I am your WORST NIGHTMARE to your final FANTASY - RP #3 vs CENTURION - Mastermind - 10-22-2019

SWANSEA MARRIOTT HOTEL
SWANSEA, WALES

We had been in Swansea, Wales for two days now since coming from the States where I appeared on Saturday Night Savage where I reclaimed my self esteemed after being embarrassed by Thaddeus Duke last month. I embarrassed him back. And I enjoyed every minute of it.

After landing in Swansea, I heard the news that Thad had been fired from the XWF, that and him losing 8the TV belt to none other than BigD of all people. They say things come in threes.

Good riddance to bad rubbish I say.

Didn't I say in one of my promos when I was competing against him that I can see him walking away once he lost. Well that came true.

Anyway enough about Thad.

Like I said we had been in Swansea for a couple of days now, ahead of Wednesday Night Warfare. We, being, me, me entourage which was usual and for the next couple of weeks, my brother in law, Markus. His sister, my wife Maria, felt he needed time away from Wellington, so I agreed to this.

I had just finished 3 hours of training in the hotel's private gym and was returning to my hotel room. I was having trouble coming up with subject matter for my last promo before Warfare. I had exhausted myself in my first two promos.

I walked into my hotel room to find Markus sitting in a comfortable chair playing a video game on the hotel's television. I was exhausted like I said.

"What's that game?" I asked heading for the shower

"Final Fantasy Fifteen,"

"Really?"

"Yes, why?"

"My favourite was Final Fantasy 10 back in the early 2000's,"

"Wow that's going back a long time. I played 10 it's alright."

"I never was able to clock it. I did get to the end though. Never could beat that final monster. Anyway I need a shower."

I left Markus to playing his game. I made my way to the shower and managed to have a long hot one. I felt better. I then made my way back out into the main room, and sat down on the couch and watched Markus play the game.

I found myself laying down and before long falling asleep...



THE LAND OF DREAMS

THE LAND OF XWF OTHERWISE KNOWN AS:

SPIRA FROM FINAL FANTASY 10


Anyone who knows the Final Fantasy games will know my dream state. Those of you who don't know the Final Fantasy games well shame on you.

It's a RPG type game where you get to control up to 3 different members of a team at once in a battle. You can switch players out for stronger ones.

The object of Final Fantasy 10 is to get the hero, Tidus, to the end with the help of a group of other fighters to help fight against monsters a long the way, including boss monsters.

The land of Spira has been taken over by a monster called Sin and it wants to destroy all of Spira. That's where Tidus and his friends come in. They have to stop SIN.

Now lets take the premise of that game and put it into my dream world.

Spira is the XWF.

Of course it's my dream so I am the hero. Along the way I meet up with:

And

Waaka [Image: wakka.jpg] is of course Noah [Image: Chuck-Taylor.png]


Now I know that in the real world, I was not friends with Fuzz or Noah, but I had a healthy respect for Vita due to our previous matches.

All 4 of us weren't frienemies. We co-existed in the world of XWF.

But in the dreamland world we had to work together to go from town to town defeating monsters and boss monsters.

We finally made it to the last stage. Standing in our way were two very significant threats. The last worst boss monster of them all, and the final monster to end all monsters. That was Sin.

My main focus was Sin because he held something which I wanted the most. While Fuzz's, Vita's and Noah's main focus were on the very last boss, Seymour Guado.

Those three, Fuzz, Vita, and Noah have problems with her, I do too, but they can do a better job than me.

I of course aid them in getting past Sarah, and both Vita and Noah getting their hands on much sought after Sarah merchandise.

I left them to collect their winnings while I soldiered on to face Sin

So Centurion was standing in the road guarding peace. I looked at peace as the Hart Championship.

I wanted it, he had it, and so the final showdown was about to happen and only I could stop him. Once again it was my dream after all.


BACK TO THE LAND

OF AWAKEN

I woke with a fright. What a very vivid dream that was. I looked around. It was dark. The television was off, and Markus was no where to be seen.

I got up and on the way to my room, I checked his. He was fast asleep. I headed to my room thinking of what was ahead of me. I really wanted that Hart championship. And I would do anything to get it.

I jumped in bed and fell asleep.


LOCKER ROOM
LIBERTY STADIUM
SWANSEA, WALES
A FEW HOURS BEFORE WEDNESDAY NIGHT WARFARE

The camera fades in to the locker room of Mastermind as he is preparing for his Trick or Street Match against the new Hart Champion, Centurion.

He looks at the camera, and smirks. He finishes tying his shoe laces, and grabs a chair and sits down.

"I like to think we are all standing at the precipice of a new dawn, a new era. Metaphorically.So much so that Centurion will be known as a one hit wonder, a flash in the pan, blink and you'll miss it.

"He even predicted it himself, just after he won the Hart title from the amazing Tony Santos, who by the way is my first round Lethal Lottery partner.

"Centurion said and I quote 'Watch this space, I'll probably fuck up now at my first defense,' unquote.

"Do we want that sort of confidence in any of our champions? The short answer to that is.... HELL NO!!!!

"Why would you go after any title if you feel you aren't ready. Your just taking up space from those who are fully confident in their abilities. It sounded like Centurion wasn't ready and so I've proven this week that he isn't ready to be our Hart Champion....."

Mastermind starts chuckling.

"I've also proven this week that he is disrespectful arsehole. I thought he was this great wow of a legend when he returned after doing much needed research on him. Back in the day, he won almost everything. You name it, he won it. So i was in awe of him.

"The key word: WAS. I WAS in awe of him. Not any more. He's a selfish prick, he's arrogant, and he thinks he can use his name to good effect in the XWF.

"So what if I lose too many matches, at least I'm still here, at least I still get back up and try again the next match. Look at other people who can't stand losing. They shit the bed so to speak, and then they leave never to be seen from again.

"That's why I guess, Centurion hates me. Because I'm still here. He can't fathom why someone who loses too much sticks around, but I'm still here. He just can't see the bigger picture because I'm still here.

"I've gotten inside Centurion's head. He knows it too. How else would you explain the end of his last promo. He usually signs off with Final Fantasy. He didn't this time because I have been in his head about me being his worst nightmare.

"Go on go back and take a listen and see if it's there. It's not. He didn't sign off on it like he usually does. Win to me.

Mastermind smirks again.

"Centurion, you stated that every action has a possible reaction. I'm the reaction to your action. I've proved it again and again. You have no where else to go mate. I have you in all sorts of trouble which is me being your reaction. You just simply didn't see it.

"I am going to win the Hart title, you just can't see it coming either or you don't want to see it, or acknowledge it. That's your biggest mistake right there, and that's me reacting to your action of disbelieving.

"I own destiny, you failed to see that too. I own your destiny which is to stop you at your first title defense. And if you thought I was a laughing stock, then me winning the Hart title will make you the embarrassment of the XWF. I'll prove it too. Make you eat humble pie.

"You talk about fate. Once again I own your fate, not just your destiny, or your action. Everything you try will be your undoing come tonight. My fate is to stop you even contemplating that you can one up me. You couldn't even if you tried. You have failed to prove that you could.

"I have proven the last few weeks that I am one step in front of you, and you have failed to play catch up. Simply put, you are the one who is not good enough. It's just that simple really,"

Mastermind looks directly into the camera.

"If you feel I constantly demand attention then I'll give you all the attention that you really don't want me to give you. By making out that I'm an attention whore will be your own undoing. Tonight will be your worse night since you returned, and I will make damn sure that will be the case. You've should have taken me much more seriously, but alas you did not. That's on you, you stupid fool.

"Your question about am i confusing with Ned Kaye. That answer is a quick no. We have had a good couple of matches, I respect him more than I had ever respected you. He picked me first to be on his War Games team, for that I'll be ever grateful. Even though we lost.

"I think I've said enough. I've proven my point against the once great Centurion. Tonight when we take to the streets of Swansea in our street fight, you are going to wish you had not stayed off the drugs. Your mind has been polluted by drinking too much alcohol, and you will be far too gone to see the horrors of the night literally smashing you in the face, whether it be jackolaterns, buckets, skeletons, brooms or gravestones, it'll be a night you won't forget. You may regret it instantly but forget it you won't.

"It'll remain with you for years to come, haunt your dreams, be your what if moment. What if I had given Mastermind more respect? what if I focused more? what if I hadn't kept drinking? what if I had kept the Hart title longer than one title defense?

"Those what if's can really come back to bite you in the butt. Trust me I have plenty.

"Tonight will be your ultimate nightmare. If you think tonight is your final fantasy then you best bet is to pray like hell because there will no escaping the fact that I have had your number since day one. You've been on a downward spiral in more ways than one.

"Face it Centurion. You fucked up. You royally fucked up. You fucked up so bad that you can't see what is about to happen. You are about to become the laughing stock of the XWF. You had a chance to prevent it.

"I have proven to be YOUR WORSE NIGHTMARE and to me I will certainly bring it. The question is. Can you?"

Mastermind starts rubbing his hands in glee, and then starts laughing menacingly. The camera fades out.
