NFL Football - B.O.B. D - 04-19-2019

So, who here watches the NFL? I became a Rams fan when I was young and saw Kurt Warner, hometown hero, win them a Super Bowl. You could call that being a bandwagoner, but considering I stuck with them through ALL those bad years, I like to think I've proven myself a loyal fan. Lol, and yes, the Super Bowl destroyed me just like the 1st for Brady.

So do you guys watch? Who's your team? I also watch college, but the Iowa Hawkeyes are always a disappointment year after year. The way it goes with them is you either have HIGH expectations because of the previous year and they go 6-6, or you have 0 expectations because they were 6-6 the year before, and then they actually have a good year. Ugh.

I'm not ready to open these wounds.

SHUT UP KUDA EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE THIS SEASON WE DON'T EVEN NEED ODELL OHMYGODWHYISTHISHAPPENINGTOME

re:NFL Football - B.O.B. D - 04-19-2019

Yeah............ Don't know how I didn't realize that one. :/ I feel for you, you guys aren't gonna be good this year if you use a 1st on Eli's replacement. And from what I hear, taking his replacement this year might not even be the best time.

But honestly, Odell was a cancer. As great as he is, you never see teams with star studded receivers winning Super Bowls. That'd be the least of my worries if I were a Giants fan.

re:NFL Football - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 04-19-2019

Odell was not remotely close to a cancer. He was a passionate player who didn't like to lose. His little sideline antics here and there weren't even that bad but they got made out to be like he was disrespecting the team. Dude just wanted to win games. No one worked harder and the Browns are going straight to the postseason.

re:NFL Football - B.O.B. D - 04-19-2019

I agree the Browns are postseason bound. I just remember when him and Norman got into it and it's like, "dude, you're gonna cost your team the game acting like a fool."

He's also nowhere near AB, I'll give him that.

NFL Football - Darius Xavier - 04-19-2019

Norman is a grade A dicknozzle.

Also, go Birds.

NFL Football - Kuda - 04-19-2019

Saints have it in the bag this year.

re:NFL Football - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 04-19-2019

The Norman cheap shot is the only really bad thing Odell ever did, but from every account it was all due to Norman essentially threatening him before the game and getting into his head a bit. Still wrong, but it was a one time thing. Odell also is the only reason we made the comeback in that came (tied up and lost in OT, I think) from like 3 TDs down, because Norman has NEVER been able to actually cover him. I smiled when the Skins got Norman for that very reason.

People see a black dude with a personality and say he's a problem. He wasn't. He was a guy who was matching JERRY RICE numbers to start his career and would have kept doing it, and most likely will again, with a QB able to perform at a high octane level. I love Eli, but he's not the right guy to throw the ball to a dude like Beckham anymore. He can still get it done, but not in a dynamic way and definitely not behind the shitty line they put in front of him the last two years.

Luckily Saquon is a monster and Sterling is pretty darn good in his own right, but it won't matter if it's still Eli behind 5 schmucks again.

To be fair, I would bitch if it were a white guy with a "personality." I just don't like alot of these players who take for granted what they have. It's like, even if you're not on the best team, you're still gonna see more money in your time than most people do in a lifetime.

And, Kuda, I look forward to seeing the Saints in our rematch, hopefully no excuses this time.

re:NFL Football - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 04-19-2019

Sure, but they deserve that money. These guys end up crippled and with CTE because of the game and we cry that they aren't working hard enough. I laugh every time someone talks down a player... Like can you even run a 40? I mean just complete one without dying, much less do it in 5 seconds. These dudes work crazy hard.

I mean, I could DO a 40, I don't know how long it would take though. Lol Last time I did one was in high school for football and it would've probably been 6 something.

I get it, and can respect the fact their minds aren't gonna be there forever. I just hate when people act out, it's like normal people don't do that, so why should athletes? I feel bad for turning this into a debate about football players attitudes vs the actual game itself. XD

Definitely on the Eagles, at the very least. System was pretty much made for Foles. Hoping he has success for the Jags, they've had such a good team just no QB, it's been sad.

I could but then we'd have to immediately put you on suicide watch and I don't have time for that kind of nonsense.

Yes he was. Sad he was injured last season

re:NFL Football - B.O.B. D - 04-19-2019

I hate you guys traded for Jimmy, I thought Beathard could've done well with a better supporting cast. Good for Kittle getting that record, though, Iowa boy.
