There is a vast portal that exists around this planet... this... galaxy... this universe. It swells and stretches. A limitless wonder that expands to fit everything in existence. Nothing is too big or small. It accepts all that it touches and it does touch all. With the exception of those trapped within the Realm of Madness but that's neither here nor there. An illusion and reality, that's both real and fake. A solid, tangible object and an empty void. This massive abyss, excludes the Realm of Madness because it is both vital and worthless at the same time. Limitless and nothing at all. Simultaneously. The boundless awe has no way of placing itself around something that is both there and gone, for it is too wrapped around the things that are actually physically, real and there and stay that way. Frankly, it has no mind or care for dealing with something that is both solid and not. This vast portal encompassing everything it touches is of course, more commonly known merely as - Time. An infinite thing that the silly think was invented by mortal man, actually prolongs and extends far beyond that of humanity. Through the stars and across the other limitless wonder known as the universe. Which explains why Time and The Realm of Madness aren't the best of friends.

Why is the subject of time being brought up? Well, there is another truly magnificent, marvel that it will soon open up on and grant awareness for the unseeing eyes of the masses. In order to give insight and enlightenment about his existence. To illuminate the mind towards an implausible being of everlasting luminescence, fated for a life of the strange, spectacular and illogical. He would challenge the nature of thought and bend the concept of reality to his very will. Born under the name Azrael Erebus, this journey won't go as far as to the day of his actual birth. Instead it shall merely stretch back to his entrance into the unbelievable and astounding. When he was a young alien choosing to embark on adventure and the thrills of the unknown. Rather than remain stuck in a life that once seemed like his heart's desire, that ultimately would reveal itself to be poison to his very essence and promised to snuff out the fire that burned within and tragically become his prison for as long as his heart would beat inside his chest.

Time will drop the ever inquisitive watcher, at the exact position when this spirited traveler, decided to take to the night and leap into what would ultimately lead down the path of his true destiny. That leap of course, wouldn't prove to come so easy, as it was launched out of a palace window. A very high, palace window that sat within the wall of his husband; the future high council leader, Orion's window. Married not more than four days, Azrael; the grand champion, liberator and savior of his people and planet during The Great War that had only just recently ended, threw caution to the wind and jumped. A leap that would lead to a mighty, long fall and an eventual...

THUD!

"Not my finest landing. Fuck."

Pushing himself up off of the ground, this exquisitely pale, raven haired warrior, stood tall, statuesque and perfectly toned in the night. Dressed in loose fitting black garments and boots, he looked out towards the stone wall that blocked his desired path, the wall that towered above him and sighed. This would not be the thing that ended his quest, for in an instant, he was dashing across a now completely pitch black courtyard. With determination in his eyes, Azrael took a flying leap and sank a dagger with precision into the first spot of loose mortar, that would aid in his ascent onward to the top of the wall. Quickly and quietly, Azrael climbed, until he reached the apex of the wall and another long drop. However, this time, instead of being on the receiving end of another unpleasant, impending crash, he landed with both feet, firmly placed on the ground. Then came the immediate running. Speeding as fast as his legs would take him, Azrael shot through the darkened streets and alleyways of the small village that encompassed the palace he chose to escape. Careening at full speed, yet still lingering close to the shadows, Azrael continued onward without stopping until he met his destination. The military stronghold of Ozuul and the place that was furiously working to launch its brand new space travel program.

Entry was rather simple for Azrael, a bit of dodging and ducking into darkened corners and the obscurity of shadows, till he found the right door and a guard conveniently entering the stronghold. He never saw Azrael coming. It was almost too easy and this filled Azrael with a peculiar combination of laughter and trepidation. He stepped over the guard with a purposeful crunch to the back of his head. Thaues was a real cunt, back in the days of the war. Azrael moved forward and into the building. Stealthily sweeping through the shadows once more, his eyes frantically panned the room, until he located what he wanted. A nice and shiny, brand new spacecraft. The ship was a tall, sleek, square silver box with a long, opaque door located within its face. It opened with the single push of a button. A button that Azrael pushed with eager intensity and instant relief when it rushed open for him with a gentle whoosh. A whoosh that was quickly followed by a soft swoosh as it swiftly shut behind him. Next came the hard part though, the controls. Azrael stared on like a mouse looking at a piece of cheese trapped inside a block of lucite, then did what any impulsive being like Azrael would do and pushed the biggest button. Various lights flashed, there was some hissing and then in the time it would take to blink, the craft went missing.

Azrael, was soon gazing out at the spectacular, glory of the universe. Glittering stars, swirling nebulas, planets and moons, graced the obsidian canvas and he was simply, swept away. It was the most beautiful thing he ever seen. In fact, he was so taken aback, that alas he didn't take heed of the asteroid cluster headed straight for him. This would lead to an unfortunate series of crashes. First, when a single asteroid collided with the spaceship. Second, while Azrael flailed and fumbled with the switches, dials and buttons, laid out on the control panel in front of him. Third, fourth, fifth and sixth came from asteroids that struck it as the craft swirled and spun about in utter disarray. Then finally seventh arrived, after the spacecraft met the gravity field of the first planet and came into contact with its atmosphere. Burning up, the ship plummeted chaotically towards the ground, a course that ended with it becoming a totally destroyed, former flying space machine.

What exactly was this space machine? Lets take an inspection! No, not into the completely wrecked one, currently embedded within an unknown planet's crust but the craft in general. Well, it was an impressive ship, built by the finest scientists the Ozuul high council could find. Brilliant minds that thought outside of the box and a guy named Vexter, that wasn't from Ozuul. He just showed up one day and had good ideas, so they let him help. Anyway these ships carried many abilities and uses while traveling across the universe. They were meant to trek through the stars and carry the phenomenal act of teleportation. Through space, time, dimension and all of reality. This latter jaw dropping factor was not so much what the scientists and Vexter really equipped within the ship though. Sure. They built the vessels and gave them the power to launch towards the sky and fly through galaxies but they weren't technically, the creators of the teleportation factor.

Loosely based, it could be said they were since they were the beings that discovered and harvested, the living organisms that were then placed within the spaceships but really, that's all they did in attribution to the teleportation capability. The real power that would go on to breathe life into the ship's controls and navigation process, was a small, glowing, teal ball shaped, lifeform called Gaeas. Featureless, they continuously admitted their glow and carried the capacity to alter objects, adapt and when the need suited them, shift through time, space, dimension and reality. Which ultimately placed them on Ozuul, only to be harvested, stuffed into spaceships and used for Ozuul's personal gain, due to their also curious nature and friendly desire to heed the aid of others. Despite their own lack of verbal communication capability. However, when in danger and if the Gaea saw fit, it could bond with any living thing's essence, binding with that being forever. Thus bringing this all back to the demolished spaceship and Azrael laying, bruised and broken on its floor.

His eyes fixated on a radiant teal ball, that sat within the dismantled control panel, he couldn't fathom what it was or what it truly had the capacity to accomplish. Curious, he reached out for it; however, tragically before he could actually put his hand upon the shimmering ball, there was a frightful growl that averted his attention. Followed by the sound of metal, ripping apart as the ship was torn and rapidly broken into by the enormous claws of a very large, white furry beast that came snarling into the ship. Backing against the mangled control panel, Azrael went for his trusty three barreled gun as he sat in silent horror and anticipation of certain death. However, that's when something momentous also took event. The Gaea would surge forth and permanently join with Azrael's essence, tethering them together from that moment forth unto eternity. The process was instantaneous, the Gaea seethed into Azrael via his back and filled his body with a brilliant flash, that would snuff out just as quickly as it shone forth. Breathing heavily, Azrael shook his head and returned his gaze to the creature. His eyes suddenly smoldering with a touch of actual flames, he fired his weapon. An action that only angered the beast and caused it to rush towards him even faster, with a thunderous roar. Instinctively, Azrael's hand moved in front of himself for protection as the beast impacted with his body.

It hit heavily into Azrael and shoved him against the control panel. Azrael grabbed onto the creature and prepared to fire another shot. Point blank within the beast as it growled a heated, drooling breath into his face. It was at this precise second, something strange occurred. A blazing light emitted from Azrael's hand on through the beast's body, abruptly leaving the beast a heap of smoking dust, that soon started to take to the breeze. Shocked by what happened, Azrael swallowed deeply and dropped to the floor. A tremble took to his body, along with confusion and then a need to go home. Corresponding that need, he found himself sat on the ground in front of the palace that he had desperately ran from only a short while ago. More troubling though was when Azrael rose his eyes upward, he saw the sight of Orion within his bedroom window and heard the echoing voice that came descending down onto him.

"Welcome home, husband."

Azrael popped up with a start. He knew that if he didn't enter the palace, there would soon be palace guards. Guards that would gladly help him with this task and that was the last thing that Azrael wanted. He wanted to get away from this nightmare, not return. So with a bust of sudden indignation, Azrael cast his stare up to the window and stated.

"Goodbye, husband."

For a cocky added effect, Azrael smirked, snapped his fingers and disappeared. To a place uncertain. The year was 610 A.D

End Transmission...
