Warfare Update - Segments Required. - Archie Lawson - 02-10-2014

Hi all,

we are really lacking segments for this week's Warfare and was wondering if anyone had some time to put something together for their character? It can literally be anything and try to be creative, having something in the results can give you the opportunity to try and create a story for yourself.

Arch.

To chime in and support this idea... segments can actually be quite fun and you should look at them as a privilege because it allows your character to receive a very unique type of spotlight that week, as opposed to just saying something in the news section or in an RP. A segment is you "stopping the show" and making all eyes be on YOU.

Don't think your character gets enough recognition?

Don't think your character gets enough "heat" or hate in the fed"

Don't think your character is seen enough as a virtuous hero or savior?

DO THINGS to make those waves happen. If you're already RPing and posting news/etc stuff on the boards, then segments CAN be a major piece of the puzzle that takes your character name above and beyond the pack.

Segments are fun for us all and they help YOU when you submit them. The people who think of segments, attacks, counter attacks, etc as being a part of their ongoing strategy in this game are always the ones who get the most recognition and receive the best pushes. Think of it how guys on Raw like CM Punk (well, when he was there) and even assholes like John Cena not only perform in the big matches BUT they're always seen backstage... or in in-ring segments... or even involved in backstage assaults or rescues... etc. There's a reason for that. It puts that character IN OUR BRAINS that much more often. It's a marketing strategy of sorts. Use it. Smile

Not to mention it makes life easier for us. I personally feel a bit uncomfortable writing characters into stories without at least some idea of the direction that your character wants to go in.
