Darren Dangerous relaxes in his hotel room with a case of Mickey’s watching the final moments of one of the last scaffold matches to take place in the United States, Vic Grimes vs. New Jack from XPW’s Freefall.



Darren: Forty feet, forty fucking feet… It was bad enough New Jack was involved but that fall should have killed Vic Grimes and apparently damn near did.

Darren turns off the television and reaches inside the green box for another beer. He pops the tab and takes a large swig thinking about his upcoming scaffold match with the stupid British Crumpet, Scully. This match wasn’t just some run of the mill match, it will be historic as there has never been a scaffold match in the world with a height of 50 feet. Darren was no stranger to making history though. He won the title he once invented, The Lord Of Ultra-Violence in a match he also created. He called it the Slaughterhouse Match where he faced his nemesis Heretic in a match that took place inside an abandoned 3 story house full of weapons and very faulty flooring. The man who got out of the house first was the winner. Darren dislocated his shoulder and broke his hand in that match, but he still came out on top.

Darren had reached a point in his career where he had taken bumps that no one else in the business would ever dare taking. He was tossed off a 3 story building once by Santa Clause in a Christmas championship scavenger hunt. He landed on a car and smashed through the windshield. He bled and suffered some intense injuries but in the end it only made him stronger. Darren knew this scaffold match will require extreme focus and precise movement in which one wrong move could not only end a career but a life. Darren was not afraid however, one thing he knew for certain was he lacked all the doubts that Scully has and will use those doubts to set his plan in motion. What would happen if Scully survives the fall? Will Choda Boy be genuinely disappointed in his protégé? Will he expose him to some form of punishment? Why should Darren care? He only saw Choda Boy to be as fake as the dildo on the top of his head, and Scully, the unsure and bumbling rookie will be completely helpless.

Suddenly there was a knock at the hotel room door.

“Who the hell could that be?” Darren thought to himself. He made his way to the door and opens it. There is nothing there other than the warm night air and the sound of crickets chirping in the nearby parking lot. He looks down to the welcome mat outside the door where a white envelops lies with something scribbled on it.

“Seriously? How original” Darren muttered under his breath.

He picks up the envelope and walks back into his room. He can feel that within the envelope is a hard object. He looked at the writing on the outside of the envelope. “History will repeat itself” it read. Puzzled, Darren opened the envelope to reveal a disc. It appeared to be a blank dvd. Darren put it in the complimentary dvd player that came with the room and turned the tv back on. This is what was on the disc.



“So Crumpet has seen my matches” Darren said, laughing about the video clip. It was an old clip from years before his XWF days when he still had to prove his worth to some people. Needless to say that fall put a shard of glass through his arm and got him a free trip to the hospital. Darren didn’t see this as an insult whatsoever, more as a way of further proving his point. Darren is not afraid to get hurt in order to get what he wants.

Darren retrieves his laptop and scims over the XWF website where a headline quickly catches his eye, “Will The Mysterious Mr. WGWF Make Good On His Promise To Dangerous?” The headline brings a smile to his face as all the things Choda Boy had said to him as of late came across his mind. He clicked on the article and read its contents.


The story made Darren laugh thinking to himself that the writer of the article could possibly be favoring him. Who the hell is this kid from England anyway? If he was such a great performer in the ring then Mr. WGWF would have no reason to interfere. Darren didn’t mind though, he would be more than happy to throw him off the scaffold as well. Maybe the fall would even break the guy’s neck. It wouldn’t be any of his concern since he didn’t ask for Choda boy to come to the ring.

Darren was tired and wanted to end his day on a higher note rather than thinking about Choda Boy’s dead bloody carcass. He turned his hotel television to the free porn channel and was amazed to see his former manager, Amanda Hands looking great and getting gang DPed by a black guy and a midget. Darren turned off the lamp next to his bed and climbed under the covers ready for bed.
