TITLE TALK - Lord Raab - 07-15-2021

Hmm, the Shooting Star title could very well be used for a Cruiserweight/Light Heavyweight division belt. Thought to throw that in there as an idea to go with if you want to ditch the women division altogether.

re:TITLE TALK - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 07-15-2021

Kinda the same problem there though - people don't want to be stuck in one "division."

re:TITLE TALK - B.O.B. D - 07-15-2021

What if we re-branded the TV Title as something like the Savage Championship and almost make it as a secondary World Title type of deal? It'd almost be like a big belt for people who don't want to go Unlimited RPs to win. Seeing as how it's basically a Savage only Title, anyway, might not be a bad idea to at least brand it as such; even if you didn't go with the whole secondary World Title part.

It's always seemed like Warfare is the hardcore, Unlimited show anyway, where Savage is a bit more laxed for those of us who can't go Unlimited. I know the Uni HAS(and currently will be) defended on Savage, but it seems like a rare occurrence, at least since I've been here.

Just a thought, of course. I know we're flooded with Titles as is, but it would give each brand a top Title to compete for(without really adding an extra one) and also give people the freedom to choose which one they'd prefer to go after without having to do any sort of brand split. Also might make someone more willing to cash in on the "TV Title" as opposed to always going after the Uni

The Xtreme title perk. I think since I've been here at the end of 2012. There has only been a handful of people actually get a briefcase through the perk and the only person I know of who got two that way was Unknown Soldier in the same Title reign. It's not as easy to get one as people think it is. Even back then. The only other way people got a case was Leap Of Faith and The Lethal Lottery but I think the pass LLs they got rid of that and its only been LOF but I could be wrong lol. Ive been here for so long
Id don't remember every case lol won

TBH I don't actually like it either despite being "okay" at two of them.

re:TITLE TALK - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 07-16-2021

Honestly I just prefer having a neat unique name for the titles rather than "Warfare" or "Savage" - it feels lazy. With Anarchy it was sort of the other way around, where the title was first and then the show was sorta named after it, I guess? IDK it felt a little different.

My current leaning is toward Warfare having a more "worldwide" title (this is where the Transatlantic idea sprung from, god dammit Gator) and Savage being North American.

I actually dig the NXT North American Title and figure we could use that for Savage maybe since it looks different enough from the standard. Since the old eagle belt is popular we could do that for Warfare - it still even has some ties to Hart so that connection can be there just not in name.

Agree? Disagree?

I'm also not in favor of just naming the belts after the shows. It just doesn't carry the same sense of prestige to me.

Realistically, you could always go with a name like North-Atlantic Championship or resurrect the Intercontinental Championship if you're really stumped on the replacement for the Hart.

re:TITLE TALK - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 07-16-2021

North Atlantic could work, since we could argue that includes the UK and Europe somewhat. Theo also suggested Supercontinental.

I don't like "intercontinental" because that's just a WWE term. Just like I wouldn't do a Mid-South Title or anything else that's specifically branded that way.

TITLE TALK - Theo Pryce - 07-16-2021

Supercontinental ftw

TITLE TALK - Dolly Waters - 07-16-2021

Supercontinental is a must

Edit:

Then again it kinda sounds like the motel 8 breakfast

TITLE TALK - Ned Kaye - 07-16-2021

Supercontinental is just a sidetrack for the real continent related title name: The Pangaea Championship. /s

In all seriousness, I like Supercontinental and would be willing to vote for it.

I love the Supercontinental name. Sounds powerful and strong

TITLE TALK - Ned Kaye - 07-16-2021

Super's not good enough? Sounds too much like breakfast? Go further! Hypercontinental, Ultracontinental, Multicontinental, Interoceanic! We can find something that doesn't sound like a motel plate of eggs!

Actuallyyyyyyyy that's how I got there. When the Transcontinental name got thrown around and then summarily shit on by Gator my next thought was Pangea, so I looked it up to see what some synonyms might be and bam, Supercontinental.

And the more I think of it I like the idea of a

North American Title
Supercontinental Title
Universal Title
If we had a World Title that would make it even better imo.

re:TITLE TALK - Mr. Oz - 07-16-2021

I say we should name the Hart title the Übermensch Title.

re:TITLE TALK - Centurion - 07-16-2021

Look, I know it was debuted as a "storyline title", but just hear me out for a second. What if...

TITLE TALK - Charlie Nickles - 07-16-2021

Is the North American title only going to be defended in North America? If not, what's special about it?

I think it'd be funny if in character Lane and/or Pryce named one of the belts after themselves.

TITLE TALK - Ned Kaye - 07-16-2021

Renaming the Hart Championship initially to the Pryce Championship would make for nuclear heat.

I'm agreeable. Titles have needed a facelift for a long while. Might as well overhaul everything about them.

re:TITLE TALK - "Loverboy" Vinnie Lane - 07-16-2021

Basically we'd mostly keep Savage in North America while Warfare toured the world.

I do like the name Pangea but I am a sucker for prehistoric stuff like dinosaurs lol.

re:TITLE TALK - Prof. Bobby Bourbon - 07-16-2021

Just my two cents, but a hart is an adult male deer, so while it makes absolutely zero sense now, we could change the Hart Title to something related to a stag or something. I dunno, like historically, back in the 1980's the winner would also be presented with venison, or in the 1950's it was just an antlered head dress, and when it was incepted in 1765 it was actually won when men fought bucks hand to hand. Give it some outrageous backstory, like how when Tony Schiavone used to hype the WCW Big Gold Belt by saying Abraham Lincoln held it. It's a stretch, but the name is kinda cool and it rolls off the tongue. I had an easier time reinventing the history than making up a new title to replace it.

[Image: green-big-buck-deer-hunting_1_f55d8e6a58...0a240e.jpg]

There's also way too many images of championship belts with deer on them.

I am against Intercontinental since it's a take on an existing named belt. Trans-Atlantic champion sounds more unique. If we're going a more grounded, no insanity match style for the Hart, clean matches come to mind, but a Purity Championship sounds bad.
