Some users have experienced a loss of data on their avatars and profile pics. If you are somebody who signed up within the last couple months OR you have changed either of those pics in the last couple months, your pic might be broken/missing and need to be updated by you.
SOME of you may not yet realize your pics are missing until you go to a page with your avatar on it and manually hit the refresh button on your browser (usually F5 on your keyboard). This "forces" your browser to load the most recent version of a picture instead of "remembering" what it was supposed to look like.
If you refresh and see your avatar is gone, or just looks like a broken image, go into your settings and upload it again.
This was a one time issue for avatars and profile pics, and most people went unaffected. Sorry about that.
