This is War - Theo Pryce - 12-26-2013 As the camera fades in we see the interior of Theo Pryce’s office at Pryce Industries. In front of us is Theo’s desk and the back of Theo’s black leather chair.
“War does not determine who is right - only who is left.” “Bertrand Russell” “Ladies and Gentlemen of the XWF, citizens of the World, I am your King. And I want to talk to you all about War.” Theo Pryce spins around in his chair to now face the camera, looking more put together than he has since his match with John Madison. His hair neatly trimmed, the stumble that had become a staple of his recent look as he continued to spiral down the rabbit hole now gone. Instead of a t-shirt and jeans Theo is wearing an Armani Suit over top a white button up shirt and a slick black tie. “On Monday December 16th in ironically the birthplace of this great nation, the first shots were fired in the War for the XWF. While I am a relative new comer to the federation I have been well versed in the company’s illustrious history. From the beginning the greatness that is The Black Circle has been looked upon as the proverbial boot upon the throat of the masses. They are conveniently scapegoated as the reason why this XWF Superstar can’t win a title, or the reason that XWF Superstar lost their match. The Black Circle is in every version of history, seen as, the bad guy. Instead of what they really are, a group of individuals brought together by a common cause. That cause? Terraforming the XWF into the federation it should be, not the federation it currently is.: “Now let me address some of the points I’ve already mentioned above.” “XWF Superstar blames The Black Circle because they can’t win a title. That’s interesting. Patently false but interesting none the less. It took me two months to walk into the XWF and take the biggest title in the Federation from one of the fed’s very best. A true legend in John Madison. It took the Egyptian Snow Pharaoh about 15 seconds to waltz into the federation and win the Trio’s titles. The Xtreme title, joke as it is has changed hands a few times in the 3 months I’ve been here. European champ, changed hands. US title, changed hands. Tag team titles. About to change hands. Oh, and I’ll be defending my crown next week, and possibly again soon after depending on the results of Peter Gilmour’s match with Black Circle flunky and Sid Feder’s new fluff boy Luca Arzegotti. Oh but I’m not done yet.” “Mr. Supernova has defended his title since I’ve been here. Ditto for John Madison during his 8 month reign as the King of the XWF. Eli James and the aforementioned Luca while members or associate members of the group both defended their titles on numerous occasions. In fact by my count here is how things have shaken out since I’ve been here”
“Well isn’t that interesting. Of the titles held by Black Circle Members, the titles were on the line for 7 matches in the 3 months I’ve been around. All titles not held by Black Circle members an outstanding 2 times. Like I said, interesting. Perhaps the Black Circle aren’t the people you all should be upset at for not defending their titles, not giving others a chance, the data doesn’t lie.” “Now let’s talk about the next point I made above, The Black Circle running interference in matches, either their own or someone else’s. Let’s take a look at through the archives again…
“So there you have, since I have been here there have been 15 instances of outside interference in matches. 14 instances were initiated by random members of the XWF roster, Sebastian Duke playing a rather prominent role. And then there was one instance of The Black Circle, specifically Shane ![]() “So tell me again how The Black Circle costs people matches and their shots at titles and wreak’s havoc all over the place. Because from where I am sitting, The Black Circle is the least of your worries. Worry about Sebastian Duke, and Paul Heyman and the people he takes under his wing, and just about everyone else not in The Black Circle. Now that’s not to say we won’t do what we need to do to swing things in our favor but none of us need to interfere in matches, we don’t need the helping hand. We are just that good.” “Now if you are all asking yourself, what does this have to do with War, let me tell you. Recently Paul Heyman and his Co-General Manager Morgan Eldred thought it would be a good idea to try and mobilize the Madness Roster into attacking The Black Circle, the proverbial bad guys in their version of history, they aren’t the first to do so, and they probably won’t be the last. But they are the latest. And to that I say. Good job. You two have just done what will go down in history as easily the stupidest thing either of you have ever done. You declared war on a group made up of a NAZI, a Space Man who can bend time and space to his will, a mad genius in John Madison, the owner of the company, and me, a guy who runs a company that funds wars all over the world. You literally could not have picked a worse group to go to battle with than us. But the die is cast, and as I said at the very beginning of this little information session. War does not determine who is right – only who is left. This little group led by Heyman and Eldred may think they are right, but when all the dust settles we will be left. That much I can guarantee.” Fade to rainbows and unicorns. ![]() |
