Backstory/Important Character Details:

In 2013, after discovering that he was the long-lost nephew of HWA legend Butch Parker, at just 16 years old, Sean Parker wanted the chance to prove to his late father, his uncle’s older brother, that he could be as good as him. He wanted desperately to prove he could succeed in the business that made his family a household name in professional wrestling.

After revealing he was Butch’s nephew, Sean begged his uncle to train him as a wrestler, but he initially refused. However, Sean was tricked into signing a HWA talent contract by his Uncle Butch’s arch-rival at the time, AC James. James took advantage of Sean’s inexperience, both in and out of the ring, which forced Butch to take his nephew under his wing and give him a wrestling baptism of fire. Unfortunately, only months into his career, Sean suffered a catastrophic injury, leaving him temporarily paralyzed. Sean was sure his wrestling career was over before it had really started.

He would spend the next few years confined to a wheelchair until he was asked to take part in a groundbreaking new stem cell procedure as well as a new innovative neurosurgery to fix the broken vertebrae in his spine. After a 36-hour surgery and months of rehabilitation, Sean not only regained his ability to walk and a normal life, he was able to return to the ring and pick his wrestling career up from where he left off.

However Sean wouldn’t be able to showcase his abilities to the wrestling world. In 2016, not long after Sean’s uncle and his wife assumed ownership of HWA, due to its violent and controversial content, they lost their network deal and sponsorships, forcing them to close their doors and build back up as a lowly indy fed, their only outlet being a YouTube channel.

In January 2023, after sealing a partnership deal with CBS, HWA relaunched which seen the arrival of a lot of old faces that left. Sean jumped at the opportunity to prove his worth. However, with HWA now back on network television combined with his injury history and high-risk, daredevil style of wrestling, Sean’s uncle couldn’t risk signing him to a renewed talent contract that covered him for insurance. Heartbroken, Sean felt he was being held back, overly-protected and wasn’t willing to sit in the shadows or change the style he’d made a name for himself using. And so, Sean’s tenure in the only wrestling company he’d ever known came to an abrupt end. Sean is now bouncing from promotion to promotion, going from strength to strength, developing a big fanbase thanks to his tenacity and willingness to prove his doubters wrong. He desperately ean wants to prove he has what it takes to be a real main event star and a World Champion.

Outside the ring, Sean is a big gamer too, often streaming on Twitch and is a big fan of retro gaming. This has led to him incorporating his love for video games into his moveset and his ring attire.

Strengths: Tenacity, courage, fearlessness, never gives up, big heart.

Weaknesses: his desire to take high risks and test his limits can sometimes be a detriment. He has a fiery temper too and can sometimes let his emotions get the better of him.

Entrance Theme Music (Provide YouTube link as well as name and version): “Ken’s Theme” by ToxicxEternity
Code:
https://youtu.be/4LDZINKL3ow

Ring Entrance (PLEASE write one out for use in match/show writing): “Ken’s Theme [Metal Cover]” by ToxicxEternity starts to play throughout the arena. As the song plays its slow, building intro, Sean Parker appears on the stage in a hooded waistcoat. He goes down on one knee, his head low as sparks fill the stage area. When the song explodes into life, Sean leaps to his feet, his arms outstretched and his hood falls back behind him. Sean walks confidently to the ring, running as he gets ringside and slides effortlessly under the bottom rope. He takes off his waistcoat, tossing it into the crowd before he climbs up one of the turnbuckles and fist pumps before doing a backflip back down as his music fades out.

In-Ring Style (Technician? High Flyer?): High-Flyer/Technical/Striker - In the ring, Sean is fearless. He thrives on taking risks and defying gravity with breathtaking aerial manoeuvers and he possesses a high ring IQ that affords him a mastery of technical, mat-based wrestling. With a first Dan black belt in Shotokan Karate, Sean is an extremely proficient striker too, capable of lightning-fast punch and kick combinations. This adds a very unpredictable element to an already-diverse skill set, making Sean a formidable force inside the squared circle.

He’ll also often do a running leap over the turnbuckle from inside the ring to the outside and execute a Sky Twister Press.

Additional Notes (What are some things that they would ALWAYS do? Or would NEVER do?): Sean never cheats and although he doesn’t like to lose, he’s gracious in defeat. Unless he’s been a really hard fought match or he’s a won a championship, he doesn’t tend to over celebrate either.
