At a small indie charity house show in downtown LA everyone is packed into a small night club. From sweaty teens, to the "vocal males" cheering on the antihero, to the woman feverishly screaming, they were all at this venue for one purpose. To see former XCW now XWF superstar Griffin, their Griffin, the hometown hero. They had been waiting hours as jobbers and indie stars wrestled, the whole time everyone waited for the main event to finally arrive. As they realize how late it's gotten the crowd gets excited knowing the main event is coming. Suddenly the lights go out in the arena. The blanket of darkness is accompanied by the roar of the crowd, not knowing what would happen, but that it would be incredible. All of a sudden a spotlight is cast down onto the entrance where a shadowy figure cloaked in darkness is seen. "White Rabbit" by Egypt Central plays and the figure throws off the robe. The crowd goes insane as it is revealed to be Griffin, with a pair of pitch black eagle wings attached to his back and a lion tail swishing behind him. He gets down on all fours and sprints to the ring as fans as all ages attempt to touch his wings as he goes by. Soon Chris Storm is in the ring with him as the lights since again go dark. When they come back on Griffin is now suspended in the air, being held aloft by near invisible wires. XCW chants break out throughout the crowd as Griffin breathes in the energy of the audience.

"Hello LA!" Griffin shouted as everyone looked on in awe. "Some of you may be wondering why I'm looking like a beast tonight, well more than usual. A friend of mine called me about a house show XWF is doing tonight. Apparently Cain is there and called me out tonight. He claims that I'm not a true Griffin." At this the crowd begins to boo, feeling hurt that anyone would say that about their hometown hero. "He claims I'm not majestic and legendary. So I figured tonight I'd come out here and prove how wrong he is, I figured I'd come out here in all my majesty." The crowd began to chant XCW again as they cheered for Griffin.

"I may not be the innovator of Murder, or crown prince of darkness or whatever Cain is calling himself these days. But I am an entertainer. I love to put on the best damn show I can, to give the fans something that they will remember. If you're watching Cain, you'll see what I mean, this, these fans, is what makes me legendary. The memories they take away from here tonight, the feelings of joy, anguish, excitement, hatred, loyalty. That is something truly magical, more so than any special effects wings, or whatever it is you do, whether you truly kill people or not it doesn't matter. What does matter is the thrill of the match. That's why I wrestle Cain, that's why I'm not scared of you, because if I can make these people feel something, then I don't care what you do to me. I'm not scared of you Cain because I'm not afraid to die, if I die doing something that I love."

Griffin unhooked from the wings and tail and gets down as the crowd cheers his name so loud that no one even notices his opponent entering the arena. The man, David Cane, enters the ring and the ref rings the bell, although no one heard it over the deafening roar that was the crowd.

Griffin and David locked up and Griffin flipped him over onto the ground. He began stomping as the crowd cheered him on. On the fifth stomp David rolled out of the way and took out Griffin's leg. The crowd booed as David went for a pin, but cheered when it was broken up at one. Griffin got up and delivered a drop kick to David before rolling out of the ring and grabbing a chair, Griffin looked at the chair, then David, then the ring post. He smiled as the crowd knew what was coming next and he climbed back in the ring, unfolded the chair, and placed it upside down on the turnbuckle. Griffin went over to David and Irish whipped him face first into the chair for the chair-e on top. The crowd went nuts as Griffin picked David up and put him in the double Chicken wing, and began backing to the ropes and climbing up them. Once he got the third rope he called out "OREO!!!" And flipped over David, slamming him face first into the mat. The crowd lost is as Griffin pinned David and the ref began the count. 1...2...3, Griffin stood up in victory and basked in the sound of the crowd. He picked the mic up again and addressed the camera filming for the fed's website.

"This Cain, this is what I live for, and I'm not afraid to die for it."
