Most of you know the deal here. Not gonna name drop people - you already know - just want to say thanks for having me back these past 2 years. I can't say enough how much I appreciated how welcome I was made to feel after being out of the game for 10 years. It's pretty surreal that this place keeps on not just surviving but THRIVING even as the faces change. Makes me feel confident that if I turn up again in another decade, it'll still be here.
Keep kicking ass, team. I think the Cannabis Cup showed what I already knew to be true - some of the writers here today are amongst the best I've ever seen in this hobby. And I mean that regardless of era, which I'm almost uniquely positioned to comment on. To top it off, the level of interaction between handlers and other people's work is really amazing to see, and I hope you all never lose that. I see a hell of a lot more instances of people making a point to shout out specific pieces of work from others than I did in 'my era', and that's a testament to the culture promoted top down that helps this place survive, no matter what anyone says.
I'll still be lurking, so I'm not just gonna cut and run. But baby is due in less than 2 months, so I'm gonna go do the Dad thing, ya know?
Who knows, maybe it'll be less than 10 years between runs this time...
