Sorry all - Kitt Kennedy - 10-11-2016 I don't know what my deal has been for Warfare this week but I have had like a mental writing block and the stuff that has been put out there and what I have that I am about finished with has not been anywhere near my best. To be honest, from my perspective it has been complete junk and I am embarassed by it. Hoping to get my brain cleared for some really good material heading into Savage. I just want to appoligize to those involved in my match for the crap that I put together and called RPs. Kitt (Jimmy) re:Sorry all - Vincent Lane - 10-11-2016 Don't be so down on yourself, Kitt. You're doing good work and you're in that TV match because you deserve to be. Nobody wins all the time, except Soldier's fuck ass. Keep doing exactly what you've been doing and you're gonna go far, kid. re:Sorry all - Kitt Kennedy - 10-11-2016 Thank you guys! I'm not really worried about the losses, I just feel like I let the others in the match down by not giving them much material to work back and forth with. Again, I appreciate the kind words! ![]() Sorry all - Peter Fn Gilmour - 10-11-2016 my 2nd rp sucked in my opinion but u did good work Sorry all - Doctor Louis D'Ville - 10-11-2016 It happens to the best of us dude. From what I can see you've been putting in some great work. Like those other guys said, we all get mental blocks sometimes. What helps me is reading other material like other rps, comic books, hell... short horror stories in my case... even watch a movie or just regular TV to almost take your mind away for a bit and let the ideas creep in. Every one of you new guys are putting out impressive shit and has great potential to take you guys far. re:Sorry all - Unknown Soldier - 10-12-2016 I just want to make a mention to all the newcomers that make their way into XWF and even some of the veterans as well. I know it's amazing and fun to create multiple characters and sign up for multiple shows when you jump right in. Because there is so much action going on all over the site. But if you really want to go far in XWF and see where you can reach your ultimate peak, the best thing to do is to focus as much of your attention to one character and one show. If you want to create another minor character to participate in the other show that's opposite your major character then that's fine and many people have a lot of fun and succeed very well with their major character when they do this. I've done it before and still do from time to time, nobody will know my minor character! lol Lots of people do that and have a good time. But the thing about XWF is, that we have the best competition in e-fedding, and if you want to test your writing and see how well you can compete with the other writers here then keep a one track focus and don't overkill yourself with multiple characters and signing up with multiple shows and overdoing yourself. I find that the more time and focus you spend on a specific character and his stories, the more quality you produce in your role plays as opposed to the quantity you try to overproduce and burn yourself out by overdoing yourself. Everyone is here to just have fun, so if you want to write 666 different characters and sign up for every show and that keeps you entertained then by all means nobody will stop you and your welcome to always continue enjoying yourself this way as long as your not no showing with said characters. But I just wanted to make a suggestion to Kitt here and many others that might be realizing this same thing. Just don't overkill yourself Kitt, because that's how we all get writers block. When you try to force ideas. Writing is more creative and easier to come from the imagination when your not trying to force it, and in my case smoke endless amounts of marijuana.. ![]() re:Sorry all - Dolly Waters - 10-12-2016 (10-11-2016, 07:46 PM)Kitt Kennedy Said: I don't know what my deal has been for Warfare this week but I have had like a mental writing block and the stuff that has been put out there and what I have that I am about finished with has not been anywhere near my best. I just want to appoligize to those involved in my match for the crap that I put together and called RPs. I didn't think it was bad at all. You and me are double booked this week, and both were on Savage last week. I felt kind of the same way you did, because I tried a different writing style for warfare, and literally had to rush both of those RPs on Monday and Tuesday respectively: so me, being the dumbass I am, who thinks that not getting 'likes' and not getting REP for my work makes me believe that it's somehow indicative of my writing. Doesn't keep up the good work bud. You're doing just fine re:Sorry all - Vincent Lane - 10-12-2016 I think I probably got fewer likes than anyone during my heavy roleplaying periods. Sometimes people just don't do them, or they do them just because it's a character they like seeing around and not necessarily because it was any good or anything like that. Conversely, there are plenty of people who probably read and enjoy things but never hit the like button or ever do any rep. I usually "like" every roleplay I read, simply because I want people to know I read it and also I want to encourage people to do more. I should probably rep more often. I got Soldier to 666 and felt satisfied. Also, Soldier's minor character is Ghost Tank. Sorry all - Dolly Waters - 10-12-2016 I almost rep'd a Soldier post just simply for using Celine Dion, but then I noticed that all too perfect rep score Sorry all - Bjorn Felhammen - 10-12-2016 Soldier is a closet christian. re:Sorry all - Unknown Soldier - 10-12-2016 You can still give rep and just put 0 points re:Sorry all - Unknown Soldier - 10-12-2016 (10-12-2016, 06:02 AM)Vincent Lane Said: Fixed Sorry all - Dolly Waters - 10-12-2016 I miss hero xtreme 7.9 |
