WWE Title Unification Match - Hunter Payne - 11-25-2013
So I missed Raw but heard about this little bombshell. John Cena (the world heavyweight champion) will wrestle Randy Orton (wwe champion) in a title unification match and the TLC PPV. So what do you guys think?
I don't like it. Even though wwe has booked the world heavyweight title like shit the last few years. Back when Batista was Champion in 2005 was awesome. CM Punk and Jeff Hardy feud for the title was intense. And now there is going to be a John Cena or Randy Orton feud for both titles, while Bryan and Punk watch from the tag team division.
I miss the brand split...

I'm actually looking forward to it. While I agree that the title was great for the brand split, there is absolutely no point in it being around anymore, at least in my eyes. At least in unification there will only be a single big prize for everyone to go for, making it probably all the more intense.
Although if the WWE is anything to go by, then they will split them again before WrestleMania...

I love the idea.. But the thing is back in 2001 they did this. Jericho won.( like he should have) Everyone thought that Rock or Austin was going to win it, but we got a swerve.. This time it isn't going to be anyone that worked for it and THAT pisses me off. And we all know John Cena is going to win it. It's a no-fucking- brainer. I don't hate but i dont like cena and orton bores me to death..so this..this is boring horseshit.. Two possible good things can come from this..
1. Cena and Orton both injure eachother in the TLC match(not likely)
2. The Royal Rumble will mean more..and that's the one that will put butts in the seat.. I think that Bryan will win it and face Cena at Wrestlemania.. that's just my thoughts. EVEN THOUGHT PUNK HAS NEVER WRESTLED AT MANIA FOR THE WWE TITLE! sorry i lost it there for a second..that pisses me off lol

The match is happening at TLC. I'm not expecting them to actually unify the titles at a shitty B-level PPV. Chances are, both titles are hanging above the ring, therefore Orton and Cena manage to grab one each (because inconclusive endings is what the WWE likes to do on PPVs now). They'll probably actually swap belts, just so Cena can be WWE champ once again.

I would have preferred them getting rid of the US Title and IC Title. Those belts are pretty worthless now and no one cares about who holds them. WWE is just shitty when it comes to booking and crafting storylines for their midcard.
They like to put all of their efforts into the main event scene, so then it should be just the two main event titles (WWE and World Heavyweight). Basically like how the IC Title used to be pretty close in prestige to the World Title back in the day. Let the midcarders go after the MITB briefcases and bring back the KOTR. KOTR winner faces the Heavyweight champion at SS, and RR winner faces the WWE Champion at WM.
