April 2017 SOTM - Vincent Lane - 05-01-2017

What's up party people?

It's that time again. Pick who you feel deserves the honor of XWF's Star of the Month award. Give me a good reason.

I'll go ahead and assume Gilly votes for himself.

re:April 2017 SOTM - Misty Waters - 05-01-2017

Been kind of a slow month since Lethal Lottery- which is crazy to say considering all that's transpired. Caedus Cash-in, Kings Returning, Everyone and their momma joining Ax3, Graves being a sick freak.

But I've been REAL impressed with one RPer in-particular this month:

Danny Imperial.

Dude had his first match against a former Uni Champ and RPed his ass off and won, and has since only lost one other time and captured the TV title. His development to his character, his activity on the boards, his overall work has just been a real joy to watch.

My vote goes to Danny.

Tidbits and everyone else gets honorable mentions.

April 2017 SOTM - Mr Killjoy - 05-01-2017

I'm voting for Danny also for pretty much the same reasons Dolly gave.

April 2017 SOTM - Doctor Louis D'Ville - 05-01-2017

I say Michael Graves.

The guys been solid since he came around and has fought toe to toe with some top dudes. I worked with him at Lotto, which I know, dates back. But, AX3 and all of the segments and angles to go along with it. He's a stud.

April 2017 SOTM - Cadryn Tiberius - 05-01-2017

Michael Graves.

Guy generates enough heat that Trump may write him off as not real.

April 2017 SOTM - Paul Heyman - 05-01-2017

Reno.

Jk. Jk.

Imperial. Echoing Dolly here. Guys a star on the rise.

April 2017 SOTM - Peter Fn Gilmour - 05-01-2017

going with Jim Cadeus once again.. he won the lethal lottery AND the Uni Title in the same month!!

and Vincent.. in a perfect world, I'd be superstar of the millenium!

April 2017 SOTM - JackCain - 05-01-2017

Another vote for Danny. His promo work has been excellent.

April 2017 SOTM - Super Mario - 05-01-2017

Danny all the way i love the guys work like no other he's inspired me to step up my R.P GAME

April 2017 SOTM - Imperial - 05-01-2017

I had to go back and read a bunch of roleplays, but I had to give it to Graves. He's really reinvented his character and done it in the most entertaining way.

April 2017 SOTM - Theo Pryce - 05-02-2017

This has been one of the hardest months I can remember when it comes to picking SOTM's. Usually there is a clear winner, sometimes a second person deserves serious consideration. But this month I see three people who all could have a case made for them.

The irony here being that last month was the first time we've ever had three individual winners share the reward.

For my money the three people I see most deserving are...

Jim Caedus - Won Lethal Lottery and the Universal Title in the same month. Granted the latter was a result of the former but still the work had to be done to make that happen and Lethal Lottery is not an easy event to win.

Michael Graves - Has done a lot of great work to reinvent his character. His pedo storyline with Dolly while creepy is a lot of fun to watch play out. And he has really done a great job with getting threads started that receive a lot of attention/response.

Danny Imperial - I've seen a pretty big improvement from Imperial over the last month. For my money he is one of my favorite new(to me) characters to read. He's had a lot of really tough match ups which also speaks to him not shying away from the challenge as I personally feel that is one of the best ways to go about trying to improve. Capped off with winning the Television Title.

I guess the names above come down to what does SOTM mean to you?

Is it the superstar who truly did the best that month? If so, Caedus is really the only guy who deserves consideration.

Is is the superstar who was the most active and did the best work across the whole spectrum? If so, you have Graves.

Or is it the guy who has done some of their best work while improving steadily throughout the month? Cause that's where Imperial comes into play.

I don't know that in all my time in the fed that there has ever been a clear direction as to what SOTM should mean, people are free to vote however they want provided they give their reasons.

So with that being said, gun to my head, I have to pick one...I go with Graves.

For me the big difference is, and what I think took Caedus out of the equation was that while Lethal Lottery was in April, all the work for it was done in March.

And for Imperial, great as his improvement has been, Graves has been right up there with him, and when you factor in all the stuff on the boards that has come about from Graves current angle, that is the chief difference.

So yeah, Michael Graves for April SOTM.

April 2017 SOTM - Steve "KingSlayer" Davids - 05-05-2017

Not sure if it's too late to vote, but i'm going with Jim Caedus. In my mind the Superstar of the Month should be whoever has put out the best work that month. His work is simply incredible, and winning the Universal Championship highlights that. I believe that belt holds a lot of prestige, and that's why he deserves SOTM, regardless of how often he's had it previously.
