Everyone is special in their own way, Pete. I like PAYBACK because he is sort of like Batman; Batman is my favorite superhero. Seeing real superheros like PAYBACK, police officers, and of course doctors like me makes me feel less alone in the fight against bad people and bullying. It's a special feeling and a rare sight.

PAYBACK is a good guy, Pete! He's not a bad guy, especially one that thinks he's a smart criminal. There is no such thing as a smart criminal because breaking the law just gets one into trouble. Trouble is bad and not smart at all.
If you are going to compare PAYBACK to a Batman villain it would have to be Sweet Tooth. It's quite the stretch though, because even though PAYBACK loves children I'm sure he'd never touch them inappropriately.
Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think that maybe you were going somewhere with the Egghead theory. PAYBACK has a shaved head; he isn't bald. PAYBACK isn't foolish, either, it just appears that way to the untrained eye because it is difficult for him to filter his thoughts. He is very passionate. Some say passion is stupidity, but I think it's beauty and that it makes this world a wonderful place to inhabit.
You were on the right track, but I think your reasoning was quite absurd. However, from a doctoral standpoint, there is no doubt in my mind that PAYBACK egg-cells in tactical planning and could leave Batman sunny-side-up if the situation permitted. That's the only real similarity between PAYBACK and Egghead.
PAYBACK parallels Batman in every meaningful aspect, not just one. The only thing different about Batman and PAYBACK is their costumes. They both have a strong sense of justice, they both would do anything for a friend who was bullied, and they both would lose to Spider-Man or Superman in a fight with equal prep time and no outside forces. Those three things make Batman who he is and PAYBACK who he is.
