The Story of Myself DVD part 7 - Matt Lennox - 09-06-2013
The DVD menu appears at the main screen. The little arrow appears and clicks on deletes scenes and special features.
Deleted scene 1
Matt- My second title reign in MCW was very short lived. I had won the belt at a Rage TV taping and about 3 weeks later I lost it at another Rage TV taping. I was facing against Orlando Jordan and it wasn't the longest match in the world.
The camera shows clips of the match.
Matt- About 5 minutes in I was going for the 410 Special and he countered out of it and knocked me out with his finisher and won the belt. When I say he knocked me out, I mean that! He knocked me the hell out. I don't think I have ever been knocked out in a match but when I hit the ground I hit it wrong face first and I just blacked out. I woke up a few minutes later with trainers and medics all around me. I was helped backstage and all Orlando kept doing was apologizing. I told him it was fine but he knew I wasn't.

Matt- My first paperview was very bittersweet. I'm not gonna lie I was pissed off at first because I wasn't even on the card. I believe it was Wild Card Weekend, and I was facing off against John Austin, Steve Davids and Crimson Cobra. The only way I made the card was me winning the Xtreme title from Dean McGovern with the 24/7 rule. So I guess you could say I got lucky with making the paperview. I respect every man that was in that match, so I have nothing against that. But the fact that I lost the match because I was locked away in a fucking car pissed me off. I went off on the creative team after that happened. You know what they told me, " Matt, it's going to be okay. You will get your time". I still haven't seen that time haha.

Matt- After Summerslam, me and my friends were pumped up! Especially after we got to hang out with Cena. So we went out on the town, we went wild! We got back into Pasadena and we ended up buying some eggs. We were throwing eggs at people's houses throwing toilet paper at their houses. We even had our paint ball guns and we were shooting it at my old job at the grocery store. We ended up going to McDonalds to get some burgers and who pulls up? The cops. So they told us that people were calling saying that a car matching out description was defacing people's homes and the grocery store. So we got caught and we got arrested. My mom was pissed! I didn't see the light of day for a long time after that.
Special features
Special feature 1
The first special feature shows the community center Matt had constructed over the old apartments he lived in. Matt walks into the building showing everything. There's a basketball court, video games, computer, weights and then he opened up a door in the back and there was a wrestling ring. It even had a little stage for people to come out of with seats and everything.
Matt- Welcome! This right here we just added. I want kids around here that are going through any trouble to come here. I know there's a lot of wrestling fans around here and I want them to come here. They can get trained by me and several other guys that I hand picked. So far we have four guys participating. They are all 16 and they are going to go far. They are starting at a perfect age, all of them show great potential as long as they stay out of trouble.
The camera pans to Matt teaching the kids wrestling and then shows the kids wrestling without Matt in the ring and then it pans back to Matt standing next to the ring.
Matt- I am so thankful I got this community center up and running. That old apartment complex was an awful place. I don't think anybody was living there anymore so it was just standing there. It was disgusting! Whenever I am here, the kids and even the parents were thanking me for doing this. I've never been so excited for something until I got this place opened up.
Special feature 2
The camera pans to the Vans Warped Tour in Columbia Maryland. It is showing highlights of all the festivities like the music, games, apparel. It cuts to bands such as Bring Me The Horizon, Chiodos, Silverstein, Gin Wigmore, and We Came As Romans. Then it cuts to Matt meeting Craig Owens of Chiodos.
Matt- Craig, it's an honor to meet you man. I'm glad you are back with Chiodos.
Craig- Thanks for the support! Are you back to wrestling yet? I haven't had time to watch much since being on tour.
Matt- Yeah I returned about a month ago, things are going better than they were my first go round.
Craig- Wow, I've missed a lot. I'm glad things are going good. I gotta get going to the acoustic tent if you wanna join me.
Matt- Of course!
The camera pans to Craig Owens acoustic set. You can see Matt Lennox in the back corner watching Craig play. The camera then pans to Matt watching The Black Dahlia Murder. He decides to get in the mosh pit. He even crowd surfed and got to high five the lead singer. The camera then pans to Matt walking back to his car as the show ended.
Matt- Another year at the Warped Tour! I love this concert! I've been going every year and it just keeps getting better and better.
The camera fades.
Special Feature 3
The camera cuts to Matt at a NASCAR race waving the green flag at Dover International. Then it pans to Matt watching the race from the pit road. As the camera fades out.
