Célula Part 2

The bed felt like concrete under him--probably because it was. The walls had stains from the moisture in the air, and the cracks were almost enough to fit an entire finger through. Cockroaches snickered, their quiet hiss like an echo in a vast chamber. The walls were covered in dirt and soot, and the moisture made it run off into a muddy pile on the floor of the cell. The moon provided the only light at nighttime, as the light in the cell was blown out and its cover was shattered. The crickets melodies were all that provided sanity. Showers were unheard of. The toilet overflowed more than it flushed and the water out of the sink faucet was a chocolate brown.

Hanari knew he wasn't going to get a fair trial, even though he was a Dominican Citizen, he was being charged with murder. There was no proof that he DIDN'T kill that man, and the authorities are going to believe what they want to believe. A corrupt C.O already offered to get him out, but Hanari wasn't one to take a bribe. He would then owe that man a favor, most likely money, and if he couldn't or didn't pay it he was putting his family at risk.

Hanari was one who was going to face his consequences, always, because he knew he did the right thing. Hell, they could execute him tomorrow and he would die knowing that he was doing the right thing. It drove him. It motivated him. He had to protect his family by taking what came to him, and never complaining. No excuses, no quit.

Hanari was watching a cockroach drag a piece of bread across the dirty cell floor, struggling with it like someone at the gym trying to max out on the weight bench, when he heard footsteps coming down the hall. It was past lights out, nobody should be around in the cell halls this time of night. There was a jingle of keys that could be heard as well, so it was either a janitor or a CO.

The man who stepped in front of Hanari's cell was a CO, but not the same one as before. He had a badge on, and in the Dominican you only wore a badge if you were ranked pretty high. This guy had some clout, for sure.

He stared at Hanari with eyes as cold as the corpses that Hanari knew they buried in the basement. Sickness was prevelant in these places.

"You sure are stubborn" he said in perfect Spanish. "You could get out of here, right now, walk the streets like this never happened. Hell, most guys would be BEGGING me to let them out. Most guys would offer to suck my dick. You really want to spend the rest of your life in here?"

Hanari stared at the man. He wasn't afraid. He knew this was wrong, but begging, never. Hanari believed that life came with consequences, and he made the choice to help that man. Now he was paying for it. Every choice has a consequence.

The man shook his head at Hanari's silence. He walked away but before he left he said
"....you'll crack, they all do."

Hanari laid back on his slab, listening to the crickets. Would he ever see his mother again? Was being the good guy always the good thing to do?

Infierno Part 2

Hanari slammed on the breaks, spinning the tires and screeching the car to a halt. He was on his way back home from helping his mother with groceries and had stopped along the way to visit his sister. He was calm, cool, relaxed. He actually was happy, for once in his life. He felt like everything was finally working out for him. What he saw made his heart stop. Two men wearing ski masks, weird attire for a climate that ever dips below 75 degrees, were running away from a man laying on the ground. There was a red pool forming under the man. Hanari flung the door open and jumped out. He ran over to the man, who had blood running out of his mouth now. He immediately got down on his knees and tried to see if the man was breathing. Asking the downed man who did this to him, all he could do was gurgle. Hanari looked up, he was going to see if the men were still in sight, as he would chase them down. They were nowhere to be seen, probably ducked into some back alley somewhere. He looked back down at the man. Lifting up his torso and holding him close, he told the man it would all be okay. This was before cell phones in the Dominican (they were still newish in the United States) and he glanced around for the nearest pay phone. The mans breathing was slowing. Hanari saw the glass bottle of E & J that was broken with bloody edges. Clearly the weapon used. He picked up the bottle and inspected it. Just then, he saw the lights. The megaphone told him to drop the weapon. Hanari turned and before he could get a word out was hit in the chest with a bean bag from the police's bean bag gun. Clutching his chest, short of breath, he had 3 or 4 officers on top of him before he could process his thoughts. Happening to see the man on the ground, he looked dead at this point, with blood running from the side of his closed lips, Hanari let out a frustrated yell.

He felt the cuffs go on. Before he was stood up he saw one of the men, wearing the same shirt as one of those running away, come jogging over. "I saw him officer, in a fit of rage, attack this man. He used a bottle. I don't know what caused it, but he was like a madman!"

Hanari snarled, but knew the deal. His life, as he knew it, was over. Life in the Dominican could be hell, and he was experiencing it first hand. He groaned as his face and torso was slammed over the cop car.

"Hanari know this es gon' be the fight of his life, mang. Chu es gon' come at Hanari hard, and show no mercy. Hanari es ready for dis fight, and will come out stronger because of it. Whatever happen inside that cage mang, it will make Hanari a better competitor. Et es a huge challenge, and Hanari could not be more ready. Hanari is preparing for pain, preparing to bleed, but es also preparing to come out on top. Adjus' on da fly, mang, and do wha' need to be done. Blood, sweat and Hanari is man enough to admit, probably some tears, and Hanari will come out as the campeón once again. Hanari never expected to be the campeón this early mang, and never expected to be 3-0 in first three matches, but tha wrestling gods are on Hanari side and have blessed him so far. So blessed. Hanari could have never ask for dis, but et es here and now Hanari has to make the most of it.

Chu is jus' a nameplate, a placeholder, but chu has engrained yaself in the name of ya family. Who es chu tryina fool? Everyone see through chu, mang. Chu es not fooling anyone. Chu claim chu no make excuses, and want to showcase Hanari as sounding estupido....okay mang. Whatever helps chu to sleep at night. Chu no make excuses, right? Well, when Hanari bring up a point about your familia being the center focus of EVERYTHING chu do, all ya can do is paddle like a scared dog in a lake. Let Hanari ask chu, does chu do hard drugs mang?

We all do that actually and it has nothing to do with being seen as a single entity. We simply support each other and figured a united front when entering new territory, showed strength. That's why we walk out together at events. We're a united force. Also it's a lot easier to release videos under one account, rather than three separate ones. That's just laziness though. None of that means that I want to be seen as three people, at all times.

Es that no an excuse? Sound pretty defensive, no? Sound like Hanari has backed chu into a corner and chu has to puff ya chest out to sound smart, but chu really have no answer. Chu claim chu don't make excuses, then accuse yaself of being lazy? If that no the biggest excuse Hanari ever hear, he don' kno what es, chico. Hanari pointed out a flaw in ya logic, Donovan, and chu continue to bash ya head into the wall instead of take credit. Chu really es a douche, eh? Hanari would respect chu a lot more than he already do if chu was jus' honest. Chu are a unit, Sí, but none of chu punks stand out any more than the otha. Chu jus' wan to take credit for being better because chu es not a total waste of space and air like chu brother es. Stop tryin' to make excuses for the soiled name ya familia hold and jus' say ya brother es an idiota.......but no...chu won't.....cuz chu es nothing but a fraud, a fake, a loser with an ego bigger than ya waist size. Skinny little punk chu es. A skinny little punk Hanari es going to teach some manners.

Chu, alon' wit many other people, probably hate Hanari for the recent success he had. Chu probably think Hanari do no deserve everythin' that he has right now. That es jus' the jealousy taking, mang. Chu had ya chances. Nobody had beaten Mastermind for 129 days, including chu mang, and Hanari did. Hanari had tha answer, and it make ya all mad. Oh well. Hanari love the XWF, and even though chu es a total asshole, Hanari love chu too. Jus' tha spirit of competition, Hanari can no get enough! Hanari no expect to be put up agains' tha best so early, but he was and he prevailed! So pour out dat haterade mang, and get use to seein' Hanari in the main event picture! Tha nerves es gone, hombre, and Hanari es confident! Hanari represent all that is right in wrestling! He represent all that es good when ya turn on ya TV's! Heart, dedication, grit. Chu es jus a lame who overcompesates for lack of skill by tellin' tha people how awesome chu es! Chu isn't! Chu es everythin' that es opposite of awesome. Chu see, the more chu have to tell everyone, the more it no true! Hanari know he new, know he lucky as hell, but es confident. Chu es cocky, there IS a difference, chico. Hanari es gonna teach chu a lesson inside that cage, humble chu a little. Chu need it. In the matter of four week, Hanari es goin' to have run through two members of la familia, and left ya both wonderin' wha' went wrong. Hanari know what it es, but he gon' let chu figure it out when the Punta Cana kick connect and Hanari pull ya arm from it socket in the middle of that cage, mang! Chu will learn to hustle hard but stay humble!

Look at da crowd mang, et es my tee shirt dey wearing! Et es my face on the marquees, et es Hanari, who has EARNED this. Chu has earned the match by winning las' week, but have no earned the title of campeón, not recently. Hanari know that many people are counting him out, many people are no as confident in him as a campeón as he es en himself, but if anythin' dat fuel Hanari. His entire life he been proving people wrong. Hanari has da best smile in da business, and he gon' use it tomorrow night! Best believe! Chu can say whatever chu want about Hanari at this point, but facts are facts, chu have nothing to go on. Nothing to look at on Hanari record except success, an' chu can no handle it. Chu try to bring Hanari down, but none of it es true. Hanari has been A plus, stellar an has become the feel good story, mang! Chu es jus' a miserable prick who lost his title and has to try to bring young talent down! Anythin' chu say from here on out es going to sound like chu has a mouth fulla plantaines, mang, cuz it es all jus' mush. Hanari es going to prove to chu and to all tha haters that XWF made da right decision putting him in the title match, and the wrong decision making chu number one contender!

Sí, Hanari make a blind squirrel reference, but chu not getting the point. Chu suck, but there es no competition. The mere fact that chu es in dis match IS luck, but chu did win to get here. Chu got lucky to have a match that was within' ya skillset to win, but chu winning it was no luck mang. Chu won it and Hanari respect that. He does. Just jus' got lucky to catch Hanari in one' of his language slip moments, no able to convey what he truly mean. Chu is damn perceptive, Hanari like that!

Hanari es goin' to bring chu to hell, but to Hanari hell has always been his home. Consider dis ya welcoming fiesta!

Viva el dominicano!

Viva el Savage!

Viva el Hanari Carnes!
