The scene opens to NOCMM staring off into the horizon after killing some more monkeys. He's not thinking about Jim Caedus's promo, because he already thought about it. He already laughed about Jim Caedus claiming to be tired, the opposite of woke. He already thought about Jim's vicious denial of something obviously true. These things weren't really that thought-provoking. It didn't take much to figure out how to turn them around on Caedus and own him, but that was for the next promo. This promo was about something else.
