Question about the titles. - "Dark Warrior" Micheal Graves - 11-23-2016 Quick question. The old XWF world heavyweight title, has it been renamed or retired? I have a feeling that it is the Heavymetalweight title now, but I don't want to chance referencing that later and being wrong. Question about the titles. - John_Black - 11-23-2016 For you it might be, since you the original OG of this site, but uh... all I know is that we have the Universal Strap based on the World Heavyweight design. The Heavymetal title it is own separate title, so no its not the xwf world heavyweight strap for future reference. Question about the titles. - "Dark Warrior" Micheal Graves - 11-23-2016 Well we used to have the Universal title and the World Heavyweight title. Basically the World title was our IC belt at the time. Admittedly it was a little confusing even back then to have a WHC and it be a secondary title. Question about the titles. - Dolly Waters - 11-23-2016 I'll break it down as best I can: Top Prize- Universal Title Second most important- Xtreme Title (This belt is also defended 24/7 and comes with big perks) Warfare Singles Title- Hart Championship (Usually defended every Warfare) Savage Singles Title- TV Championship (Defended every week on Savage) Tag and Trios are self explanatory 24/7 Championships: Xtreme Title (See above) Federweight Title (24/7 defense, winners judged on best trash talk in 500 words or less) Heavy metal weight (24/7 defense, win this by hiding the word 'pin' or variations of the word in your post) The bottom two belts are more for fun Question about the titles. - Dolly Waters - 11-23-2016 But to answer your question about the old championship, I've seen some of the guys from the old fed bring it up, like Barney Green. It's cool to mention it, at least I think, but this site only tracks championship history from 2012 Question about the titles. - "Dark Warrior" Micheal Graves - 11-23-2016 Fair enough, so for IC purposes I'll treat it as a retired championship if it ever comes up. Thanks for the info! re:Question about the titles. - Vincent Lane - 11-23-2016 Somewhere in between the World Title and the current Universal Title, there was also the Crown. Anything before Shane owning the fed I have absolutely knowledge of, though. Barney and Gilmour might know some stuff, since they've been here forever. And obviously Shane himself, if you ever manage to find him. Question about the titles. - "Dark Warrior" Micheal Graves - 11-23-2016 Either way, I think just assuming that it is a retired and inactive belt is the best way to go. I'm in a pretty unique situation though. I've used the same character since the 90s and I've legitimately been away from this scene since 06 or 07. So stepping back in, and trying to run the same character is pretty hard. Question about the titles. - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 11-23-2016 When I first took over the XWF a few years back, the World Championship became "The XWF Championship" for a while. From there, I think we shifted into having "King of XWF" (aka the Crown) as being the top prize in the fed for a while. Later, the Crown became more of a yearly accolade similar to WWE's King of the Ring and I think that's when the Universal Championship made its return. Then for a short while, due to storylines, we had "The XWF Universal Championship" and "The IWGP/CCWF Universal Championship" at the same time. Then as the CCWF invasion and IWGP storylines kind of faded out, we went back to recognizing only one Universal Championship. Simple enough... right? lol *runs away* Question about the titles. - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 11-23-2016 And yes just to answer your main question, it's safe to consider the World as a former/retired title nowadays. Although if you want to reference its current equal to what you remember the World title being, that would now be the X-treme title since that's our 2nd highest title right now. re:Question about the titles. - Vincent Lane - 11-23-2016 (11-23-2016, 05:46 PM)Black Shane Black <img src="https://i.imgur.com/pUgtAVa.gif"> Black Said: When I first took over the XWF a few years back, the World Championship became "The XWF Championship" for a while. Question about the titles. - "Dark Warrior" Micheal Graves - 11-23-2016 Don't be jealous that Shane will show up for me Vinnie, Graves was once one of his Weapons. re:Question about the titles. - Vincent Lane - 11-23-2016 Ashen > Gehenna Question about the titles. - "Dark Warrior" Micheal Graves - 11-23-2016 I stil have the RPs leading into that. I was totally ripping off the weapon x story. Question about the titles. - Paul Heyman - 11-23-2016 I'm a mark for Weapon:Ashen Question about the titles. - "Dark Warrior" Micheal Graves - 11-23-2016 From the little I saw back in the day, me too. He was my favorite character in XWF. Unfortunately when we started planning that story I was so burnt out and just done with ewrestling at the time. I didn't end up seeing t through. But I'm motivated and happy to be here now, so let's rock! |
