The smell of the hall was of disinfectant, Joachim wanted to wretch. Instead he pushed the button on a coffee machine.Then the sludge poured forth. Wicked and foul, it filled thine cup.


"Joachim"


The voice of Lux brought his thoughts to it like a hurricane, acting just as jumbled. Fumbling for things that weren't there. He sighed and settled himself.


"Yes."


Worst in his eyes. Pain seeped through like watercolors on a painting hit by rain.


"He's gone."


Then the unbelievable. He shook.


"What?"


Pause.


"No."


"NO!"


Lux interjected loudly and rather hastily.


"He isn't in his room. He's gone."

On the rooftop, Azrael Erebus and The Engineer are once again, reunited. Engy munched noisily on a cheeseburger with a shake close by as Azzy sat on the divider. After a swallow, Engy looked to the spaceman.


"This is the most I have eaten since..."


He paused. Slightly confused but not wanting to show it. Shaking his head he continued.


"Spaceman Gordon... I've got a question."


"What?"


Azrael looked upon his friend.


"Are these shakes limitless?"


Engy shook his cup impatiently and Az sighed.


"For you, my friend. Yes."


One snap and that's all it took to fill Engy's cup. Dexter smiled.


"You died before. Right?"


"In various ways."


The man from the stars thoughtfully answered


"Ever have tumors in the brain?"


"No. I was drawn and quartered once though. After the hanging didn't work."


"Shiiiit."


"You know what I learned in my long life..."


"Fuckin' kill me now. Here comes something stupid and cheesy. Jesus fucking christ."


"You learn to appreciate moments like this."


"Is that right?"


"Yeah."


Engy shook his cup.


"These shakes are limitless, right?"


Engy slurped loudly through his straw and Az snapped his fingers.


"Anything you want, my friend. Anything you want."
