Prima Donna - PrimaDonna - 09-05-2015 WRESTLER'S STATS In-Ring Name: Prima Donna Wrestler's Real Name: Nathan Adler New to XWF or a returning roster member?: New Wrestler Date of Birth: 8 January 1990 Height: 5' 10" Weight: 125 lbs. Hometown: Cardiff, Wales Personality: Nathan Adler is truly a creation of post-modern society as evidenced by his formative years where an outcast child immersed himself in avant-garde art and ideas; inspired by the theoretical posturing of philosophers such as Gilles Deleuze and Jacques Derrida young Adler came to believe that the contrast difference provided was ultimately beneficial to humankind. This translates to Adler’s career in the world of sports entertainment in far as he believes himself to be separate entity from the talent already employed by the X-treme Wrestling Federation…they are wrestlers in the general sense of the word, he is an artist lampooning as a caricature of a wrestler in fact his ring name Prima Donna is merely a wrestling persona deconstructed to a single defining characteristic. Needless to say this “intellectualism” does not translate into warm relations with his fellow employees or fans as he comes off as pretentious and even condescending at times; his past as a professional dancer only further infuriates those that feel he should not be in the sports entertainment business to begin with. In the ring Adler is concerned primarily with theatrics above all else; he envisions the mat as a canvas and himself as a brush, thusly his motivation is not championship gold or even audience enjoyment per say, but allowing those in attendance and those watching at home to conceptualize the artistic process itself…the contrast between beauty and destruction. Adler thinks of himself above gimmicks and clichés by choosing to address a competitor by their real name if publicly known, making light of overly garish personas or storylines, and so on; he often blurs the line between a “work” and a “shoot” much to the constant ire of coworkers. Alignment (heel/face/tweener): Heel Looks Description: Being extremely gaunt and pale Nathan Adler is not what one would consider a typical wrestler; his garb consists of various outfits inspired by the Seventies glam rock scene i.e. fashionable yet flamboyant . His hair is usually dyed blue, but in all actuality it varies from show to show or more specifically from outfit to outfit. His eyes naturally possess a light blue tint and he is adamantly against using contact lenses. Ethnicity: Welsh Pic Base: WRESTLING STATS Strengths: Evasiveness - years spent as a dancer have gifted Adler with the ability to be fast on his feet and light on his toes. This ability in particular is crucial when Adler wants to systematically wear his opponent down through hit and run strikes or grapples. Unconventionality - Adler mindset is not one of a wrestler therefore he is hard for an opponent to comprehend allowing Adler to don the guise of unpredictability. Psychology - through years of philosophical study Adler knows how to deconstruct the psyche of the human animal allowing him to predict patterns of thoughts and/or actions. In the ring it is possibly he will use one’s reliance on tried and true methods against them. Weaknesses: Adherence to theatrics - can be a disadvantage to Adler in the sense that he is willing to pursue a line of attack based on the proverbial picture he is painting; for example Adler could be unwilling to take an easy finish on the grounds that it is in opposition to his overall artistic vision. Size and Stature - are clear disadvantages and it would be easy for more conventional wrestlers to gain the upper hand in matches. Ego -intrinsically this is his biggest weaknesses as it fuels his delusions of grandeur making it all too easy to view his fellow talent as inferiors, his overconfidence can therefore be used against him. Entrance Theme Music: Placebo - Nancy Boy Special Entrance (if any): Feathers float down from the rafters littering the area as Adler illuminated by a spotlight makes his way to the ring his arms extended in mock crucifixion as he is greeted by the jeers and boos of the studio audience.
