What is she trying to do?!

The answer is soon revealed as Sarah slides into the ring and spins Dickie about! He sees her for a split second, and that blank expression turns to that of focus, before becoming obscured entirely as Sarah spits the blackened WOLF’S BLOOD designer chemical into his face!

Dickie screams and tries to claw at his face to get the toxin off of him, but to no avail! The ref looks horrified as he yells at Sarah, but Dickie tries to lunge forward to get one good punch off at her! He can’t properly see though, and Sarah manages to back out of the way!

Liz Weinberg: What the Hell was that for?! Sarah Wolf just blindsided Dickie Watson for no good reason! They’re on opposite sides of the bracket, dammit!

Pip Collins: Knowing Sarah? Who can say except for her? Hell, knowing her, she'd probably say it's for shits and giggles!

BUT WAIT! COMING DOWN FROM THE RAMP AS A FAMILIAR TUNE HITS OUR EARS!

IT’S TATIANA JOLEE! She sprints down to the ring full-force, sliding into the ring and aiming a kick at Sarah Wolf as Wolf has to duck and run out from beneath the ropes before making a quick escape over the barricade! The fans rain down boos as Tatiana stares her down long and hard, jabbing a finger in her direction as Dickie is still writhing in pain!

The referee gets onto his knees to check on Dickie, watching as he’s violently gagging and frothing at the mouth, and the wretched smell of the chemical seeps out from his face to travel to the noses of the fans in the first few rows! Dickie and the referee are exchanging some words, and Tatiana walks over towards Dickie, a very concerned look on her face.

The referee nods towards Dickie one more time, nodding to confirm as Dickie nods with him! Finally, the referee turns towards Tatiana, relaying the news as her eyes widen, stunned! She sees Dickie clawing his way to his feet, trying to ready himself!

Liz Weinberg: I don’t believe it! Dickie Watson is trying to go ahead with this match!

Pip Collins: Liz, there’s a fine line between bravery and stupidity, and I think we’re seeing Dickie smash right through that line right about now!

Liz Weinberg: I’m not inclined to disagree, but look at Tatiana! Even she looks uncomfortable with this!

Pip Collins: She shouldn’t be, Liz. She’s getting a victory handed to her on a silver platter!

Ides of March Tournament - First Round
Tatiana Jolee
- vs -
Dickie Watson

DING! DING! DING!

Liz Weinberg: I guess… we’re off to the races, huh…?

Pip Collins: Yeah, if this was a race against a guy in a wheelchair!

Tatiana grits her teeth, watching Dickie barely stagger his way out of his corner, still trying to rub the Wolf’s Blood out of his eyes. It’s occasionally joined by a wretched gargle along with Dickie spitting out more toxic blackness that’s spreading along him.

Tatiana sighs, walking across the ring over towards Dickie. She keeps her voice down low, trying to reason with him to not get himself more hurt than he already is. She nods, thinking her words are settling in-

SMAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

DICKIE WATSON SLAPS TATIANA JOLEE ACROSS THE FACE AND SHOVES HER ACROSS THE RING! Tatiana doesn’t even look at Dickie, letting the impact settle in as the crowd gasps.

“Don’t you FUCKING patronize me!” Dickie shouts at Tatiana, trying to stagger forward again to keep it up.

Pip Collins: Tatiana can’t let her stupid pride get in the way of things here! Just finish the damn man off!

Liz Weinberg: Pip, I think most people in the back would be hesitant in this situation! Dickie Watson can barely even stand right now!

Pip Collins: Well, when you’re out of options…

Tatiana rubs her blistering cheek, before slowly exhaling and nodding. She walks towards Dickie, with far more purpose behind her steps. Dickie tries to go for another haggard punch, but Tatiana sees it coming and slips past! She comes to behind Dickie, and wraps her arm around his neck to flip him behind and start choking him!

Liz Weinberg: CALGARY CRIPPLER! It looks like that slap help encouraged Tatiana to go for the kill!

Pip Collins: Finally!

Dickie tries to fight the hold as long as he can, reaching towards the ropes! But the pain of the submission and the pain of the Wolf’s Blood toxin settles in as he can’t hold it back!

DICKIE TAPS OUT!

WINNER and Advancing in the Ides of March Tournament: TATIANA JOLEE!

Tatiana rises to her feet immediately, relinquishing the hold and letting the ref raise her hand as a solemn expression is all over her face.

Liz Weinberg: You can tell how much Dickie wanted to make the most of this match, but he had that chance unfairly ripped away from him by Sarah Wolf!

Pip Collins: If Dickie wanted it that badly, he shouldn’t have made himself into a sitting duck!

Liz Weinberg: Whatever reasoning you want to apply to what happened here, I think both Tatiana and Dickie are about to have a VERY big bone to pick with Sarah Wolf when this show is done.

Tatiana heads to the back as XWF official medics quickly hit the ring to help Dickie Watson, and Savage rolls on…

A dense fog rolls out along the entrance ramp, the haunting whispered chant growing in volume along with the pulsing tempo of the music. A hulking horned beast appears from the gloom, slowly and methodically stalking towards the ring. His leather doomsday cloak is open over his massive chest, each step bringing him further into the light until "The Monster Machine" is revealed in full. The dark and Gothic chanting of “Night of the Wolf” by Nox Arcana continues, music swelling in volume as each pulse in the tempo and each measured step of the monster are in sync.

"Rota, vita, mara, vena
Mare, dracul, morte, vita
Rota, vita, mara, vena
Mare, dracul, morte, vita"

“Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is set for one fall and it i - the first round of the Ides of March tournament, the MAAAAIN EVENT - and for the Television Championship!
Announcing first. The Challenger from The Abyss…
THE MONSTER MACHINE, ENIIIIIGMMAAAA”

ENIGMA ascends the ring steps and subtly wipes his feet on the apron, turning towards the crowd as he removes the horned skull mask, revealing his soot-streaked face and colourless eyes. Throwing his head back, he sprays a bloody mist into the air before letting out a snarl. When his head lowers, blood drips from his chin and down his heaving chest.

As the opening guitar riff of "Since I’m A Bastard" blasts through the speakers, Charlie Nickles strides out from the back, the Television Championship belt draped proudly across his shoulder. The crowd bursts into a mixed reaction, some clear boos for the murderous champion.

“And his opponent, he is the reigning, the defending, Television Champion and the bastard of bastards!
He is. CHAAAARRRLLIEEEE NIIIIICKLEEEES”

As Charlie slides into the ring his eyes lock onto Isaiah King at the commentary table, a sly grin forming on his face as he acknowledges him with a nod, the tension palpable. He doesn’t spare a glance at Enigma, his focus entirely on Isaiah as he makes his way down the ramp, waving off the crowd’s mixed reactions. The champion is clearly in control, yet there's something unsettling about the undercurrent between him and Isaiah. He hands his belt to the referee, before cracking his neck and shaking out his muscles.

Enigma

The bell rings and the atmosphere is electric. Enigma, with his towering frame, stands like a predator staring down its prey, a look of quiet menace on his face. Charlie Nickles, ever the scrapper, stands ready, his body coiled and prepared to take on the monster in front of him. The crowd is torn between their admiration for Enigma’s intimidating presence and their support for Charlie’s resilience. The referee signals for the match to begin.

Liz: Here we go! The Television Championship on the line as the massive Enigma takes on the defending champion, Charlie Nickles!

Pip Collins: A-and we have p-p-privilege of having The Universal Champion, Isaiah King with us today! I can barely believe Charlie’s even still standing up after everything Bacchus put him through yesterday, w-what do you think champ?

Isaiah: Thanks Pip, glad you see the weight of me being here. Gotta keep an eye on my competition… And Charlie’s been particularly worth looking at. Enigma’s got all the power in the world, but Charlie’s a survivor. It’s gonna be interesting to see who proves themselves worthy today..

Immediately as the bell goes off - Enigma charges forward, his massive form a juggernaut of raw muscle and power. He reaches for Charlie, aiming to grab him by the throat, but Charlie sidesteps, narrowly avoiding the grasp of the monstrous challenger. As the Monster turns, Charlie leaps into action, delivering a series of quick, stiff strikes to Enigma’s ribs, hoping to weaken the giant man. He connects with a hard forearm to the side of Enigma’s head, followed by a European uppercut that staggers the larger man. Charlie moves quickly, using his agility to dodge another powerful strike from Enigma, ducking under a wild haymaker. He launches himself off the ropes and comes back with a running knee to Enigma’s midsection, sending a shockwave of impact through the challenger’s body. Charlie lands a series of vicious elbows to Enigma’s back, driving him into the ropes. The crowd starts to chant Charlie’s name as he takes control of the match early on.

Liz: Look at Charlie go! He’s not backing down from the giant—using speed and precision to his advantage.

Pip Collins: Charlie’s gotta be feeling the weight of those hits, but he’s using his agility to wear Enigma down! That knee to the gut was a perfect move!

Isaiah: Enigma’s not accustomed to being outsmarted this early. But Charlie’s got the instincts of a street fighter; he’s not here to make friends, he’s here to win.
Charlie steps back and prepares for a big move. As Enigma stumbles forward, Charlie hoists him up for a Samoan Drop. The crowd holds its breath as Charlie struggles to lift the towering monster, but he finally slams Enigma to the mat with a heavy thud. Charlie grabs his back, the strain showing on his face, but the momentum is on his side now. He quickly hooks the leg for a pin.

Enigma kicks out with authority, sending Charlie flying across the ring. Charlie hits the ropes, but as he returns, Enigma is already on his feet, charging forward with terrifying speed. Enigma plows into Charlie with a shoulder tackle and a roar to match - that nearly sends him through the turnbuckle. Charlie crumples to the mat, clutching his ribs, gasping for air.

Liz: What a shoulder tackle! Enigma just flattened Charlie like a freight train!

Pip Collins: Charlie was feeling that one - he’s clearly still reeling from yesterday. He’s gotta find a way back out if he wants to keep his belt!

Isaiah: This is the problem with facing someone like Enigma—once he takes control, he’s a force of nature. Nickle’s gonna have to dig deep to get back into this.
Enigma stands over him, a wicked grin spreading across his face. He reaches down to grab Charlie by the throat once again, but Charlie fights back, using his fists to hammer at Enigma’s arm. With a desperate burst of strength, Charlie manages to free himself from Enigma’s grasp and sends the challenger reeling with a kick to the midsection. Charlie follows up with a quick series of rapid-fire strikes—one punch, then another, keeping Enigma on the defensive. He finally lands a vicious knee to the face, snapping Enigma’s head back. The crowd cheers, impressed by Charlie’s ability to keep up the pace against someone so physically overwhelming. Charlie smirks at the crowd, relishing in the fight. He moves in to capitalize, going for a whip to the corner, but Enigma digs in his heels and reverses the momentum, sending Charlie crashing into the corner instead.

Liz: The reversal! Enigma just tossed Charlie into that corner like a ragdoll! This could be bad for the champion!

Pip Collins: Enigma is a beast tonight! Charlie’s really getting thrown around—he’s gotta stay on his toes!

Isaiah: This is where Charlie has to be careful. Everytime he seems to pick up some momentum, Enigma comes rushing back with brute force.
Charlie stumbles out of the corner, and Enigma sees his opportunity. He charges, lifting his knee high and smashing it into Charlie’s face with a brutal knee strike. Charlie’s head snaps back, and he crumples to the mat in a heap. Enigma, unfazed, takes a moment to taunt the crowd before going for a quick cover.

One!!!!

Two!!!!

Charlie kicks out with barely a second to spare, gasping for air, but it’s clear that Enigma’s raw power is starting to wear him down. The bigger man doesn’t waste time, quickly lifting Charlie to his feet and pushing him into the corner once again. Enigma unleashes a series of knife-edge chops, each one echoing through the arena. The crowd winces with each blow, and Charlie’s chest is turning bright red from the intensity.

Liz: Enigma’s relentless! Those chops are like being hit with a baseball bat!

Pip Collins: Charlie’s chest is gonna need some ice after this match! Enigma’s been on a rampage in this corner!

Isaiah: Charlie’s taking a lot of damage here, but I wouldn’t count him out just yet. He’s tough, and he’s survived worse.

Charlie stumbles out of the corner, and Enigma attempts a brutal running lariat. But Charlie, with quick reflexes, ducks under the wild swing and grabs Enigma by the waist, attempting a German suplex. He struggles with the weight of Enigma, but manages to bridge the move, planting the big man on his shoulders before slamming him down to the mat. The crowd erupts as Charlie rolls to his feet, shaking off the fatigue.

Liz: What a suplex! Charlie somehow turned the tables there!

Pip Collins: He just suplexed that monster—Charlie might be running on fumes, but he’s finding ways to make it work!

Isaiah: Enigma’s a big boy, but if Charlie keeps outsmarting him like that, he might just win this one.

Charlie, breathing heavily, tries to capitalize on the opening. He pulls Enigma to his feet, struggling slightly as he positions the giant for another big move. Charlie hits a running powerbomb, slamming Enigma down hard onto the mat. The ring shakes with the impact, and Charlie immediately goes for the cover.

One!!!!

Two!!!!

Enigma kicks out, but the near-fall makes Charlie’s eyes widen with surprise. He shakes his head, realizing how close he was to securing the victory. He begins to regroup, circling Enigma like a hunter sizing up its prey. With a determination in his eyes, Charlie goes for a high-impact corner move, climbing the turnbuckles.

Liz: Charlie’s heading up! This could be the game-changer!

Pip Collins: A big high-flying move—Charlie’s gotta hit this one perfectly, or Enigma’s gonna make him regret it!

Isaiah: If Charlie pulls this off, it could be the turning point of the match. But it’s a high-risk move... and Enigma’s the kind of guy who can turn things around on a dime.

Charlie leaps from the top, attempting a diving crossbody. But Enigma, with his quick reflexes, catches Charlie mid-air, using his brute strength to turn it into a powerful bearhug. Charlie struggles, trying to escape, but Enigma squeezes the life out of him, lifting Charlie off the ground.

Liz: No way! Enigma caught him in mid-air! Charlie’s in trouble now!

Pip Collins: That’s gotta be a crushing hold! Enigma’s squeezing the life out of Charlie Nickles!

Isaiah: Charlie’s fighting for his life right now. Enigma’s power is just too much for him to handle in this hold. He’s gotta find a way to escape this... or it’s over.

Enigma’s bearhug continues to crush Charlie, the air slowly being squeezed from his body. The crowd begins to rally behind Charlie, urging him to fight back. Charlie’s face reddens from the pressure, his hands desperately clawing at Enigma’s powerful arms. With one last burst of strength, Charlie shifts his weight and manages to rake his fingers down Enigma’s eyes, causing the big man to stumble backward in pain, temporarily loosening his grip.

Liz: Charlie with the rake to the eyes! That’s a desperation move if I’ve ever seen one, but it bought him some time!

Pip Collins: Not a clean move, but it works! Charlie needed to do something to get out of that bearhug!

Isaiah: You do what you’ve gotta do when you’re facing someone like
Enigma. It might not be pretty, but Charlie’s still in this match, and he’s still thinking.

Charlie stumbles backward, gasping for air, but Enigma quickly recovers. Enigma charges once more, aiming for a clothesline that would surely put Charlie down for the count. However, Charlie, with surprising agility, ducks under the massive arm of Enigma, then bounces off the ropes. On the return, Charlie launches himself into a flying forearm smash that catches Enigma off-guard. Enigma stumbles but doesn’t fall. Charlie sees his chance and quickly climbs to the top rope, a familiar glint of determination in his eyes.

Liz: Charlie’s going up! He’s not backing down from this challenge, even after all the punishment he’s taken!

Pip Collins: This is it! Charlie’s going for the high-risk maneuver—he’s gotta hit it if he wants to stay in control of this match!

Isaiah: If Charlie lands this, it’ll be a game-changer. Enigma’s already taking a lot of hits, but he’s tough. This could be the opening Charlie needs.

Charlie leaps into the air, aiming for a missile dropkick. But Enigma, with his uncanny reflexes, catches Charlie mid-air once again, this time turning it into a devastating power slam! The crowd gasps as the force of the slam rattles the ring. Charlie is left gasping for breath, his body completely spent after the brutal impact. Enigma stands over him, sneering as he takes a moment to bask in his superiority. The challenger stalks Charlie, waiting for him to rise to his feet.

Enigma positions himself for the kill. He lifts Charlie up effortlessly, holding him high above his head in a display of raw power. With a cruel smile, Enigma swings Charlie’s body into the air - HELL BOUND.

Liz: Enigma just planted Charlie into the mat with a PUMP HANDLE SLAM This might be it for the champion!

Charlie goes crashing in the mat! Charlie lies motionless on the mat, and Enigma drops down for the pin, confident that the championship is nearly his.

Pip Collins: Charlie’s taken so much punishment, I’m not sure how he’s still moving! He’s gotta dig deep, and quick if he wants to keep that title!

Isaiah: Enigma’s not just trying to beat you, he’s trying to destroy you. Damn Charlie.

One!!!!

Two!!!!

Charlie kicks out at the last possible second, barely managing to get his shoulder up off the mat. The crowd erupts in surprise, rallying behind the champion, urging him to keep fighting. Enigma looks frustrated but doesn’t let up. He pulls Charlie to his feet once more, this time positioning him for a devastating powerbomb. The challenger lifts Charlie high into the air, but Charlie, with every ounce of strength he has left, starts to fight back, raining down blows to Enigma’s head and shoulders.
Charlie manages to escape, slipping behind Enigma and locking in a waistlock. He struggles for a moment, but with a sudden burst of speed, Charlie hits a German suplex, planting Enigma’s shoulders into the mat! The crowd is on their feet, roaring with approval.

Liz: What a reversal! Charlie hit the German suplex out of nowhere! Enigma’s in trouble!

Pip Collins: I don’t believe it! He got him! He actually got him!

Isaiah: That was smart. That’s the kind of thinking that Charlie needs. But Enigma’s still a monster, and I don’t know if Charlie can keep him down for long.

Charlie, battered but still holding onto his title, struggles to get back to his feet. He locks eyes with the referee, signaling that he’s ready for more. Enigma begins to stir, shaking off the suplex as he slowly rises to his feet. Charlie quickly sets himself up in the corner, eyes narrowing as he prepares for his next move.
As Enigma gets to his feet, Charlie charges forward, looking for a Spear! He lunges with all his force, but at the last moment, Enigma sidesteps, and Charlie crashes headfirst into the turnbuckle. The impact rattles Charlie’s head, and he staggers backward into Enigma’s waiting arms. Enigma locks his arms around Charlie’s waist and lifts him into the air, hitting a brutal overhead belly-to-belly suplex once again, this time driving Charlie’s back into the hard canvas.

Enigma, confident that he’s close to the end, begins to taunt the crowd, flexing his muscles and declaring victory. But Charlie, fighting through the pain, slowly begins to rise once more, refusing to give up. The crowd rallies behind him, chanting his name as the champion fights through the agony to get back to his feet.

Liz: Unbelievable! How is Charlie still going after all of this? The punishment he’s taken... he’s a machine!

Pip Collins: Charlie’s heart is bigger than anyone’s! He’s not just fighting for the title—he’s fighting for his legacy! Mr Two-Belt ain’t gonna give up his ONE BELT.

Isaiah: Okay Pip, pipe down.

Enigma turns back to Charlie, preparing for his next big move. But Charlie surprises him, throwing a desperation punch to Enigma’s midsection. He follows up with another, and then another, catching Enigma off-guard. Enigma stumbles backward, and Charlie, with a burst of adrenaline, hits a running knee to Enigma’s face, knocking the challenger down to one knee.

Charlie quickly moves in, grabbing Enigma’s head and setting him up for his signature move—the Merry-Go-Round (spinning toe hold). The crowd goes wild as Charlie twists and locks in the submission, wrenching Enigma’s leg with all his might. Enigma screams in pain but refuses to tap out. The referee asks if he gives up, but Enigma shakes his head, fighting through the pain.

Liz: Charlie’s got the Single-leg Boston locked in! He’s wrenching the back of the big man!!

Pip Collins: I don’t know how Enigma’s still hanging on, but he’s fighting like a man possessed! Charlie’s not giving him an inch!

Isaiah: Take out the roots, take down the tree. Nice…
Enigma, however, reaches out with his free leg and kicks Charlie off of him with brute strength. The force of the kick sends Charlie sprawling across the mat. Enigma gets back to his feet, his leg clearly injured but his resolve unbroken. He stalks Charlie once more, knowing that it’s time to finish this.

Isaiah King gets off his seat, smelling blood in the air and itching to see the finish! Enigma lifts Charlie by the throat, preparing for the end - his eye catches the Universal Champions’. Isaiah glares him down and the Monster glares back. Eyes flickering from Charlie to Isaiah, to the Television Belt and the Universal Championship.

Shaking his head,  Enigma tries to focus back on Charlie - but the Television Champion’s wiggled out from his massive hands! Kicking and struggling, Charlie’s foot finds its way straight into the big man’s jewels! The Monster Machine releases his grip and stagger backward. The crowd gasps, unsure whether the referee will call for disqualification. But the official hesitates for a moment before waving it off as accidental!

Liz: Low blow! Low blow! But was it intentional, or was it just... desperation?

Pip Collins: I mean, technically, he didn’t mean to, but Enigma’s about to get a taste of his own medicine!

Isaiah: This is where things get ugly. It’s no disqualification... but still, that’s not exactly what I call sportsmanship.

Charlie, seeing an opening, quickly capitalizes. Bounding off the ropes, he drives a stiff missile dropkick to Enigma’s back, sending the big man to his knees. Throwing an arm in the air, and sending Isaiah a wink - he locks both of Enigma’s hands and drives the big man’s head right into the mat with a devastating

Liz: What?! He did it! Charlie Nickles retains the Television Championship!

THREEEE!!!

Pip Collins: DID HE WINK AT YOU?

Isaiah: Uhm.. I’m not sure… I don’t know what that was. But Charlie’s sharp for catching Enigma when he was distracted… and Well - the monster really needs to keep a better eye on his prey, and his testicles.

The crowd cheers as Charlie, exhausted and battered, barely manages to stand tall. He looks down at Enigma, who lies on the mat, defeated but not broken. Charlie gives him a grin, stepping over his body and raising his belt up into the air to the mixed reaction of the crowd. He shoots a finger gun at Isaiah, who watches back with confusion.

Kline: Yelena, Aurora... Let's fucking go. I have had one round of multi-person matches with each of you. I guess we were destined to run it back. May the best win.
