Times - They are a changing - Mastermind - 07-26-2014
The camera fades in to the gym of team Frodo. The camera sees Frodo, and Zoey Ryback working out for their upcoming Trios match. Their third partner Mastermind walks into the camera frame.
"Times - they are a changing. The circle of life keeps circling. What happens when Old meets New? The Old is taken out and the New replaces them. What happens when change is needed? The next ones in line take over.
"What does all this mean to the world of XWF? Azrael Erebus, Sebastian Duke, Enigma. I respect the fact that you guys have a history of championship titles between all 3 of you. I respect you all. It's like I never thought the day would come that I, Mastermind, will go up against a true champion like Azrael, a strong champion in Duke, and an enigmatic champion like Enigma. I thought it would take a long time to come up against one of you let alone 3 of you at once.
"But the facts are, you've had your time. Azrael you've had your time, you've just been dethroned by Morbid Angel, you dethroned your trios partner in Duke. Whilst Enigma you've been a extreme champion, and a united states champion, never the big title though, but I know your trios partners trust you none the less.
"It is time to let the new breed take over. You guys even though you are former champions, and are good, you are all stale. The fans they know how good you lot are, but you are yesterday's news. It's all about tomorrow today. It's all about now. It's all about change.
"Do you really have it in you to work together when apart you've been mortal enemies. What about the Leap of Faith pay per view. Have both of you forgotten what happened to one another in that. You both went to hell and back twice. Take the Leap of Faith now and say enough's enough, our time is over, yours is beginning. But you won't do that. You lot have too much pride.
"Is it my time to go up against you three? With the help from Frodo, and Zoey.. Am I ready? Yes, should I be here? Yes. Will history show I should be in esteem company. Probably not.
"I know I can trust Frodo, and Zoey, even with her beating me last Thursday. We have respect for one another. But can the same be said for you three? Will ego get in the way? Will pride get in the way? Will your resentment for one another get in the way? Will your history between the three of you get in the way? Those are the questions.
"Times they are a changing."
Mastermind smiles and walks back over to where Frodo and Zoey were working out.
