Hotel Deco XV is located on the northwest corner of Harney Street and 15th Street just less than a mile away from the Century Link Center where the XWF’s event Warfare is being held tonight , the same building that one of the hotels very own guests will be competing in what most likely will be the match of the night.


Walking  past the Traditional art deco in the entryway and lobby Chris Macbeth smiles at the lady at the front desk as he approaches to check in.

Front Desk: Hello Sir and welcome to the Hotel Deco XV how may I help you?

CM: Hi there, I just want to check In if that’s ok.


Macbeth notices a sign stating that checking an be done any time after 10:00am. He looks at his watch and sees that it is in fact only 09:38 am.

CM: I'm a little early.

The nice lady on the Front Desk looks at her own watch.


Front Desk:  Yes you are a little, unfortunately I will have to check that your room is ready which may take a few minutes, If you would like you can keep your luggage in our store room and either wait here in the lobby or the Zin Room is open for Breakfast if you prefer.

Macbeth looks over to the right where the nice lady had pointed out the Zin Room, he could smell the cooked breakfast from where he was stood and made his decision.


The Zin room was completely empty. I wonder who their cooking breakfast for, Macbeth thought as he entered and took a seat at a table. Perhaps they knew I was coming he chuckled to himself.



Taking the menu from the center of the table he goes to work on what could be his most important decision of the day... WHATS FOR BREAKFAST.

Browsing through the menu Macbeth notices the waiter approaching.

Waiter: Hello Sir, Welcome to Zin. May I get you a drink, or are you ready to order.

CM: Hi, yes can I get an Ice Water please aaaannndd...

Macbeth looks back down to the menu.

CM: Can I have a Deco Breakfast Sandwich. Thanks.

Waiter: Ok that’s one Ice Water and One Deco Breakfast Sandwich.

Macbeth nods and the waiter turn’s away and the sweet smell of breakfast enters the room as the waiter passes opens the door to the kitchen. Macbeth stomach begins to rumble as he sits back in his chair pulling his phone out of his pocket to read a text message he remembered he received earlier while tipping the cab driver that had bought him from the airport.


Christ Ted is still going on about wrestling I can’t actually believe he quit his job, at least he still seems keen to be involved with the management of the band over the next couple of months. I don’t know what he is going to do after that though. He does know the band is only a temporary return... 

The waiter returns to the table with the Ice Water.

Waiter: Your breakfast will be along in just a minute.

CM: Ok, thank you.

Macbeth takes a sip of his drink and begins to think about his match up tonight, There is no denying that these will be three of the toughest opponents he has ever faced, probably maybe the biggest match for his entire life as well. This one match could be the platform to almost immediate greatness, respect and stardom. 

Yes Macbeth has had stardom success and respect before, but that was in music, that was a different thing. There was a group then, this time he is on his own, and on his own he needs to prove his worth.

His breakfast is placed down on the table in front of him and he licks is lips and begins to tuck in.

Umm Tasty.

Whilst Macbeth eats he runs through his plans for the day and preparations for his match tonight.

Get this breakfast down me then check in, get settled and hit the gym.

Macbeth pulls up the hotels website for some information on the facilities. 

He reads.

Macbeth finishes off his Sandwich and drink and heads over to the waitress behind the bar to pay.


CM: Thanks that was great.

Waitress: No problem, hope you enjoy your stay.




CM: I will do thanks.

Macbeth walks back out into the lobby and over to the receptionist who is already bringing his bags round from the stock room.

Front Desk: Hello Mr Macbeth, we are ready o check you in now.

Macbeth takes his luggage from the lady and wheels it round to the front of the desk where he gets out all the required documents and begins the checking in process.

Once done Macbeth takes the key from the lady.

Macbeth: Thanks, so you say it’s down the end of the corridor and up the elevator to the 6th floor.

Front Desk: Yes that’s correct.

Macbeth turns and walks down to the elevator, he cannot believe the decor in this place. He hadn’t stayed in a hotel like this since the band toured at the highest of their fame.

He pushes the button for the elevator and watches the numbers dropping down.

1 – The doors slide open and a young boy and his father step out and past Macbeth.

Macbeth walks into the lift and turns and looks out as the doors close. He notices the boy pointing into the elevator towards him excitedly.

The elevator doors slide shut as the scene fades.
