As we know, Alex Shawn/David Skulley copied a story from another website and pasted it as a roleplay. It was intended to let the XWF community decide his fate. However, since it was a decidedly mixed reaction from all of those that weighed in, and it happened on my show, the decision is left in my hands. We tend to take these things on a case by case basis and try to consider all things prior to handing down a decision.
Due to the fact that:
1: When I initially questioned him on the authenticity, he lied. I already knew it wasn't his work.
2: He was pressured by the owner to come clean or face the consequences.
3: He posted 'I guess I "have" to do this...' Came off cocky and unapologetic.
4: The general feeling is mixed. Some want him gone for life, others want to forgive.
5: Being a victim of a cheater myself, I'm inclined to run these characters through a meat grinder. I'm not going to do that.
Taking all of these things into account, as well as opinions given to me in private from other members of management, my decision is as follows:
After Shove It Wildly's RP deadline tonight, Alex Shawn/David Skulley is BANNED FOR 1 MONTH.
Take this month, Alex, and think about your character. Build him up properly using your own work. Come back and impress us. Whatever you do, do NOT cheat again. This is your first, last and only chance.
To anyone currently, or in the future, considering using someone elses work, or recycling their own work... You will get caught... Maybe not right away, but you will eventually. Don't do it.

I think you made the right call in the matter, Paul. I fully support your decision. I also hope Alex Shawn/David Skulley does return in a month, with a new awareness and a want to clear his reputation.
