Being Who I Am (Rp 4) - Cain - 01-04-2016

After the murder of his brother, his banishment from God's graces, settlement in Nod, and the thought that the great flood had wiped out his entire family Cain pulled himself free of the wreckage of the land he'd been banished to.

"*Cough cough*...." He was hacking up a lung as he awoke to complete and utter darkness. He felt the cold stone of a cave under his bare back, a puddle of stagnant water forming under his mouth as he wretched it up.

He was weak, but he could still smell sulfur in the air. The smell of burning flesh invaded his nostrils as he turned over, planting both of his fist into the ground and standing up weakly. He was cold, and naked. He didn't shake though, because his acts had made him quite the stone cold individual.

Cain slowly looked around at the walls of the cave, seeing them just as if it was daylight. He looked down at his hands, which were shriveled as if he'd been laying in water for years. He slowly began walking through the darkness, the sound of dripping water heard as he did. It was then that Cain noticed a bright light beckoning him from the darkness. He moved slowly, weakly toward the light as he traced a hand along the smooth cave wall.

As he stepped out into the open air, he quickly shut his eyes to avoid the bright sunlight, the light itself blinding him. He slowly opened his eyes and adjusted to the light as he found himself standing in an open field. Off in the distance he saw a huge mountain crowned with glowing red fire and black smoke.

He remarked unto himself.
"...where in the hells am I?"

The name of the location flashes across your TV screen.

Pompeii

He heard the laughter of a young boy at the end of a cobblestone path. He looked up, suspicion in his voice. "Enoch?" then he shook his head, thinking of the impossibility. He was the only one of his line left, and that was due to the curse of immortality.

Cain Voiceover Said:So many people see me as a one dimensional murderer. Some people even say that killing is my only purpose in life, and maybe they are right. But I still remember sleeping for hundreds of years in that cave, then waking up. It was not a good morning, because I remembered that Enoch, my sweet and dear son had been taken from me by the flood.

There wasn't anyone there. The sky that had originally been so bright to him has become dark, and Cain took note of this as he trudged forward through the swaying blades of grass. Waist high grass, on top of piles of black ash. He stopped momentarily, wiping tears from his eyes.

Cain Voiceover Said:Some people say that monsters don't feel pain. Some people think that I was always like this, a cold and heartless killer doomed to kill for the rest of his life. But back then, I had actually felt remorse for what I'd done. I killed Abel. I was shunned by my family. And the True God had forsaken me to wander this world forever. For a while, I tried to atone for my sins. I'd fed the soil my brother's blood, so I couldn't do what I was good at.

So I became a blacksmith. I worked hard, every season. I worked in what felt like hell, but I made horseshoes for the chieftains' horses. I even married a chieftain's daughter, and we had the light of our lives nine months later.

Little Enoch.

After walking for about thirty minutes, Cain happened upon the ruins of a city. Smoldering ruins. The streets were littered with the corpses of men, women, and children. Some of them looked as if they'd been screaming and a very different Cain shook his head and sighed sadly. For what good it did, he said prayers for the dead. He kneeled before each one.

Cain Voiceover Said:Keep in mind that I didn't always think that the True God was a vengeful, violent God. I once believed in my remorse that everything he did was for a reason. Even taking my light, Enoch, was for a reason as much as it hurt.

As I looked over the destroyed village of Pompeii that day I knew that this too was for a reason. But then, I began to question what these people had done? And so soon after the great flood. Or was it?

He stood and stepped over the bodies of the dead, his mind filled with thoughts of his own family. He asked himself the question "How long have I been asleep?" and winced, narrowing his eyes. His head was pounding as if he'd slept for hundreds of years.

As he reached the outer borders of the ruined city, he heard marching.
"HALT!"

Cain felt cold steel on the nape of his neck and looked forward to see a troop of Roman soldiers (what we would know as Roman soldiers), marching up the cobblestone path from the beach. What little sunlight there was beamed off of their bronze shields and weapons, and looking through the corner of his eye he saw that another soldier was holding the spear.

Cain Voiceover Said:Why did I become a wrestler? I've been asked many times why I became a fighter for sport when I could easily just slaughter any of my opponents. I guess it all began when I was held captive by the empire for years upon years. Sooner or later, due to numerous attempts to kill me and failures, I became valuable to the empire. I rose through the ranks quickly, and educated myself by learning from the best.

They believed I was a God, as evidently I had survived a volcanic eruption. Said I was the son of Vulcan, forged in the fires of death and war. I knew better. I always knew I was the creation of the True God.

And Ginger, through him, I learned about vengeance and destruction.

Fast Forward

A dark scene, the sky is blood red. The screams of millions of human souls can be heard as men fight, clanging their weapons together, blood spraying through the air. A newly battle hardened Cain grins under his helmet as he impaled the Persian prince through the heart with his spear. He then stood atop the bodies of the slain Persian army, covered in blood from head to toe. He is surrounded by hundreds of Roman soldiers, pumping their swords...chanting...

Cain!

Cain!

Cain!

Cain Voiceover Said:I learned the thrill of War from the greatest armies of the ancient world, and I came from nothing to do so. I saw the Spartans slain by the Immortals, I was THERE when the million arrows suddenly blacked out the sun.

I killed my brother and I lost my son. My family was gone and I am the last, so I fight to continue a tradition I started when I marched with that army. And I don't CARE if the fans love me or hate me, because this generation of humans is flawed. They are lazy.

I am, Ginger, the perfect warrior and the perfect predator. I became a wrestler for matches like this. Just imagine the look on all those children's faces when I drag your face across the mesh of that cell, blood running down your pretty little face, your insides aching from the pain I inflict on you. Can you imagine it, Ginger?

Flash to a live action shot of Cain, perched upon a throne made of bones and skulls. Blood seeps from the eyes of the skulls as ominous music plays in the background. Oddly, Cain is wearing his blood stained armor and holding the ancient weapon he'd slain the last Persian with.

The camera zoomed in slowly to Cain's blood stained face, and he spoke.

"I can imagine it, Ginger. And I can't wait to tear you to pieces. For me, it is a glorious dream because I know that your anguished screams will fill the air. Then I think about the looks on the faces of all the little Ginger fans as I tear your fair skin from your cheeks. Hear them gasp everyone I bury my boot into your ovaries..."

He grins.

"....such a lovely dream for me, but not so much for you. Or your...Alpaca? Llama? Pft. It'll be grand, and the last two words you'll hear will be "Goodbye Ginger". Or more realistically, "Cain wins".
