I used to match write for an old fed I was in, it can be fun and hell all at the same time. What drives the writers to keep doing it show after show here? What kind of match do you lean towards, technical with big spots or more old school angled kind of matches with more story to it

Questions for all 3 of ya and any guests that pop on:

Fave match you wrote? Fave match you read? Hardest type of match to write?

When writing matches do you:
-Plan it out in your head first?
-Watch some wrestling or think back of cool matches you've seen recently?

The ending is the most important moment in any match. How do you work your way towards it?

Is there a danger of obvious reverse momentum? Meaning the one who gets the upper hand early is a likely loser because she'll have looked strong?

Spots! So important. How do you come up with new ones that fit the match and stip?

Agree or disagree: the MOST important aspect of match-writing is reading/scouring the participants' rp's in detail (to discover clues for spots, evolve storylines or get funny commentary lines in)
Followup: if true or not, how does writing a match with angled ooutcome differ from writing one with a result decided by a judge/jury.

I could go on, but... 😊

Panel for this show:

Chris Page, RL Edgar, Big D, Thaddeus Duke (if available), Doc (if available) with appearances by Vinnie Layne and very possible Theo Pryce. We are going to be taking a serious approach to this show tentatively schedule for mid July recording. Should be a good one with TK, Bourbs and myself.

You’ve been asked to write up a match for two characters you’re unfamiliar with.

Describe for me the process.

Do you always start with their roster page? Do you read their promos that week to get material? After material-gathering, how much do you have in-mind and how much is left to fill in?

I think this insight might help people realize just how much labor goes into just one of these matches.

Thank y’all for your hard work!
