When you last saw a transmission released from the Sebastian Duke camp, it was for Leap of Faith and the highly anticipated rematch with Azrael Erebus. In that transmission, on those preceding it, Sebastian Duke was imprisoned and charged with fourteen counts of murder in the first degree.

Duke's entourage was given the task of finding a way to get him out. Jacob, Sebastian Dukes faithful Messenger, strong armed the most highly respected judge in Connecticut. Forcing him to deal with the Duke's or risk losing his career aspiration to become Governor of the state.

It wasn't until the final days before the trial hearing was set to begin, that Judge Williams handed over the search warrant which lead to Sebastian Duke's arrest. Matthew, the Compounds tech wiz, was given the task of creating an exact replica of the search warrant that was signed by a judge and the detective investigating the Compound and the crimes perpetrated. Only omitting a signature in order to nullify the warrant. Without a legitimate search warrant, everything investigators found is inadmissible in court. That means that without new evidence and testimony, the King of Darkness will be free of any further investigation.

This all came about when Sebastian Duke's final potential victim escaped his clutches and went to the police. The Hill family is the final piece of the puzzle. By now you know Sebastian Duke is a free man. What you don't know, is how. In the following transmission, you'll learn it all.

Wednesday, June 18, 2014 – 11:52 AM EST – The Hill Residence - Old Saybrook, Connecticut

Today is the big day. In just a little bit, we'll find out if Judge Williams is a man of his word. It took Matthew until the very last possible second to get the forged warrant just right. Down to every last detail the warrant was authentic, except for the fact that now, it was missing the second most important signature of the two required. The one for the investigating detective.

That warrant with its missing signature gets Sebastian Duke out of jail and the case thrown out, but it doesn't move the spotlight away from him. In the eyes of the local public, he's already guilty. There's one thing that could put him back in jail and ultimately in prison for life, that is Mister and Missus Hill. See, they've not yet broken their silence after their chance meeting with the King of Darkness. If the case is thrown out and then choose to speak out, then Sebastian is done for.

JACOB, THE MESSENGER: “We can't let that happen, now can we?”

I look over at the Hills. Their muffled screams warm my heart. They sit within a couple of cheap steel chairs, chained to the legs. I turn my head back toward the 32 inch RCA console television.

JACOB, THE MESSENGER: “You really should upgrade your television. The color is off, the picture flickers. It's 2014 for crying out loud.”

More muffled screams as I continue watching channel 3. The news will be coming on soon. With it, as they've already told me, live coverage of the Duke hearing. Little do they know, they'll be announcing to all of Connecticut that the Saybrook killer is being freed on a technicality.

JACOB, THE MESSENGER: “You know, I'm trying to figure out whether to let you watch the upcoming news broadcast, or if I should end you now.”

Muffled screams and sobbing.

Finding the Hills was much easier than I ever expected. I had Matthew look into the databases to see if any reports had been filed. Of course, he couldn't break into the computers with the local or state police. As he continued to try though, I took a drive into Old Saybrook. I saw the busted up Dodge Magnum in a driveway and found my answer within just a few minutes. Old Saybrook is not a very large town.

Alas, the opening of the news at noon with your anchor, Kara Sundlun.

KARA SUNDLUN: “Good afternoon Connecticut, this is Channel 3 Eye Witness News at Noon and our top story is the continuing story of Old Saybrook resident and professional wrestler, Sebastian Duke accused of fourteen counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Right now, we go to Matt McFarland who is standing outside the Hartford Courthouse. Matt?”

MATT McFARLAND: “Kara, something major has happened here at the courthouse. I can tell you that the pretrial hearing commenced just about a half hour ago and it ended extremely quickly. I have not yet been told what went down but I did see various members of the fourteen families coming out looking distraught. Many law enforcement officials exited the building looking very upset and none of them were willing to talk to me.”

Its at this very second, one of the Tahoe's pull up along the curb. I can see Matthew behind the wheel. Up on the steps of the courthouse, I can see Asmodeus exit the doors. Behind him, the King of Darkness.

MATT McFARLAND: “Holy mother of God! He's free!”

Yes, Mr. McFarland, the Saybrook killer is free.

MATT McFARLAND: “Mister Duke! Can you tell us what happened!?”

Its the elder Duke that speaks.

FATHER ASMODEUS, THE HIGH PRIEST: “As you can see, Mr. McFarland, my son is free.”

MATT McFARLAND: “Well, word was that the state had a mountain of evidence against Sebastian Duke.”

FATHER ASMODEUS, THE HIGH PRIEST: “Yes, they did and it was all obtained illegally.”

MATT McFARLAND: “Can you explain that?”

FATHER ASMODEUS, THE HIGH PRIEST: “The search warrant was illegal. It was not properly signed, therefore every piece of evidence they did have was, and at this stage, will forever be inadmissible in court.”

MATT McFARLAND: “I know he is your son, Mr. Duke, but don't you see this as a tragic miscarriage of justice?”

FATHER ASMODEUS, THE HIGH PRIEST: “No, I do not, Mr. McFarland. Quite the contrary, actually. I see this as the criminal justice system at its very best. There are laws that people must follow. Suspects have rights, too. An illegal search and seizure was perpetrated by the Connecticut State Police on my property. Property that is hallowed ground, Mr. McFarland.

“I'd suggest that if you were in my position, and things were taken illegally from your home, with the intent to use them against you, or someone close to you within your own family, that perhaps you would not see this is a tragic miscarriage of justice.

“Many, in fact most, may disagree but Judge Williams made the right call. The only call, in fact. The only call he could have legally made. His call to dismiss this case was the right one and one that will now be the case every one turns to for 'by the book' procedures.”

MATT McFARLAND: “What's to stop them from securing a new search warrant to look into your home again?”

FATHER ASMODEUS, THE HIGH PRIEST: “Are you naturally dense? Or do you just play a moron in front of a camera? It's called Double Jeopardy. Everything they have as far as evidence goes, no longer exists. They'd have to find new reason, and new evidence in order to obtain a new warrant.

“None of it matters though, Mr. McFarland. The state police have been wasting their time. Sebastian Duke is innocent on all charges.”

Asmodeus uses his cane to push past the reporter. The towering presence that is Sebastian Duke descends the stairs behind him. The Hills can not take their eyes off of the television screen.

JACOB, THE MESSENGER: “That much is obvious. That man is obviously innocent. If he was guilty, do you really think I'd be standing here right now, hanging out with you fine people?

“Innocent in the eyes of justice, anyway.”

The usual muffled cries and screams.

JACOB, THE MESSENGER: “Actually, no. He's very much guilty. On every count. Plus hundreds more that no one even knows about. You see, he's stalked the streets of Old Saybrook at night, looking to extract his own brand of revenge. He slipped up when it came to you two.

“As you can plainly see, he's free to go. Since you are the only ones left alive that could identify him, I'm left with the unenviable task of ending the possibility that you may make disparaging statements about His Highness to the authorities in the inevitable new investigation that will certainly commence.

“If the two of you are no longer living, then I think Sebastian Duke may be out of harms way for good.”

The Hills and I watch as Father Asmodeus and his son, my brother, Sebastian Duke, your King of fucking Darkness both step into the black Chevy Tahoe. As the Tahoe rolls away from the courthouse, I switch off the television.

JACOB, THE MESSENGER: “It pains me, Mr. and Mrs. Hill, that what you've just witnessed is the very last television broadcast you'll ever see.”

The Hills begin sobbing. Muffled of course, due to the multiple layers of duct tape wrapped around their heads.

JACOB, THE MESSENGER: “More accurately, it doesn't hurt me at all. It will hurt you though. In fact, it'll hurt a great deal. But fear not, Hills, for as much as it will hurt, it will all be over soon. The investigation. The murders. And of course, your lives.

“Your lives will end but you mustn't feel it is in vain. At the end of the day, this is the absolute end. I do believe he's gotten his aggression out. If he hadn't...”

I stand directly in front of them. Two five gallon gas can in my hand. They stare up at me, their eyes red and soaked with tears. I set one can down and use my free hand to grab the bottom of the can remaining in my hand.

JACOB, THE MESSENGER: “If he hadn't, I assure you, you never would have gotten free of him.”

I pour the gasoline over the Hills as they once again begin to scream their muffled screams. To sob their muffled sobs. To fear their ultimate demise.

I pull out a pack of Camel Wides and place one in my mouth before tossing the empty can against the wall, inadvertently smashing a family portrait, and lifting the other can, emptying its contents around the inside perimeter of the residence. Once I return to the gasoline soaked Hills, I retrieve my Zippo from my pocket and light my cigarette without extinguishing the lighter.

JACOB, THE MESSENGER: “I would ask you not to fear, not to scream. But the irony here is, that I fear that's not possible. That in mind, it is now time for me to bid you adieu. It's been a pleasure for me to complete the task my leader started. Good day.”

I drop my lit lighter to the floor and watch as the Hills engulf in flames. I listen to their screams and watch as the flames catch the gasoline trail and the walls around the home begin to catch fire. I open a door inside the Hills kitchen and descend to the basement. Within seconds, I escape the home as things begin to crash to the burning floor inside the home.

For the Hills, it is their final end.

For me, its back to the Compound.

For your King of Darkness who is currently en route to the Compound, he's free to once again commence his reign of terror on the Xtreme Wrestling Federation. Free to once again dominate his playground.

Fade to Darkness.
