Locked In: vs Mystica & Elisha - RP 3 - Sebastian Duke - 08-02-2013

Sunday, May 26, 2013 - 10:14 AM EST

We arrived in Boston just a couple of hours ago. After a little debate about stuffing an unconscious Sebastian Duke into a Chevy Suburban and what it may look like to any outside observers, we finally decided it was best to call an ambulance. The ride in was uneventful. The arrival at Boston General was more so.

Word must have leaked that Sebastian Duke would be headed there because as we arrived, hundreds upon hundreds of on-lookers flocked to the scene. Many, many pictures were being taken from cell phones and cameras. Fans of all ages were trying to sneak up and get a photo with an unconscious Angel of Darkness. If he was awake, I'm sure none of them would even have the balls to approach him. Thankfully, security arrived on the scene to hold back the fans as we finally were able to enter the hospital.

Dr. Nguyen was there to greet us. As we rushed Sebastian through the corridors toward the exam room, Nguyen asked his questions.

DR. NGUYEN: “What happened?”

JACOB: “It's a long story.”

DR. NGUYEN: “Start telling it. If I'm going to be able to help him, I'll need to know.”

JACOB: “His match in Vegas went horribly wrong...”

Of course, she had to have just arrived as I said that. The young woman Sebastian had been consorting with while I was the one in need. My nurse. Caitlyn Nguyen. Adopted daughter of the good doctor.

CAITLYN: “What do you mean his match went horribly wrong!?”

The doctors and nurses continue to push Sebastian along in the gurney as myself, Dr. Nguyen and Caitlyn stopped in the hallway.

JACOB: “It's hard to explain, Cait...”

CAITLYN: “Well, you're going to have to!”

JACOB: “Alright, follow me.”

I lead them into a waiting area and shut the door behind us. Caitlyn and the doctor take a seat. I pace back and forth as I tell them the story.

JACOB: “As you may already know, he had a buried alive match last night.”

DR. NGUYEN: “What is that, exactly?”

JACOB: “Actually, it's exactly what it sounds like. The winner buries the loser alive. Anyhow, I had this feeling yesterday that I just couldn't shake. I had a bad feeling something was going to happen to him.

“Something was in the wind and I just couldn't place it. I couldn't put my finger on it.

“So, I gathered up some of the men and we flew to Vegas. Just before we landed, Sebastians father called me and told me that John Madison and Shane showed their true colors and turned their backs on him. Madison hit him in the head with a shovel...”

CAITLYN: “Oh my God!”

That wasn't even the bad part, but she already has her head buried into her fathers shoulder.

JACOB: “They saw to it that he was buried alive and lost the match.

“They didn't stop there.

“After the event left the air, they dug him up and tried to bury him in a real cemetery outside of Las Vegas. We go their just in time to see and Madison take off in a chopper. We dug him back up and pried open the casket they tossed him in.

“He wasn't breathing.

“Long story short, we got him breathing and his heart beating and here we are.”

DR. NGUYEN: “How long was he without oxygen?”

JACOB: “It's hard to say for sure. He was buried the first time at about ten minutes to eleven, our time. He was dug up the second time by 11:30. It all happened so fast.”

CAITLYN: “Daddy, you bring him back to me!”

DR. NGUYEN: “It's possible he's in a coma. The lack of oxygen, though, could have rendered him permanently so.”

Caitlyn begins to sob.

DR. NGUYEN: “Honey, you knew what you were getting into when you entered into a relationship with him.”

JACOB: “Doc, you're on the clock. You brought me back. If anyone can bring him back, it's you. I don't care how you do it or how long it takes. Just get him back.”

Just then, another migraine hits me very suddenly and like a ton of bricks. The tinnitus sets in as well as the double vision. I hit my knees and bring my hands to my ears as if that would stop the ringing.

DR. NGUYEN: “Son, are you okay?”

JACOB: “No!”

DR. NGUYEN: “What's the matter?”

JACOB: “Migraine! Ears ringing!”

DR. NGUYEN: “It seems you're suffering the effects of a stressed out brain. Couple stress with post concussion syndrome and you're in for a nightmare of pain.”

JACOB: “No shit!”

DR. NGUYEN: “Stay here. I have a fix for ya!”

By the time Dr. Nguyen returns, I'm laying in the fetal position on the floor. He gives me a shot in the arm and within a minute, the migraine subsides, the tinnitus disappears and my vision has returned.

JACOB: “Thank you, doc.”

DR. NGUYEN: “I suggest you get some rest. A man in your condition should not be causing himself so much strain.”

JACOB: “I had no choice. I had to.”

DR. NGUYEN: “Of course you had a choice.”

JACOB: “Do you have a brother?”

DR. NGUYEN: “No, Mr. Anderson, I do not.”

JACOB: “Suppose Caitlyn was in major trouble, what would you do?”

DR. NGUYEN: “Point taken.”

JACOB: “Where is Caitlyn?”

DR. NGUYEN: “She's joined Sebastian. She's by his side.

“Mr. Anderson, she is my daughter. Do you know what Mr. Dukes intentions are with her?”

JACOB: “Well, I'd say that he's completely smitten by her. I've never seen him look at any woman the way he does her.”

DR. NGUYEN: “As her father, I hope that's the case. She's smitten with him as well.”

JACOB: “Then do them both the favor of bringing him back.”

DR. NGUYEN: “I shall do my best.”

The people that work in this hospital work fast. During my conversations with Dr. Nguyen and my spell in the waiting room, they already have Sebastian all cleaned up and in a bed in a private room. A tearful Caitlyn lays by his side. Cuddled close to him.

I walk into the room quietly. Through her tears and emotions, she speaks.

CAITLYN: “Do you think Daddy will bring him back?”

JACOB: “Like I said in the waiting room. If anyone can, it's him.”

CAITLYN: “I have big news for him. I need him to hear it.”

JACOB: “What's the news?”

CAITLYN: “I can't tell you. I need him to hear it first.”

JACOB: “Very well. Look, don't worry. He's breathing. His heart is pumping. He's still there.”

CAITLYN: “Yeah, but... I just wish I could talk to him.”

JACOB: “You can talk to him. I imagine you should talk to him. It's just that... at least for now... he's just...

“...locked in...”

I wonder what really is going on in his head right now.
