THE MORNING OF SHOVE IT - RUMBLE

THE GROVE GOLF COURSE

LONDON'S COUNTRY ESTATE

HERTFORDSHIRE, LONDON, ENGLAND

Mastermind arrives at The Grove Golf Course just hours before Shove It - Rumble. He has decided to play 9 Holes of Golf, and also meet his Financier to discuss some matters.

He sees his Financier, Mr. Jack Armstrong The Second over by a Golf Buggy. He had also put on board two sets of golf bags. Mastermind walks over to him and shakes his hand.

JACK: "Hey 'M' thanks for setting this round up."

"No problems Jack."

JACK: "You're looking good."

"Don't feel good. I've been on the road for just over a week, I had a real hard fought match with Ruben A Mitchell on Wednesday, and straight after I found myself involved in a Mini Battle Royal. So feeling tired, missing Maria, and I have another week to go. Here in London today, then in Miami, Florida, on Monday and then Washington D.C for Wednesday. I'll try and sneak home for a couple of days."

JACK: "Well I guess that's the life of a touring wrestler. You signed up for it."

"I know, I know."

JACK: "Aren't you facing Peter Gilmour on Wednesday?"

"I am, I am."

JACK: "I am a big fan of his, as well as you too of course."

"Of course, of course."

JACK: "Can you please get his autograph for me 'M'."

Mastermind looked at his Financier with disgust.

"Really? Really?"

Jack smiled.

JACK: "Na, not really. But I'll get it one day."

"Of course you will. Come on let's get on the course."

Jack and Mastermind got on the buggy and took off. For the first two holes they spoke about business. Mastermind shot a 5 on the first Par 4 hole, while Jack got a 6.

On the second hole which was another Par 4, Mastermind sunk another 5 while Jack shot 7.

Heading to the third hole which was a par 3, Mastermind brought up the subject of his father.

"So Jack, Maria told me, you gave her my father's number."

Jack looked down as they traveled to Hole 3.

JACK: "Yes she told me that she told you. I was waiting for this."

They got to the start of Hole #3, and Jack stopped the buggy. They got off and started preparing.

"So why didn't you tell me you had my father's number after all of this time?"

Jack placed his ball on the pin, looked up the fair way, and shot. The ball sailed directly to the right of the green. He looked back at Mastermind.

JACK: "Dam it, stupid shot. Because he made me promise not to let you know."

"Why?"

Mastermind place his ball, and took the shot. The ball sailed towards the green, and landed on it. It looked to be 15 inches short of the hole. They headed towards the buggy.

JACK: "He told me, that even though you did what you did when you were younger, you were still his child, and he couldn't just turn his back on you. But he couldn't approach you either."

They got on the buggy and traveled towards the green in silence. Mastermind was digesting what Jack had said.

Jack took two shots to sink the ball, making it par, while Mastermind took one shot ending up with a birdie. Again they got on the buggy and headed to Hole #4 in silence.

They both shot their shots on the Par 5 hole, and returned to the buggy.

"You know I employ you right."

JACK: "Of course."

"You know you are meant to tell me anything to do with my business right?"

JACK: "Of course. But this wasn't part of your business."

"That's where you are wrong Jack. My father is my business. My father asking you to keep stuff from me is my business. It's my business. Personal life, or Business life, everything is my business."

Jack drove in silence for a few minutes, and came to where his ball lay.

JACK: "I'm sorry."

"No Jack I'm sorry."

JACK: "Why?"

"Because at the end of the day it's a business betrayal, and I can't forgive that. So without further a due, you're fired."

JACK: "But after all my years of service."

"I appreciate what you've done, and you'll find when you get back to NZ, an envelope waiting for you with your years of service in it. It's time for me to move on. It's time for you to move on. Your assistant Jeremy Boxal, has been informed and he is now in charge of my Finances. It's been a pleasure doing business with you Mr. Armstrong."

Jack was shocked when Mastermind shook hands with him. Mastermind got out of the buggy and headed towards the club rooms.

"Well Peter Gilmour where do I start with you? You seem to have gotten yourself in messes that you can't seem to get out of. No one likes you, and I don't know why. Maybe you rub people the wrong way with your aggressive attitude.

"For me I respect you, as you are one of the guys who have been here a long time. If this was last year, I would have left you alone, but since Turning Point I have come to realize that in order to make it big, I need to step it up. So I can't wait to take you on, on Wednesday.

"I'm keeping this short at the moment, because well I have to do a lot of research on you. But I know I can beat you. I'm that confident.

"You have had some closes losses as of late, and I know that will rile you up, but I can also play off the back of that. I will play off the back of that. I know that I can beat you, I'll find what pulls your strings, and well with the respect factor there's also the knowledge that you'll come out firing. Good luck with that."
