My Apologies - Thaddeus Duke - 02-23-2025 I think one of the more important aspects of this "job" is to be able to admit when you're wrong. I'm stubborn as hell and sometimes it takes me a minute to realize I'm wrong. Some of y'all feel some things about the way in which we went about trying to change some long standing rules. I didn't feel that an experimental rule change warranted a fed-wide discussion on the matter beforehand. Clearly, I was wrong about that. It wasn't my intent to make any of you feel as if I was disregarding your opinions. Nevertheless, some of you feel that way and I sincerely apologize for making you feel that way. Your opinions are important to me whether you've been here 10 minutes, or ten years. I'm sorry if I made you feel otherwise. I have not been in my current position in an extremely long time, sometimes I'm going to make mistakes. This, clearly was one of them. I'll do better going forward in looping everyone in on any major changes that affect the whole community before they're enacted. I'll do better at seeking and taking your feedback into account. I closed and yeeted the other thread because I felt it was starting to devolve into something it shouldn't have been which I hadn't anticipated. No member of this community needs a finger pointed at them except me. It was my brainchild and it was my mistake not to seek more feedback from the community as a whole before we moved forward. I didn't realize so many felt so strongly about that division. That's a mistake you only make once. That said, if you're going to reply here, please keep it civil and don't point fingers at folks that aren't to blame. This was me, entirely me, and no one else. While I certainly went about it the hard way, your voices were heard on the matter. Your feedback, your opinions, and some bad math on our part is ultimately what pulled the plug. Thank you for insisting that your voices be heard. RE: My Apologies - Charlie Nickles - 02-23-2025 If anyone wants to point a finger, point it at me, and make sure it’s the middle one! FWIW I think you’re doing a good job as our new Overlord. Participation is through the roof. Sometimes controversies shall arise but I think you did a good job handling this one and responding to feedback appropriately. Keep up the good work ❤️ RE: My Apologies - Thunder Knuckles™ - 02-23-2025 Sometimes less is more so ima just going to give you one of these. ![]() |
