I need advice - Mezian - 05-15-2017 After the awesome Rp war, i had with Thomas Nixon who pushed me to do better. Whether he did this on purpose or by accident, I feel compelled to write more and give a better product to the readers. With this being said I wrote the first of my rps today and I ended up going over my limit, by 278 words.I realized this and cut a few parts out now it's still over. Do I go through and keep editing? Or do I post and hope it's not DQed? Any and all thoughts accepted. Also, this is before coding and such I don't know if that counts in word count or not. Thanks Patrick[Mezian] re:I need advice - Vincent Lane - 05-15-2017 Nah, coding doesn't come into it. Only actual "words" that you'd see in the finished product. I usually ignore things like captions or even location tags, etc, but I can't speak for everyone. I need advice - Paul Heyman - 05-15-2017 Maybe it's a good idea to create a standard there. Keep everyone on the same page. re:I need advice - Vincent Lane - 05-15-2017 (05-15-2017, 12:02 PM)Paul Heyman Said: Maybe it's a good idea to create a standard there. Keep everyone on the same page. Probably right. Though I am almost 100% sure no one looks at the coding at least. re:I need advice - Jody Madrox - 05-15-2017 (05-15-2017, 12:04 PM)Vincent Lane Said:(05-15-2017, 12:02 PM)Paul Heyman Said: Maybe it's a good idea to create a standard there. To be honest, coding is just to make your ish' look "polished" sometimes people don't need to code a thing and still get their RP's across the board to the viewers at home. re:I need advice - Vincent Lane - 05-15-2017 Yes, the coding never comes into play for RP judgments. But more to Mezian's point, it shouldn't matter as far as word counts go either. |
