Feedback - Masked Warrior - 04-01-2013 http://xwf99.com/showthread.php?tid=1965 Thank you, gracious ones. Feedback - Masked Warrior - 04-08-2013 BUMP Feedback - Neonero - 04-08-2013 I really enjoyed your story and manner of description. However as an efed rp, you didnt mention XWF, Birdman or your match at all. I got the feeling that was coming in part 2 but we never got that this week. Your writing is really good, just need to bring it into the XWF sphere a little. Feedback - John Msdison 2.Faggot - 04-08-2013 Yeah, it's always a gray subject when it comes to mentioning opponents or XWF in RPs. Some people just aren't interested in doing trash talk and it would be pretty weird to expect them to force it into their work. Feedback - Neonero - 04-08-2013 Well, if people want to rp but dont want to mention even wrestling, why are they rping in an efed at all? I'm not saying a huge amount of their rp should be oriented to it if thats how they write, but not mentioning it at all? Feedback - C Y R E N - 04-08-2013 I gotta fully agree with Neo, here. 9 times out of 10, unless there's a rebuttal in a shortly-ensuing RP, if an RP has no mention of a wrestling match, of wrestling, of the XWF OR of their opponent - it really isn't suitable material. It can be a great character piece but if the 'character pieces' are all that are available as an offering, or is a majority of one's offering for the week, in my eyes it will lose out to maybe a sub-par written RP that has intentions towards their opponent and the task at hand. It's what tailor makes the RP to a certain opponent - otherwise, someone can come in with a novel they wrote 5 years ago and post it in parts, really gaining an unfair advantage against someone whom (as they should be) trying to tie in original material that incorporates their opponent. Feedback - C Y R E N - 04-08-2013 Also, to clarify, Masked Warrior, I get where you're going with this. I tink it was wonderfully written and am excited to see where this goes... I think I kind of got side-tracked from the point of the thread onto an existential issue concerning e-fedding, part of a 'debate' that's been going on for about 6 months now here and there. Feedback - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 04-08-2013 Just to chime in briefly... Not every RP "needs" to be XWF/opponent based but if you go your full week with NO relevance to XWF or your match, but your opponent DOES have relevance (remember relevance is key; doesn't have to be trash talk) then you'd be at a severe disadvantage in my eyes if you go into the match with zero relevance. For example if a person does 3 RPs and you can't even tell they're in XWF, or tell who they're facing, then they're probably going to lose if their opponent remembered to include relevance. On the other hand... if you do 3 RPs and the first two are story based with no relevance, but the last one includes relevant material, then you're fine. Make sense? Feedback - Masked Warrior - 04-08-2013 Of course it does Shane-o Feedback - Neonero - 04-09-2013 Abso-bloody-exactly. That's what I meant when I said I assumed that you were going to tie things in with part 2, and I'm sure you will in future. Which is good for me, because as I said, I loved this piece and I'd like to read more. Feedback - Masked Warrior - 04-09-2013 I appreciate the feedback. Part two should be even more interesting and riveting. |
