Hi Everyone,

Tomorrow morning at approximately 7am EST/4am PST the boars will be taken off line as we upgrade our database to something more current.

What does this mean exactly?

We are scheduling this to occur AFTER the Warfare RP soft deadline occurs so anything you post before 4am PST should be fine once we reactivate the boards. However, I would recommend saving all of the rps you plan on posting tonight as well as any drafts you have off site just in case something unpredictable happens as is sometimes the case. Also save yourself through hassle and just don't post anything after the Warfare deadline just to be safe.

The downtime will be a few hours so thanks in advance for your patience.

When the site does come back up it will look a little different. Mostly the same but a little different. We have been testing all of the features for months so we should have caught everything but if we missed something, or if you notice something off let me or Lane know and we will get it fixed.

If you are wondering why we are upgrading the boards when they appear to be working fine it's really simple, because they are old (this version came out in 2013 and was no longer supported by php in October of 2015 so it's really old) and as time goes on things break and when they break we aren't able to fix all the things because the plug ins are outdated. This upgraded version(the most current version)will allow for newer better plug ins as well as recreated versions of most of the old ones with some minor tweaks as well as making the site more secure overall.

So yeah that's the 4-1-1 on what's going down. Hopefully this will be as smooth as possible but as always thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
