This could be an attempt to revive his status as kind of an "outsider" the way he was around the time he beat Cena for the title and was set to retire that night, yet still won it and left with the title only to return a couple weeks later with it like some kind of outsider. He was in a great position then and was getting tons of attention.
MAYBE they're even going in a remixed nWo direction? Perhaps Punk will come back in just before WM or at the Elim Chamber and won't be alone?
Fuck... I just remembered that in order for ANY of that to happen, somebody within WWE would have needed to come up with it and good ideas are beyond them. lol
If this is legit and the man really did quit, then I hope others follow because I can't think of anything WWE has done right lately and they NEED to change things up. They need to be sent a strong message from fans as well as performers. I wish I knew the "reason" for him supposedly quitting because that would probably tell us if it's real or storyline.
