Act 2: Nobody Wins

The scene opens up to Luca and Katrina sitting in a patch of grass that's directly by a railroad track. His eyes intently locked upon the track for some unknown reason. A quick 360 of the camera shows that he is completely alone here, the occasional car passing by the two, lighting the night sky.

"So, to whom did I do the displeasure of having Nightmare come after me personally? I thought he was going to go through Heyman to get to me personally, you know, just like his good friend Sebastian Duke does with his Messenger. Going after someone else to get to their target. Just like Sabby did with , I assumed you'd do with Heyman, or again, or maybe even our King. Y'know, because you seem so fixated on him.

I mean seriously, can we just call it an addiction and get you some professional help for your problems. Trust me, I, actually have never been to an intervention before. That's surprising...

No matter! For you can watch and listen all you want to everything I say and do, maybe it'll give you a way to actually be interesting for once in your fucking life! You can observe every little part of my day for evidence against me, so how about I ask you about your little fun stories.

Why should I care about your rendition of the life of this Ronnie O'Rourke guy anyway?

In fact, why should I listen to anything that falls out of your mouth? It's all a bunch of obvious bullshit. Seriously, do you even listen to yourself speak at all?

In fact, allow me to just bring up all of your fucking points at once and smash them into little pieces to commemorate what your condition will be on Tuesday morning, shall I?"

Katrina pulls out a notepad and pencil, and hands both to Luca. He places the pad on the ground and leans over it, dragging the pencil across the paper. Looking back up, he shows the first point Nightmare made that he's going to demolish.

"Your first point?

That I'm a disgusting, despicable human being.

Haven't I said that already? No seriously, I'm pretty sure I say that every week just to even further mock my opponents, because they can't even beat a terrible person! My fucking god, do you even pay attention to anything you supposedly always watch and listen?

Try harder, please.

Because that was honestly embarrassing.

Just like you are always, but that's beside the point.

Your second point?

That I am indeed scared of you. Nah, I got over my pseudo fear if you can even call it that when I saw just how ridiculous you really are. However, since you're too stupid to see just how much of a moron you are, allow me to point out the obvious here once more!

You're a big, poetic oaf whose only cause for being here is beating John Madison.

That's it.

That's all you've told us.

Why?

That's what I want to know.

Why do you give a fuck?

If you're such a big deal or something, why do you need to come here and overthrow Maddy? Or...

Maybe it's because under all that shit, you're just a giant fucking phony. A ruse! A hoax! That's all I'm seeing.

You wanna beat the King, you're glad you have to face his jester?

How much of a joke will you be after you lose?

That's right, I said it.

You're going to lose.

Point three?

You know about all I've done?

Das cool, how about you make me the focus of one of your little short stories then?

I mean it would definitely balance out the boring drivel you spew out like a broken water main. While I'm on the subject, you know all there is to know about me? The guns, the drugs, the murders?

That's it?

Sigh, that entire promo you cut was so bad, I literally just said the word sigh to constitute a sigh. That isn't anywhere near all the things I've done that are illegal or generally despicable. Come on, maybe bring up the baseball bats I've taken to people's kneecaps.

Come on.

This is way too easy."

The scene fades out to an episode of some shitty reality show, which manages to be more enthralling than Nightmare's spiels.
