There are moments to go before the match. Pride begins bellowing in my face, spit flying into my face.
Pride
"You better hope you win tonight Steve. Satan himself would be very disappointed if you failed you know? You wouldn't want a beating like you did last week would you? If you win, we will take you HOME, in a decent state. However, if you lose, I cannot promise that you will be so lucky.
Do I make myself clear boy? We still have all of your friends locked away. You wouldn't want them to get hurt now would you?"
Steve Davids
"The problem is Pride. You're worshiping another false god. Just like so many people who flood this business with bullshit. He is NO Satan reborn. He is another phony with another bunch of false followers. I will go out and win there tonight. Eventually though, I will put and end to this and show you that Satan does not exist."
Pride
"Do not push me Steve."
Pride kicks me in the gut and throws me out of the curtain, I stumble out, still in my wrestling gear, blood still stained into my skin. I hold my head as fans jeer, but also stare at the stage in confusion whilst Linkin Park bellows out of the booming speakers.
