It's a Long Way - pyro - 02-25-2015
The camera pans across a small apartment to a group of 4 guys watching the ending of Wednesday Warfare.
Among them is Pyro.
Dude#1: "So, this is what you signed up for, huh? You know this is a completely different level than
all that indie and backyard wrestling stuff you're used to?"
Pyro: "Ha. I'm ready for it. I've had plenty thrown at me over the years to toughen me up. And even
if I do go out and get my ass handed to me the first time, there's always a nice cold 40 in the fridge
to ease the pain."
With that, Pyro takes a drink of his beer and pulls a nice long hit off a cigarette.
Dude#1: "Yeah, well, just be careful. We can't have our lead singer getting too busted up. You know
you're the backbone of the group."
Pyro: "Yeah, yeah. I'll be fine. Trust me. But it's time I finally speak directly to my competition."
He turns and looks into the camera.
Pyro: "Hey, XWF. Pyro here. As you all know, I will be making my debut on next week's episode of
Wednesday Warfare. And as much as I would like to showcase my talents in a singles match my first
time out, I signed up for Lethal Lottery instead and will now have to share the spot light with Hunter
Moore. Hunter, I hope you plan to put your all into this match because that's what I give every time
I walk down the ramp and step into that ring and that's what I expect from anyone who is going to be
my partner whether it be a permanent partnership or a one-off pairing like this is. Now on to Corvus
and Paulo. I'm not here to talk shit about either of you. It's not my style. Actually, I'm hoping for
a good clean match with both of you with nobody holding anything back. I want the best of both of you.
Full throttle, as I intend to give you the best of what I have to give. I'm a man of few words, so I
will let my performance do most of the talking. There's a lot of talent here in XWF and I know Corvus
contributes a lot to it. So my journey to the top won't be an easy one but that's where I will
eventually end up. The top."
Dude#2: "Hey, man, I hate to interrupt, I know this is important but we've got to be on stage in 20 minutes.
Time to go."
Pyro looks down at his watch.
Pyro: "Oh, you're right. Well, sorry to cut this promo short, but until I get my first check from XWF,
music is still paying my bills and I'd hate to get the power shut off in the winter. But again, I am
looking forward to our match next week. Keep an eye out as I'm sure you'll be hearing from me again
before then and I'll be looking forward to hearing from you too, Paulo and Corvus."
Pyro smiles and stands up walking out of frame. The lights in the room go out and you can hear a door
shutting in the background.
