Sitting in a large circular hottub, smoking a cigar, Hanari wanted to reflect. He had a long last few days of meeting the XWF fanbase, drinking with friends, telling stories, and verbally kicking the shit out Jessalyn Hart. Tonight was a rest night, where he would reflect on his life, and where he is in it.

He was blessed, so blessed. A lot of people who came from where he came from didn't make it to where he was, but Hanari had a drive unlike many other people that came from where he did. He had more passion about everything he did. He put his heart and soul into everything he did. He loved everything he did. Taking a puff out of his cigar, he began to think what he did to deserve this. Sometimes he wondered if being a good person is enough.

It was. He was where he always thought he could be as a kid---worth something. Those old cliche's that teacher and parents used to spoon feed about hard work and dedication, well, they have paid off. Hanari has worked hard, and now he was champion. Sure, he was new to this whole wrestling thing, but he got by on instinct, smarts, and a whole lot of integrity. Hanari liked to think that he always did the right thing, no matter who wronged him. He would always take the high road. This week had tested him, this week had made him question if he was the person he said he was, it made him wonder if he would do things in that ring to a woman that he would never dream of doing to any woman.

Yes, he would.

It was survival. He was forced to face a woman, and he had to treat her like any other male who stepped to him throughout his life. He had to treat her like she was the biggest threat in the world to his top possession. He had to make her scream, cry, even beg.

He had to break her arm.

As he took another puff from his cigar, he flipped through the channels on his television. He always idolized the people on TV, and now he was one of them. He was a hero. He was the feel good story that all good movies are made of. He was rags-to-riches come up kid. Sometimes good people had to do bad things to stay good. He didn't want to hurt Jessalyn, as angry as he was at her blatent ignorance and undeserved ego. He didn't want to put her on the shelf like he had Mastermind and like he almost did to the Blackwater brother who looks like a homeless version of Ron Howard. He didn't want to but he had to. Hanari Carnes would have to do bad to stay good.

Jessalyn wasn't good for Savage and certainly wasn't good being the representation of heart and integrity on Savage, her attitude was piss poor and her track record was less than ideal. She was, for all intents and purposes, a joke. He respected her as a competitor but her mouth got her in trouble. She needed to learn respect. Even the most intense rivals, the most brutal, bloody, not-suitable-for-the-general-public-rivalries were between two people who respected each other. Hanari respected Jessalyn, hence why he gave her the match when she wasn't the number one contender, but she was making it so hard for him to keep that respect. Truth is, he didn't even dislike her, but he didn't feel she was the right fit for a bowling alley arcade-bar-promo photo much less the face of a great program like Savage. She looks like she smokes a pack a day and was still moist from her most recent motorcycle ride. She was everything that was wrong with American women.

They wanted so much but put out so little.

Women in the Dominican never asked for anything, and never expected anything. They took what they were given. Jessalyn expects Hanari not to bring the wrath of the Caribbean down on her, or that he can't do so, and that is why she will make a fatal flaw.

She thinks that Hanari is too new, too green, and that he isn't ready for the limelight yet. She had been in the limelight for years now, and has nothing but a few bruises to show for it. Hanari was a champion, damnit.

He flipped through the channels until he found something suitable to watch. American TV was such trash. There were times when he wished he was back home. There were times when he would sit in his hotel room and look out at the snow and wonder if he was in too deep.

He had never seen snow before.

But then he knew, everytime his music hit, that he was right where he belonged. The life of the party, the showcase, the one who puts a smile on everyone's face. The one everyone likes. That would at least help him sleep a little better at night. He knew that what he was doing was the right thing and coming here was the right thing. He never expected it to move this fast, but here he was. He expected to have to earn his stripes, fight for his respect, but he was thrust into a title match in his second ever match. Someone in the brass of the XWF saw something in him. Hanari had to prove himself early.

First impressions are lasting.

His first impression would be the one that defined him. Obviously he impressed. His first impression of this tub was that it was a bit too big, not enough jets, and weirdly positioned in the room. His first impression of this cigar was that it was good, but a bit too oaky and the vanilla leaf was a bit over powering. His first impression of American Television was that it was a bunch of shows that made no sense with people who didn't belong being allowed in society much less influencing others. His first impression of the XWF was a company of royalty, a company that was among the most competitive on the planet, who needed Hanari Carnes in their life. His first impression of Jessalyn Hart was no more than the one she made.

Hell, Hanari could see himself actually liking Jessalyn if she wasn't such an obnoxious cunt. Hanari was the hero the XWF needed, and he couldn't let himself fail.

Sometimes good people have to do bad things.

Tomorrow night, Hanari Carnes had to break Jessalyn Hart's arm.

Your winner, and STILLLLLL XWF TELEVISION CHAMPION, HANARI CARNES

Oh the fiesta he would throw. Oh the night that would follow. Maybe he would even invite Jessalyn, she could use some fun in her life.

He reached over and picked up his cell phone, dialing some numbers in rapid succession.

"Madre, ¿alguna vez te dije que te amaba?" (Mother, have I ever told you that I loved you)

"Demasiadas veces" (too many times)

"Hanari find it funny, Muy chistoso, that Jessalyn want to throw in Hanari face her "establish" track record and try to downplay da match by sayin Hanari a nobody. Chu know nothing about Hanari, and da jus how Hanari want it. Hanari won tha belt because he was better, chica, than the current champion. Tha one dat chu refer to as "over tha hill" and "middle aged" and "washed up", still held tha title for as long as he did. Where was chu? ¿Dónde estabas? If chu es sooooo good, why didn't chu take the title from Mastermind? Hanari know why....because Seniorita Hart es all bark and no bite, muchachos! Not only does chu look like un perro, chu bark like one too! Chu try to throw in Hanari face how inexperience he is, and chu es right, but one thing chu never mention is Hanari heart. Something chu don't have other than an ID that says it, mang! Chu discounting Hanari win, when Hanari gave chu credit for yours! Yes, chu have some gold here, or........did........but Hanari has become tha new sensation and Jessalyn want a piece of el pastel, the cake, for herself. Hanari no blame ya, chu es a competitor. Problem es, chu suck at competing! That es a big problem, chica. Hanari has met so many people since coming here, and so many of them have such kind words for Hanari. So many of them believe in Hanari. So many of them have told Hanari PERSONALLY that he can be great. Not one of them, ninguna, had a good word to say about chu, Jessalyn! Not one positive then, chica. Yet, the only one who want to say a bad word about Hanari es Negative Nancy herself! Niña estas loca! An' Hanari doesn't hate chu, in fact Hanari doesn't even dislike ya. No. Hanari jus' know what he can do, and wat chu has proven chu can't, and Hanari refuse to be walk on........Hanari has heart of campeón.

Hanari was built for this, built to survive. Hanari has spent an entire life provin' people wrong, and now mi gente believe more than eva! If Hanari had lose his firs' match, mang, than you all could talk. But Hanari didn't, Hanari win!

¡Hanari gana!

¡Hanari gana!

¡Hanari gana!

And Hanari will continue' to win, becuz that was Hanari do, mang. Every time Hanari es counted out, suppose' to fail, Hanari rise to occasion. Hanari never had a choice but to make somethin' out of nothin', and he isn't going to let some conasending puta tell him different. Hanari knows who he is, and that is all he needs. He feed off the hate, mang. He love it. He need it. Ther' es always one in tha bunch who get proven wrong, and dis week it gonna hafta be chu, chica! Hanari es not gonna be one of dem transition champs....too much' pride for dat. An' maybe if someone with a PROVEN track record like Mastermind were to beat Hanari, bueno, but not chu. Not someone who make a habit of being bad, mang. Not someone who don't know how it feel to win! Hanari only associate with winners!

So tomorrow night, Jessalyn, Hanari gon' do what he do, and chu gon do what chu do. Hanari gon' win, chu gon' lose, and thats the whole truth.
