The sounds of someone switching channels on the radio is heard, must be an old ass car because who flips through channels now-a-days? Anyway, as they do, different songs come on…

Don’t call it a comeback, I’ve been here for… *switch*

Forget the hearse, cause I’ll never die... ” *switch*

Been waiting for this for a while now, paying my dues to the dirt..” *switch*

Give ‘em hell, turn their heads…” *switch*

What are you afraid of, and what are you made of?” *switch*

When you fall, stand up. When you break, stand tough...”*switch*

So don't give up, don't look down, cause your time is gonna come around...”*switch*

Cause when push comes to shove, you taste what you’re made of... ” *switch*

Just never give up...” *switch*

The last switch leads to white noise; ran out of stations I guess… again, how old is this car? A door is heard opened and then slammed shut, and when it does, our scene opens at nighttime to reveal a 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible, mint green in color, with the white top down, parked at the edge of a cliff which overlooks the beautiful(?) city of Portland, Oregon.

Xavier Lux, dressed in all black boots, jeans, CCPE t-shirt with a light windbreaker on top of it, walks towards the front of the classic ride and leans against it, pulling out a pair of binoculars and using them to look around.

There it is, the Moda Center, the place where I’ll face “The Casino Kid” Justin York in my big return to Saturday Night Savage… It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Almost three months since I last wrestled for this brand, in that three-way match against Alex Vega and Jenny Myst, a match which I won but it seems that only helped Jenny as she went on to win the TV title, twice now, while I, well, lost a big pay-per-view match against another rookie ~ who also won the TV title by the way in the time that I’ve been gone ~ and then, I broke down, mentally… took me a while to get myself back together and then decided to go hang out at Anarchy for a few weeks… Had three solid matches, found the Pele in me, went 3-1, and I say three because my debut was ruined by a big fat idiot ogre of a man, but again, other three matches, solid. I however, did not win the bloody pigeons, and that breaks my heart, though not as much as not winning that sweet-sweet $50 gift card, but I digress.

He puts down the binoculars and takes a deep breath, releasing it as he then throws them inside a gym bag that is sitting on the floor. He reaches into the pocket of his jacket and pulls out a mini bottle of Kraken’s black spiced rum, popping it open he drinks it fully before tossing the empty bottle in the same bag.

So here I am, back at it again, hoping to make it 3 wins in a row, or 4 if you count my last Savage outing and if I happen to accomplish that, I’m hoping that GMs finally give me a crack at either the Anarchy or TV championships… But if I need to gain their trust a little more after what happened post the Leap of Faith pay-per-view, then that’s fine, I understand. I will just keep raising the ante, putting all my chips in, and hoping it pays off. What do you think Kid York? Good casino reference to segue into talking about our match? I think I got it in Just-in time. Okay I’ll stop.

Looks like while my last three-way match went very well for me, you weren’t able to win yours against Lexi Gold and Little Miss Vega. You were so close too, but I guess it was Lexi’s night, but don’t feel bad homie, most nights are Lexi’s nights. She is that good. The question then becomes though, how good are you kid? I’m really looking forward to finding out how I measure up against another XWF rookie, mainly because my track record hasn’t been that great against them though I did take care of that witch Daniela pretty well. But seriously, how good? I mean you talk a big game, I happened to catch your last promo and man how do you fit that big of a mouth inside of that little body of yours? I mean your big mouth is only outdone by that big ego you carry around, and I’m not talking about your wife, yikes. But you out there, calling everyone out, claiming to be head and shoulders above the rest; veterans and newcomers alike and think that just because you did a little something-something in another fed that you are you going to do something here in XWF?

How that three-way go again?

Reality check, right? Maybe, maybe not, again your ego is big, and you will probably just brush that loss off and continue to carry yourself like God’s gift to wrestling. In this sense, you remind me a little of me. No, not the big ass mouth and ego, but in that I thought that what I had done somewhere else would mean something here in this promotion. If you check out my signature, you’ll see all my past accomplishments. At first, I had listed them there to show everyone here that I meant business, that I am somebody and that I can do things… But I have done nothing but struggle in the big matches in XWF, but instead of taking that signature down I have left it up to remind myself daily that the past is the past, and in the wrestling world, it is all about what have you done lately? What are you doing right now, in this moment, that is making everyone take notice, that is making everyone say ‘hey, watch out for that guy, he’s the real deal.’ ‘Hey, that guy right there, he’s about to win gold soon, watch.’ I thought I was that guy but haven’t been and I see you going down the same path but that is about where you and I begin to defer, because I am a humble man that is willing to admit when I am not that good and when I need to put in the work. Sure, I may lose my shit every now and then but who doesn’t? We all make mistakes and what matters is that we learn from them and become better. So, what say you kid? You took that loss, now what are you going to do about it? Keep running your mouth and have it write another check your skills can’t cash? Or will you look at me as the real threat that I am and give me the real fight that I am looking for. The match I need to finally get the XWF officials no notice me and give a shot at some gold… I know you want that as well, so if we want some, then come get some right? I’m coming for the whole damn thing…

He reaches into his bag and pulls out a sniper rifle, checks that is loaded, removes the safe and then starts to bring it up but stops halfway.

Don’t worry Casino Kid, this is not for you; I’m using it as a prop as I segue into today’s story. You see, this weapon right here used to belong to my father, Scorpion. A long time ago, he was a sniper for the military, once they were done with him, he became a hired assassin who built up quite a track record with this baby right here. Now I wish I could tell you that he left me this weapon as part of an inheritance, but that is sadly not the case. He was going to use this to kill me actually. Really long story, short version available on my bio but I don’t want to bore you with my daddy issues, I know you got the attention span of a teacup chihuahua in heat… But I bring it up, again, as a segue prop, because a long time ago, I was being hunted by my pops with this weapon… But after what happened just a few months ago, I have now become the hunter… No, not of my father, he’s dead and buried… The man I’m hunting, is the man that I hold a tag team championship with, and the man that tried to bury me alive with my pops, “The Prince of Pain” Marcus Ka’Derrion…

For those of that don’t know Marcus, we already covered who he is and his relationship with Xavier on his promos for the Leap of Faith Pay-Per-View, so feel free to watch part I here to catch up.

We see Xavier’s former tag team partner walking down the streets of the busy downtown Miami area, wearing a classy and expensive looking navy suit, with a white dress shirt and silver tie, black shoes complete the ensemble. His long curly hair is tied back into a ponytail, his goatee perfectly trimmed as always, a big smile on his face; this man is a winner and he knows it. He is carrying a silver briefcase and walking with a purpose as he heads for a parked limousine; the driver is standing by the door, waiting for him. He opens the door and Marcus then hands him the briefcase.

Another successful merger I take it Mr. Ka’Derrion?

You know it Peter, made them an offer they couldn’t refuse.

You always do.

Marcus gets inside the limo as Peter the driver closes the door, he then walks around getting in himself and shortly after the limo pulls away. Inside the Limo, Marcus is pouring himself a glass of champagne when his cell phone rings. He rolls eyes, obviously hating his moment getting ruined, but he has a few phones and if this one rings, he has to answer it. He puts the champagne and glass down and then takes out his phone to answer, he sees who it is and his lips curl inwards. He waits another ring or two before finally answering.

Don’t say it…

Sir, we have a problem.

I SAID DON’T DUCKING SAY IT!

What happened?!

They found him an dug him out before he -.

How?!

We can only guess he put a tracker somewhere in his body because he knew that well, uh…

What?!

That you couldn’t be trusted sir.

And where were these great deducing skills of yours when we took him in?!

Sorry sir. We tried to go back but there were cops and firefighters, ambulances, the whole nine sir. But if you want, we will go and try to finish the job before he tries to retaliate.

Retaliate? Please, he knows he can’t touch me. Nah, we’re just going to end things here.

But sir-

It’s done you hear me? He left me behind, I buried him alive, he survived, we’re even, it is done.

Sir please, I don’t think this is very wise from you, he’s dangerous.

Nah, he’s not his father, he’s no assassin. I bet you he’ll be just happy he knows his father is dead and will move on. Let it go Andrew, it’s done.

He ends the call and puts the cell phone away. He then goes back to the champagne and pours himself a generous amount. He then smells the bubbly as he spins it around in the glass before taking a drink.

You’re not your father, you don’t have the balls.

Marcus Ka’Derrion is in his mansion located in a North Bay Road in Miami, Florida. It’s early in the morning, the sun just beginning to rise. He watches it from his rooftop deck, which overlooks the Biscayne Bay, wearing nothing but silk shorts and a white robe as he sips on a mimosa. Behind him comes one of his most trusted bodyguards who hands him a folder.

The weekly security and surveillance report sir.

Anything new?

No sir, nothing. All your assets are safe, your wife and kids too, and while he came back to wrestling, he has stayed focused on XWF and his matches, hasn’t even mentioned you in any of his promos or referenced what happened.

Does he appear to be happy?

More or less, I think it’s clear that he is still sour about not making strides in XWF, has a decent record in Anarchy, plans to -

NOT ABOUT HIS DAMN WRESTLING CAREER! DO I LOOK LIKE I GIVE A DAMN?!

No, you’re right, I do. Was hoping he would tuck his tail between his legs and retire, that would have made ME the happiest man in the world. It’s only a matter of time before he folds like a paper plane, you’ll see Anthony.

He smiles.

If you say so, but I guess you were right about one thing sir.

What’s that?

That he’s not coming for revenge, he’s letting it go. He has completely forgotten about you sir; excuse me.

Anthony leaves, Marcus’ right eye twitches as he crushes the glass in his hand, his smile swept away.

The Paramount Miami World Center, a 60-story building, sits in front of us. We move forward, heading inside, through the fancy lobby, into one of the modern elevators and taking it to the very top, into a large office space. There is only one single white desk, with a sign above it that reads “Legacy Technologies, Inc.” We go around to the right and back, into another room, which is dark with the only light coming from blue, fluorescent lights that line the ceiling and hug the 4 walls of the office. Once our view is adjusted, we see a desk in the middle with a leather chair. On the desk are 9 monitors, connected to each other and each showing all kinds of data and graphs, and numbers that probably only a super tech nerd like Marcus Ka’Derrion would understand. He sits on the chair, ignoring all the activity in the monitors, instead looking at a picture of himself, Xavier, and Paco. They are in some locker room, appeared to have just finished a match and have the tag titles over their respective shoulder. They are all smiles. Marcus cellphone vibrates, letting him know he has received a text message. He grabs it and looks at it, unknown number, then is taken back by what it says.

Feeling sentimental?

Marcus is confused, but the texts continue to come, one line at a time.

You have to let go of the past...

Forget the things you lost and focus on the things you have.

Like this nice jet plane.

Marcus swipes to unlock the phone and then texts back, asking who the hell this is, and what does he mean?

Walk to the window. You can see your private airfield from there, yes?

Marcus jumps to his feet and heads for floor to wall glass walls, not really windows. He looks towards the west, where we can barely make out an airfield. He gets another text message.

My father use to say this before blowing anything up… Boom-biddy-bye-bye…

As Marcus reads this last text, he is startled as he sees an explosion happen right where his private airfield is. His eyes grow wide with both amazement and fear. He writes back.

Xavier?

Your office is next, you have 10 seconds to get out of there.

Deciding not to guess if he is bluffing or not, Marcus hightails it out of his office as his phone begins to ring, his security detail “blowing up” his phone. As he comes around, heading past the white desk, two of his guards join him and ask him what is going on.

It’s going to blow! To the chopper, let’s go!

The guards look at him confused, wondering if that was an Arnold Schwarzenegger impression and if so, it was a terrible one. When they see that he doesn’t stop however, heading into the elevator, they get in with him. Our view changes to the rooftop, where we see the three of them come out of a door, just then another explosion is heard, not seen, and this one a lot closer. They run towards the edge of the building and look down, sure enough, black smoke is now emitting from what used to be his office. Another text comes through.

Did you make it?

A pissed off Marcus replies.

Barely you asshole! Lux, is this you?!”

Only one way to go before the next big bang…

Marcus signals to the guards and they begin to head to the chopper, hoping to escape the next blast, but instead, walk right into it as the chopper gets blown up to smithereens, sending all three of them crashing hard into the wall, knocking them out completely.

Present time...

Police, paramedics and firefighters have arrived, this last group still trying to put out the fire. Marcus is badly stunned, but still feels his cell phone vibrating; he takes it out of his pocket as he pushes a paramedic away. It’s not a text this time, but a call, from the same number; he shakes off the cobwebs and answers.

No, I didn’t forget… and we sure as hell ain’t even, Prince. -☣️

The line goes dead. Marcus drops his arm and lets the phone fall out of his hand. He can’t help to chuckle, then lets the laughter overtake him. The scene switches back to the overlook, where Xavier stands, cellphone in hand, having just hung up on Marcus.

Justin, I don't know how far I'm going to go with this Marcus thing... But know that I'm "all in" for kicking your ass and humbling you. You are not ready for gold in XWF, but I am.
