The camera fades in to the locker room of Mastermind. He is looking outside the window.
"Tonight I face other people in a Fatal 6 Way match for a shot at Vinnie Lane's Hart Championship. If I was ready for another shot I'd be focused, but the last few weeks I haven't been in the mood to focus, and as a result, my results have gone badly. But I refuse to let myself become the victim of whose fault it is. It's no one's fault but mine.
"Tonight will be my last match for two weeks. I need to take time off, I need to get back to New Zealand to refocus. Like I said, my focus is all stuffed up at the moment, and I haven't been competing like I should be.
"Marek Matthews, Aerial Knight, Pike Andrews, Ginger Snaps and The Mercenary will all become Stepping Stones to my future return. Whether or not I get amongst a win, is another story. But these guys will feel why I need a break. A break of two weeks is all is needed.
"Stepping stones. That's all I need to do. Is step over these guys.
"Selfish or unselfish. That is the way it has to be."
Mastermind smiles and walks out of the view of the camera.
