MAIN EVENT X-Treme Championship Mark Flynn - vs - Jessie Diaz X-Treme Rules Match

The lights in the arena fade to black as "Contact" by Trocadero begins to play over the loudspeakers. Small flashes of white light pierce the darkness at random intervals, until the lights explode back to life as the vocals begin. It is at this point when Jessie emerges from the back, making her way to the ring. During the walk, she doesn't once look up from the ground. Upon reaching the ringside area, she rolls under the bottom rope and gets back up. She brushes herself off before heading to her corner.


Mark Flynn’s music begins to bellow around the arena and the current X-Treme Champion emerges at the top of the ramp without an expression on his face. He is wearing an overblown robe and is staring blankly at the ring, ignoring Jessie Diaz’s attempts at eye contact. The Championship dangles over his right shoulder and as he enters the ring he hands the belt to the referee.

DING! DING! DING!

The bell rings and suddenly Flynn’s eyes light up and he sprints across the ring at Diaz who leaps over an oncoming knee. She runs off the ropes and hits Flynn with a chop block. Flynn drops down to one knee and Diaz spins around and hits Flynn with a kick to the back of the head sending him head first to the mat.

She grabs Flynn by the right leg and lifts his knee into the air and slammed it down on the mat. She tries to do it again but the Champion spins around and grabs her by the ankle. He pulls her by the ankle and she drops to the mat as well.

The two of them begin to roll around throwing forearms and jabs at each other. Flynn eventually comes out on top. He gets to his feet and Diaz is close behind but she’s met with a lariat. The Champion runs off the ropes and as Diaz gets to her feet he plants her with another, and a third. She’s down, in the centre of the ring. Flynn sprints to the turnbuckle and then sprints back, leaps into the air.

Kick out by Diaz!

Flynn grabs her by the hair and lifts her to her feet. He sends her head first into the turnbuckle and then unloads a flurry of cross body chops to the chest. Diaz roars out in pain as she drops to two knees.

Flynn sprints across the ring, and bounces off the ropes, and then continues running until he bounces off the opposite ropes and then grabs her by the head and smashes her face down into the floor with the running bull dog!

He then grabs her my the left arm and locks in an arm-bar in the centre of the ring. He holds it there for a short period of time but Diaz uses her legs to roll forward and flip Flynn over.

Both of them are on the ground now, they struggle to their feet. Diaz goes straight after the weakened right leg of Flynn with a chop block. She picks up the right leg and slams it down onto the mat.

She follows this up by calmly stomping on the right knee continuously. She grabs him by the legs… what’s this?

The Figure Four Leglock!

That’s Mark Flynn’s own finisher right there! She’s got it locked it in on him! What an insult!

Flynn struggles desperately to the ropes but Diaz pulls him back into the centre of the ring!

He is rolling around in agony! He may well have to tap out here!

NO! Diaz’s grip loosens for just enough time for Flynn to stretch forward and hit an elbow to her left arm!

She screams in agony and Flynn does a backwards roll out of it, his right knee almost buckles as he reaches his feet. He is clearly hurt!

Flynn with the eye rake to Diaz! She’s blinded for a moment and Flynn takes the opportunity to kick her in the gut and plant her with a Impaler DDT!

He scurries into the cover and hooks the leg!!

Kick out!!

He tries to hook the leg again but Diaz counters with her own thumb to the eye!

Flynn is now blinded. She grabs him by the head and spins it around before planting him on the mat, executing a powerful neckbreaker.

Both competitors are currently down and out! They struggle to their feet…

Flynn begins to unload kicks to Jessie’s legs.

Left, right, left, right.

She drops down to one knee on the final kick.

Flynn roars as he grabs her from behind and then plants Diaz on the mat with a reverse DDT!


He falls into the cover and hooks the leg.

KICKOUT!

Flynn seems frustrated, he gets up and begin to go to work on her left arm yet again. He stomps on it a couple of times before dropping to the mat, grabbing her arm and smashing it into the turnbuckle.

He then climbs back up to the ring apron… runs… knee drop onto the arm!!

Diaz screams out in pain, she rolls into the ring clutching at her left arm in complete and utter agony.

Flynn may well have it here.

He slides into the ring and grabs her by the left arm and plants it to the mat with a single armed DDT! He proceeds to lock in a Triangular Chokehold with added pressure to the left arm!

She’s really struggling here, but she desperately pulls herself closer to the ropes, using all of her lower body strength to do so. Flynn tries to pull her back into the centre of the ring but this gives her a second to roll out of it, and she’s got Flynn in a sunset pin!

Kickout!


She nearly caught Flynn off-guard there. They both sprint off the ropes, Diaz ducks under a oncoming lariat from the current champion.

She leaps up onto the middle rope and pushes her feet down on the middle rope, flinging herself back at Flynn with a springboard elbow!

She takes him down but is clearly wounded as she takes several moments to recover and she continues to clutch at that left arm.

Flynn struggles to his knees but is on the receiving end of a kick to the chest! And then a kick to the back! Again and again she powers away at his chest before finally knocking him to the ground with a roundhouse kick to the skull!


Then she hits her signature move!

The Bait and Switch! (Snap DDT)

She begins to feign an injury, Flynn checks on her and she catches him with a small package!

Kick out!

Flynn is furious, he hits her in the eye with yet another eye rake and then throws her left shoulder first into the turnbuckle!

He then grabs her in a headlock, lifts her up into a suplex position then in mid-air nails the cutter!

He calls that move The End, and is it the end for Jessie Diaz here?

The cover by Flynn, he hooks both legs!

Thr…. NO! KICK OUT!


That was last inch from Diaz and Mark Flynn really cannot believe it! He thought he had the match won there!

He looks up at the referee in disbelief and struggles to his feet, he catches his breath by holding onto the top ropes for a moment as a “This is awesome” chant breaks out in the crowd.

Flynn turns to see Diaz is slowly getting to her feet.

He picks her up by the hair and then begins to lift her up in the atomic drop position but she gets a thumb to the eye! The referee warns her once again but she ignores him and instead runs off the ropes and hits a dropkick to Flynn’s weakened right leg!

Flynn drops to one knee and Diaz hits him with a forearm to the temple before running off the ropes and flying knee first straight into Flynn’s chest!

She lands almost in the cover but the Champion manages to flip her off of him instantly and then as Diaz runs at him he grabs her and plants her with a reverse powerslam!

Flynn looks to go up high now!

Diaz slowly gets to her feet and as she does…


Flynn dives off the ropes...

Diaz catches him! Standing switch... That she capably maneuvers into a Russian leg Sweep! AND SHE ROLLS THROUGH! SHE'S GOT IT!

SHE'S GOT THE LOST CAUSE LOCKED IN! FLYNN IS HOWLING IN PAIN! HE GOT HIS WISH! HE'S TRAPPED IN THE LOST CAUSE, DEAD CENTER OF THE RING!

WE MAY HAVE A NEW X-TREME CHAMPION TONIGHT!

FLYNN HAS NOWHERE TO GO! SCREAMING IN AGONY!!!!

FLYNN...

ROLLS HIS SHOULDER OFF THE MAT, PROPELLING HIMSELF OFF HIS FRONT AND ONTO HIS BACK... DIAZ'S GRIP MAY NOT BE TIGHT ENOUGH ON FLYNN'S BOOT...

HE LAUNCHES HIMSELF UP AND LATCHES ONTO DIAZ'S ARM...

AND BRINGS HER DOWN!!!!!

AND HE TWISTS HER ARM BEHIND HER BACK!

HE'S GOT IT FUJIWARA ARMBAR!!! RIGHT WHERE DIAZ JUST HAD HIM IN THE CENTER OF THE RING!!!


He’s got her weakened arm and she’s got nowhere to go!!

She taps out and this one’s over!!!


What a match! What a main event!

Winner AND STILL the Xtreme Champion: Mark Flynn

Flynn has done it! He promised he would be able to reverse that move and by god he more than proved he could!

The referee pulls him to his feet and places the championship in his hand and raises his arm!

Diaz put up one hell of a fight but Mark Flynn has more than proved himself as a fighting champion!


The shot fades!

"To Miss Diaz."

"I did what I said I would do and defended my X-Treme Title."

"And in doing so, prevented you from winning your first singles title in the XWF."
