|-| There’s an old song that proclaims “you can’t always get what you want”. But, in the case of XWF Superstar Shawn Steele, he’s gotten what he wanted. This Monday night, August Twelfth, the main event on Monday Night Madness, Shawn Steele is going to get just what he’s been asking for. A match, one on one, with a member of The Connection. The last we saw of Shawn Steele, he was on his way to Madness General Manager Paul Heyman’s office after getting his head smashed in with a led pipe by Andrew Aldway and now he’s in this week’s main event, against Aldway, in a Last Man Standing match. |-|

We begin with a black screen, the only sound that of a prolonged, intentionally drawn out 'slow clap’. As the scene begins to slowly fade up, the first thing we see are a pair of large hands, slowly clapping together. The shot begins panning out slowly, finally revealing that the clapping hands belong to Shawn Steele.

Shawn Steele: Congratulations, Andrew. You’ve got to be the single most repetitive superstar in the history of the X-treme Wrestling Federation. More muscles than brains? I-Evertrust has more intelligence in his pinky finger than I do in my entire body? A dense twit? Body of a gorilla and the memory of a goldfish? Are you really that fucking stupid Aldway? Can’t come up with anything original? Just going to keep repeating the same cliche lines over and over again? The same lines that everyone from John Austin to Swift Ion has used? And you call me stupid. You’re a broken fucking record Aldway. With you, it’s the same shit every day. Just keep right on running your mouth about how smart you are, chap, and we’ll see how far that gets you come Madness.

Rolling his eyes in disgust, Steele drops his arms to his sides before continuing.

Shawn Steele: Seeing as how we’ve already established how you’re a fucking moron, let me explain to you just all the ways you’re wrong about me. About yourself. About our situation. It seems to me that you still haven’t figured out why your head was cracked with a crowbar all those weeks ago. When I, somehow, cost you the United States Championship. Why I came after you. Of all the members of The Connection, why on earth would I choose Andrew Aldway to attack? Well that’s not a question for me to answer, Andrew. That’s a question that should be directed at John Austin. The very same John Austin that came down to the ring that fateful Monday night. The very same John Austin that brought with him ...

Smirking slightly, Steele leans to his right as he outstretches his arm before bringing it back into the picture, holding up the same crowbar that he used to cost Andrew Aldway his match against I-Evertrust in the European Championship Number One Contender tournament.

Shawn Steele: The very same John Austin who brought this very same crowbar to the ring. The very same John Austin who attacked Evertrust with this crowbar and tried to hand you a victory that you hadn’t .. couldn’t earn. The very same John Austin who then tucked his tail and bailed out of The Connection. And just why do you think he did that, Andrew? Why did John Austin leave The Connection, just after costing you your chance at becoming the XWF European Champion? Maybe your problem shouldn’t be with me after all...

Leaning out of the picture again slightly, Steele lays the crowbar back down before turning his attention back to the camera.

Shawn Steele: And while we’re on the topic of the Number One Contender to that European Championship .. let me make one thing perfectly clear about Evertrust. I don’t give a shit about him. I didn’t do what I did in order to help him. I did what I did to hurt The Connection. And clearly it worked. But you’re the one who’s stupid enough to piss off the ring people. Myself being one, and Evertrust is clearly another. And should he want to come down to the ring on Monday night and pick apart whatever I’ve felt like leaving of you .. fine by me. Because as far as I’m concerned, after this Monday night, I’m done with you Aldway. My goal was to destroy The Connection. To make sure that they were no more. And look at your little business venture now. Ricky Desmond.. gone. Nightmare.. left for greener pastures. John Austin.. ran like a little bitch because he couldn’t own up to his mistakes. And Andrew Morrison? Well, Morrison made the mistake of requesting a match with me inside of a steel cage at the Mega Madness show. So come August Twentieth .. well after Madness in eight days the X-treme Wrestling Federation won’t have to worry about Andrew Morrison any longer.

Steele reaches back with his left hand, slowly running his fingertips along the same spot where Andrew Aldway hit him in the back of the head with the led pipe.

Shawn Steele: But I’ll give you one thing Andrew. You got one right. Just one, but that’s a start. You said that you realize that sometimes people just won’t stay down. And I’m one of those people. I won’t stay down Aldway. Not ever. Your handiwork may have resulted in another fourteen staples in my head, but it didn’t keep me down last time and it’s sure as fuck not going to keep me down this time. But you Andrew ..

Reaching down again, Steele picks up the crowbar and again brings it in front of the camera.

Shawn Steele: You won’t be getting back up. So you can bring your little pipe and I’ll bring Austin’s crowbar. And come Monday night at Madness, I’m going to be the only man left standing. I’ll see you in Philadelphia. You’d better make sure your health insurance is up to date. You’re gonna need it.

Smirking slightly again, Steele spins the crowbar in his hands as the scene begins fading away.
