JULY 2022 SOTM - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 08-02-2022
Hey there everyone! You know what time it is, don't ya? Well, according to the vastly underrated 90s happy alternative band the Spin Doctors - it's Fo' Thirtay. (Not late... naw, naw... just earlay, earlay, earlay)
Okay actually it's time to vote for stuff.
July is a weird one. We had a lot of focus on an event that was NOT actually an XWF event, nbut did take place on our boards and involve our talent, plus it had one HUGE title change (uh, spoiler alert).
Last time, we basically ignored the cross promotional stuff (Denzel Porter Invitational) but with there being a Uni Title change on the Cannabis Cup, I imagine it's pretty impossible to ignore that.
Luckily we also had War Games, which led to LOTS of awesome RPs, a lot of fun banter, and an amazing set of matches this past Sunday! It just BARELY squeaked in under the wire, but it counts for July, baby!
So - here's some names. It's not everyone who did great, but it's a nice little sampling of folks who had a good month and who could reasonably get votes. Of course others could as well - and if you want to vote for THEM, then pick OTHER... and then tell us who that is!
Make sure after you vote you drop a comment to make your argument for that vote.

JULY 2022 SOTM - Game Girl - 08-02-2022
I am a huge fan of Kido, and winning against Alias is a gigantic deal! Saying that, my vote is going to NKWC. Seeing how NK works firsthand, the amount of effort he puts in and how great ideas just roll off the top of his head so easily was awesome. He and Calypso did an incredible job getting our collab done and made it that good, then he goes on to be the sole survivor of War Games beating Kido!
(Not sure if this counts either but Flynn did win the Cannabis Cup too).

going with NKWC for being the sole survivor. Great props to Raion Kido as well, but I'm going with NKWC on this one because it happened on an official XWF show.

NKWC has my vote. Sole savior of War Games isn't an easy task. Id say its as hard as taking out 31 other people in a tournament. My my opinion.

Very tough decision this month, with Kido winning Universal title from a man I thought was invincible but NKWC winning a helluva of an event with so much great talent in it which includes Kido..
But I'm going with Kido, as the new Uni champion and runner up to NKWC, man is having a run I can only dream of in XWF, he took me down in his debut and hasn't looked back. Amazing. Kudos man.

Like everyone else, it's basically a toss-up. Both Kido and NKWC deserve it.
I opted to go with Kido, because he defeated the undefeatable, then came within milli-points (I'm assuming) of winning War Games.

So, real quick, I'll explain why I waited to vote. And it wasn't that I've been doing math for five days.
Remember when I said I'd vote for myself when I felt I earned it?
Had a pretty good month B)
But, I still feel like it's a little egotistical to vote for yourself, so I didn't want to do that.
BUT! Here's the real issue. Last time someone was neck-and-neck with Kido and they offered him some kindness in the voting, the vote suddenly swung completely in Kido's favor. So... Even though he beat Alias (which I can't overstate, is a thing I DID NOT THINK WAS POSSIBLE)... Can't vote for him. Not that he hasn't earned it, but I know how you people work, and I ain't giving up first place
This leads me to, of course, the only option I have left...
