For the most part, Savage Saturday Night will be carrying over the rules that were being used on the recent Shove Its. Champions will appear/defend on either show, depending mainly on their preference of show. Universal Champion will obviously be universal and is expected to be able to defend on either show as challengers are established. As mentioned in the Warfare thread, both shows are going bi-weekly, giving us alternating shows from week to week with around 2 week RP windows for matches.

There's not a lot that needs to be explained since this will be the more normal show and probably where more people participate.

Savage Saturday Night Basics:
-3 RP's per match unless noted otherwise
-2,000 word limit
-Shows will always be held live in Las Vegas, Nevada
-Traditional, up to R-Rated: People can rp however they wish for the most part, only nobody is going to rape or decapitate the Pope, dip their head in period blood, then shoot it through a basket set over a vat of shit on the show. Our take is "we can't get the clearance to do it at the Trump International/all the insurance budget for the really crazy shit is spent on Warfare."

High Stakes Chips System:
-3 High Stakes chips are in circulation on Savage Saturday; they have the potential to be real game changers in the title scene!
-Earn poker chips by defeating a chip holder or at The Judge's discretion.
-Only one poker chip can be defended in a match. In matches with 2 or more chip holders, The Judge will decide whose chip is on the line.
-Once you've collected all 3 chips, you're ready to cash out for an X-Bux reward and a match against the champion.
-New chips are introduced to the game after someone collects all 3. If someone collects all 3 of the new chips, the old chips become obsolete and that player loses their title shot.
-No trading, gifting, or intentionally losing chips to other players!
-Champion is ineligible for chips.

Questions and comments welcome!

Just to explain my question a bit. I'm way into the idea of a fed with out some of the shenanigans we will be seeing on warfare, but if savage Saturday is just a dull wrestler vs wrestler show then I dunno what I'd do. Having feuds and running storylines is a big part of why I do this, I just prefer them grounded in reality.

If the only real difference is just this being more reality based and R rated then I'm so in for Saturday's.

I think Warfare will essentially have the "creative team" determining stories for you with your input, whereas Savage will be more up to you to keep a story going.

I'm certain that the showrunners would be fully onboard with anything you wanted to do in that regard and would help it along, but wouldn't necessarily be coming up with the ideas for you.

I feel exactly the same way as Travis. A realistic story driven fed is ideal for me.

This show will be more like what Loverboi explained... I mean the segments/attacks/etc form will always be there. You're welcome to use it as often as you like. It can be used to send attacks, counter attacks, spots for your match, and other segments that you feel will further your story. When you need to interact with somebody but don't know in advance who that person will be, you can write the other person's name as _________ and the team will obviously fill in that spot with the person's name you end up attacking or interacting with. Things like that ARE ALWAYS and have always been welcome on any and all shows. It's just... too few people seem to use them.

So yeah, SSN will be as story driven as you guys make it, I'd imagine. If you're regularly sending segments and things in, you're pretty much going to be a major part of the show.

I'm sure Maddy or Judge can chime in here and be even more specific on this, and how they'd prefer it to be handled, if I left anything out or explained it wrong...

Hi!

First off, there will be storylines. We as matchwriters and bookers literally feed off of them to essentially make our job a little easier. Feel free to angle all you want. The primary difference between our storylines and the ones as from Warfare is there will be more input from you and feuds are based off of your own actions.

Also, the three High Stakes Chips!

Red: Your character gains the services of 10 valets of your choosing. Human, within the realistic confines of the Savage Saturday Night theme promotes. Well, whatever you wish in earnest, just don't expect to bring 10 zombie elephants into the arena.

Blue: Your character gains access to the presidential suite at the Trump International hotel and casino.

Green: Your character gets 24/7 limousine service.

These are the key IC differences between each chip.

I will be happy to address any further Savage Saturday Night questions here, via PM, or even over dinner (I prefer Italian, just call Domino's they know me).

I've always seen the whole "take the information that we give you on the shows and implement it into your character's story" as kind of a given. I can't think of a scenario where someone who's successful at the game didn't use the segments from the shows in their RP's.

I imagine that if a group of thugs attack you backstage... you're going to talk about it, right? That just seems like wrestling 101.

So yeah, talk about shit that's going on in your RP's. I thought we already knew that.

Judge's perk system sounds fun to me. That's a cool little story that people can expand on or ditch depending on their character's personality. You've got the GM of the company going out of his way to provide your character with a limousine. Maybe you take advantage of that and throw wild parties inside. Or maybe you're the type who's all "fuck the system" and you want nothing to do with that fancy stuff. Again, that just seems like a common sense play that most people would use.

I got no problem with that buddy. I dunno if this is the place to do it but when there is a booking thread up I'm down. Might be good if you could find a tag partner between now and then so you can go against RFTP

But I'd be down for a singles match too.

Just a thought but a three promo limit for 10/13 day promo period seems like a low number. Would making it a four or five promo limit be out of the question?

I know that we can probably fiddle with limits match by match, and the word limit is just fine for me. Just as a general rule three seems low for how long we have to promo
